From a medical and patient-care perspective, effective communication is an essential part of providing safe, timely, and compassionate care. Patients should be able to communicate their concerns with staff and receive clear, respectful, and consistent responses. Unfortunately, the current administrative process can make it difficult to obtain basic assistance, resolve concerns, or move necessary requests forward in a timely manner. This can create unnecessary delays and add significant stress during an already difficult medical experience. One practical improvement would be to introduce short, routine patient-satisfaction surveys. These could provide patients with a simple way to share feedback about communication, responsiveness, professionalism, scheduling, administrative support, and the overall quality of their experience. Management could then use this information to identify recurring problems, monitor improvements, and hold departments accountable for addressing legitimate concerns. Another important issue is the manner in which problems are communicated and resolved. When professional discussions become focused on blame, defensiveness, or dismissive responses rather than finding solutions, it can create confusion and prevent meaningful problem-solving. In a healthcare environment, this type of communication can have consequences beyond frustration--it may contribute to delays in care, misunderstandings, reduced patient confidence, and unnecessary emotional distress. Patients who are already dealing with illness, uncertainty, or discomfort need an environment where they feel heard, respected, and supported. When communication breaks down, a patient may feel ignored, frustrated, unsafe, or uncertain about whether their concerns are being taken seriously. This can damage trust between patients and healthcare providers and make an already challenging medical situation much more difficult. I believe the ENT department could greatly benefit from a stronger culture of professionalism, accountability, teamwork, and patient-centered communication. Staff should be encouraged to approach concerns constructively, communicate respectfully, and focus on practical solutions rather than assigning blame. Improving these areas would not only enhance the patient experience but could also support better coordination of care, reduce administrative delays, strengthen trust, and contribute to a safer and more effective healthcare environment.

I was patched over to another line without no warning that my call was going to be transferred. For a moment I thought my call dropped but then it started ringing. I let it rang for a good minute and no answer. I ended the call and called them back. This time some lady answered and I posed my question. I was informed their soonest available appointments would be in January 2026. I was about to thank her for the info but she hung up on me before I could get a word in. I knew not to see any medical profession in Oroville, exclude pediatricians, because they are unreliable, lack customer service, empathy and sympathy. I guess Chico will continue to be my go to.

With the history I've had with them, I called and checked and they moved my appointment to 2:00 without telling me. The only thing she could tell me that it was changed by the clinic. No notice, just changed. Here we go again. If you must go here check and double check thier work, the support staff here is terrible.

POSITIVES: He saw Doctor Costa ( 2nd time) and he was so caring and went above and beyond working in this somewhat depressing environment. 5 STARS TO THIS DENTIST! They can't keep good dentists for long because they overwork them. Its sad because there is a need in this area especially for the elderly or less fortunate. When they do get a good dentist they are gone within a year ( my friend said he has had about 5 different dentists in 3 years). Both Nadine and Doctor Costa worked well together to help calm my friend. I am thankful that they let me go in and sit in on services performed. I am so glad that I don't have to go here in this town. The hygienists are overworked..the dentists are overworked..and the skilled dentists leave ASAP. The front desk employees are miserable..no good morning..no expression. Either very unhappy or don't care. My friend and I congratulate Doctor Costa for his great attitude and service towards my friend and wish him well in Vacaville where he will definitely flourish! Too bad management cannot figure out how to take care of their staff!

I had a stroke as well as other medical issues and am not able to drive. Transportation never answers there phone and if you leave a message they never return my calls! I have had to call over and over and by the time I do reach them, the Ampla cab cannot pick me up. I have NEVER been rude or EVER called them a bad name! But I have asked them why they don't return my calls? So now I am blocked from receiving Transportation. Even the complaint department is no help at all! She's the one who said that I cannot receive Transportation. I asked her why and she said that I lve been rude to them. What? I asked her if she had any recordings to prove that I have not been. Of course they didn't. So why call the complaint department if they don't even believe the patient? Its just unbelievable! I don't know how I am going to get to my important medical visits. Paying for a cab is so expensive! You would think that there would be someone who is above the complaint department that knows what their doing. But I'm not giving up because this is abuse!
