Summer made the process of arranging his cremation very easy, even though it was a difficult time for me.

This very same day, only hours later, I met with Liana to go over my Dad's previously decided wishes. (Please do this for your loved ones)!!! Thankfully my Dad had much of his pre needs already figured out and paid for, but Liana was so kind and helpful to myself and my Mom when we were at our very worst. I left the office feeling confident that we did all the right things in a very unfortunate situation. I called and emailed Liana with a ton of questions and she always responded quickly and was so incredibly kind. I felt like she was part of my family after working with her. I would also like to give a shoutout to Patty for being so friendly and welcoming to myself and my family. We had Dad's service there this past week and I have to say it went even better than I had expected. The staff went above and beyond for my family. Ashley helped assist with my Dad's memorial table and honestly- it took my breath away. Everyone at the service commented on how beautiful it was and I was so thankful that it went so smoothly. I cannot thank the team here enough for the comfort and kindness they showed myself and my family when we were at our very lowest.

Sadly who wants to do a review for a memorial place , well we first used Fairhaven for our dad's…read morecremation back in 2014 Nov. they all helped my sister and myself through a very confusing and difficult time but we got through it with their help . Now 2026, June our mom passed away again no memorial plans made so here we are again having to go back and start from beginning to end to get our mom cremated with the help with the two lovely ladies ( please forgive me for forgetting their names ) my sister Debbie is better w names I am better w details . We had a different experience this time , electronic visual screen to pick what we wanted . Being we had been through this with our dad we knew exactly what we wanted and what we didn't want . We had already bought our mom's urn so that was taken care of . The only thing this time that was a bit disappointing to both of us was , they sent our mom's body to the main Fair Haven in Orange they called Santa Ana and when we were told this we were a bit taken back as we specifically paid and chose THIS location as this is where our dad was cremated . We were told they don't do enough cremations out in Mission Viejo and we would have had to specify we wanted her cremated here, wait what ?? How would we know this ? Anyhow I told my sister ? All this while we are already a mess and grieving, mom doesn't know and it's just her vessel ) I told them it's something YOU should disclose as most everyone thinks if you chose MV your loved one is getting cremated in MV and staying in MV not going to SA and possibly getting mixed up with someone else etc. Everything else went great the timing was fast and you could tell they care . Thank you and we will have our own cremations set up with you but hopefully at MV if possible.

El Toro Memorial Park, is a cemetery tucked back off of Trabuco Road. This is a somewhat small but…read morenot too small cemetery in Lake Forest. I've been here many times visiting my relatives who have passed away. The chapel is right as you enter the high gates. The cemetery, is very well kept, clean, beautiful and quiet. In the last several years they've remodeled and cleaned up the public restroom. I haven't been in the small chapel so I can't speak to that. I also can't speak to the cost of having family buried here since I married into the family, but knowing them, this is probably a financially cost effective place to bury a loved one, while still being in a beautiful location. Not bashing, they're just good about being conscious of cost without compromising on their money's worth. The cemetery is surrounded by a park at the back end, apartments one side, houses on another, and a Catholic Church. This place has nice hills of green grass. They don't have a lot of upright headstones and it likely changed to in-ground headstones only after a certain year, because you don't see anything but very old ones standing erect. There are a good amount of trees, however, I wish they actually had more, particularly the very back end where it is flat and sits below a park. That area sits under full sun and visiting our loved ones back there can get super hot without relief. Many people have picnics and spend the day with their loved ones. You'll always see a lot of flowers laid out by the many visitors. I like this cemetery because it's not too big. It feels more homey and comfortable, much better than a large cemetery such as Forrest Lawn. I think you would like this place for a loved one if you ever had to bury them here. It really is quite peaceful.
