Well let me say, of the many, many dentists I"ve had over 50+ years, Dr. Lambat is in the top THREE. She is very aware of your dread in being here, and makes every effort to put you at ease. She asked me several times during the procedure, if I doing was O.K. The office also will also work with you for payment and helps with dental discounts plans. There is one more thing you should be made aware of. . . . If your show ANY signs of a sense of humor, she will run with it. Dr. Labat is funny. I mean Comedy-Central-Funny. She has a sharp wit, and had me cracking up the whole time, and that's pretty difficult with sharp instruments in your mouth. Dr. Lambat, if you're reading this .... "Shhuuuuut Uuuuuup."

I walked in and they were so nice up front and got me checked in with ease. As I get called to the back, they ask me if I am in need of anything as they ask me what's going on. Moving along I finally meet the doctor, Dr. Horwat. I will say I love this guy. He was extremely busy as 2 other emergency cases flew in at the same time. He still kept everything cool calm and collective. He explained the procedure that I needed and just made me feel comfortable. He told me everything up front and still gave me the option of getting it done by him or happily elsewhere. He and his assistants were so great I felt at ease and elected to get the procedure done. The procedure was so intense that he had to drill into the bone up in the gums. (Sorry for being so specific, but there is a reason for this). I did not feel a thing! I barely felt the shot he injected into my mouth after the initial topical was applied. I applaud this doctor and would TELL EVERYONE to go to him. I am extremely satisfied. He gave me his cell number and office number. Told me to give him a call or text at any time of the day because whatever I needed was important to him because I was his patient. My procedure was to cause much pain after a few days, but thankfully I am on day 3 after the procedure and I can honestly say he worked his magic because my pain is very minimal. Until now, I have received 3 calls from his office as they continue to check up on me. He has been a general dentist before he became an endodontist. He said he had been specializing for 12 years now, and his expertise was clearly visible. He walked me through the procedure as he was working on me and just made me feel comfortable. I mean think about it, you're in pain coming in, have to have this huge procedure done, you are freaking out with all the weird noises, verbiage, and even smells coming from the procedure. I cannot thank this doctor and his staff enough. This was such a great experience that, heaven forbid I need another one, I'd take a plane ride to get work done by this guy. No exaggeration here guys; he is the truth! Thanks for everything Bluegrass!!!!!

I read amazing things about Dr. Horwat prior to my visit, and they were telling the truth. He was absolutely amazing, quick, and very personable. He and Katie made me comfortable and it was such a great experience. The women at the front were also kind and super pleasant. Overall, I can't believe how painless and nice this procedure/experience was!

There was sufficient, though not overwhelming, communication between the office and myself. I completed all paperwork well in advance of my appointment. At no time during this communication was I told that I must have someone present DURING my procedure. I was told I couldn't drive myself home after the root canal even though I have done so with invasive (rotator cuff & L5 laminectomy) surgeries in the past. No need to argue so I made arrangements to be brought by my son and then picked up by my wife afterward. So I arrive and check in. My son left and immediately I was approached about why he left. I explained he had to go to work and was only dropping me off. The staff quickly informed me that the dentist could not do the root canal without me having a family member present. I shared that my wife was coming later to get me. They checked with the dentist and he said that wasn't good enough; they needed someone present the whole time. My wife was planning on arriving about 10am which would have been sufficient time for the procedure and me to recover somewhat. They asked if she could come immediately, to which I said no. They continued to go back and forth with the dentist, Sandlin, who refused to change his mind about a family member being present. At no time was this EVER shared with me that I MUST have a family member present DURING my root canal. It is absolutely absurd! What could my family member do that trained "medical professionals" couldn't do if he screwed up? Would they wheel me into the waiting room and ask my wife to do cardiopulmonary resuscitation? So I asked that. What would you do if I experienced any kind of life-threatening event? The answer, "well, we would call for an ambulance." Duh! Ya think? My follow-up question was, "would you consult my wife about attempting CPR before calling an ambulance?" The answer, "no." Again, duh!!! So, what is the reason for requiring my wife or any family member to be present? No answer. Blank stares. Are you grasping this? So, I immediately demand a refund of my already paid-in-advance fee of over $2000. Their long answer was ridiculous so here is their ultimate short version...we'll request a refund processed through our corporate office and that should take no longer than 2 to 4 weeks. On top of that the girl said there will be a fee for canceling services today. SERIOUSLY??? You're going to charge me a fee for not informing me of this ridiculous requirement of having a CPR-trained family member present during whole procedure? And sure enough they did; they charged me $225 for the privilege of being treated like yesterday's trash. No root canal. No satisfaction. No apologies. Just a "kick in the teeth" by a dentist. I ended up Ubering home which was another $30 out of my pocket to add insult to injury. My recommendation is twofold. One, make sure you have full and total transparency from the doctor/dentist, and two, don't use Bluegrass Endodontics. They do not care about integrity in their word or how they treat people, and certainly are about the almighty dollar and let the patient be damned.

My 18 year old college student recently called me from her dorm literally crying in pain saying her jaw hurt. We got in with our dentist same day and were referred to Endodontic Associates as it appeared a nerve died in a tooth that had a cavity filled a few years back. They got us in within 25 minutes, diagnosed her, and to my great surprise offered to do the root canal the same day. My daughter came out of the procedure saying that it went smoothly and she had no pain or discomfort throughout. She reiterated how friendly, caring and nice Dr. Sparrow and his staff were. He explained everything and even drew a diagram to show my daughter exactly what to expect prior to getting started. She woke this morning to no pain and was back to her typical self. Thank you for getting my girl out of pain so quickly. Every single person I've encountered at this office was friendly, knowledgeable, diligent, courteous, and helpful. From reception, billing, assistants, nurses and doctors...amazing every step! We are so grateful:)
