The beautiful wood pieces they sell
Heather W.

I love this store! It's one of the reasons I drive so far to go to Ventura. Whenever I'm in Ventura, it's a must stop for me. I love all of their balsamics and vinegars. They have amazing flavors. They are great to cook with and so much healthier for you. And a little goes a long way. I really like how they let you taste test most things. There have been so many times where something sounded great and then I got home and I didn't care for it. So the fact that you can taste test, most things is such a positive in my book. Then I know that I'm going to love it otherwise I don't purchase it. It's fun when the employees are passionate about a flavor and want you to try things. I love hearing their ideas and how they use them to cook. I used to shop here when it was We Olive as well. I loved it then but now I like that it is Olive Ventura , and they have so much more products and it's well stocked. Before it was very minimal. The buyer always gets really beautiful Home goods. I really enjoy all the wood products they have for charcuterie boards, and the beautiful bowls for presenting food on. I love the fresh bread they are no receiving. You can get everything you need in one stop. I highly recommend checking this store out! It literally makes me so happy every time I go in!

Olive Ventura is a fun store filled with amazing flavors of oils and balsamic vinegars. They have olives and dips and so many wonderful things, with so many that you can sample. They have wonderful, unique small dishes and wood serving items for dipping and grazing and so much more. Omg, the owners They are the nicest, most passionate people. So fun to talk to and a wealth of knowledge with pairings of oils with different vinegars, and more. I wish I had taken a photo of the store, it is so inviting and full of awesome treats. You've got to stop by!

Olive Ventura is a very nice store in downtown Ventura on the Main Street. As you'd probably guess, they sell olive oil, local balsamic vinegar, sauces, jellies, honey, all sorts of nice products, great for your kitchen or gifting. Besides that they have a bit of kitchen wear and home decor. You can sample here olive oil which is great to figure out the best one for you. They also offer samples, we enjoyed some nice popcorn with spices they sell in the store. The place is very crowded, a tad too bustling for me. I wish it'd be calmer to enjoy the samples and spend more time browsing before checking out. Nice customer service, the lady we dealt with had nice tips and advice about various products they sell, very useful. Nice store for the area, you need one in this part of SoCal to enjoy the variety of local products!

Compared…read moreto another olive oil tasting we did in Paso Robles, this one felt a bit more fast-casual and relaxed--which honestly wasn't a bad thing at all. It gives you the freedom to taste everything at your own pace. You order the tasting first, then they give you a tray with delicious sourdough bread from a local bakery. The staff explained that the balsamic vinegars are imported, while all of their olive oils are produced in-house, except for the truffle oil since the local soil isn't suitable for growing truffles. After that, you head over to the tasting section where you can grab samplers of the olive oils and balsamic vinegars before finding a seat outside under the olive trees. The space itself is beautiful and peaceful. There were around 10 olive oils and 10 balsamic vinegars to try. My favorites were the TH (Tuscan Herbs) olive oil and the traditional balsamic. The flavored balsamics were interesting and fun to taste, though I still personally preferred the classic options. Overall, such a fun and worthwhile stop if you're in the Ojai area. Paid $20 for two people. Also, bonus points because they happily give extra sourdough bread if you need more :)

We wanted a fun activity and saw an Instagram video of the experience. Overall, the tasting was super fun! Got to mix/match diff oils and vinegars and play around with the options. Ended up buying two of our favorites. One thing to note - They used to have cute wood boards with clear markings of the different types of offerings so that you could keep track more easily and it sounds like from the attendant they are bringing those back again (by popular demand). It certainly would be more aesthetically pleasing than a black plastic cafeteria tray. The bread served on our particular day was also a bit too hard so the inside pieces would crumble a lot. We were able to ask for another piece so that we could use the sturdier outside areas and they were gracious with that. However, for $20 really can't complain! With a few minor updates to the board/bread, they could prob sell this experience for far more $ and get more visitors! :)

I knew Ojai was famous for its olive oils, but Carolina especially embodies mastery and craftsmanship as reflected in her offerings of olive oil and balsamic vinegar. As I was the only patron in her shop at the time, I was privileged with her showing me various unique combinations of balsamic and olive oil. She certainly lives up to the Italian stereotype of having good taste. She suggested against me buying food for my mother for Mother's Day, but she understood when I insisted that my mom is a foodie (where I get it from). Carolina herself is classy and refined, yet still so open and welcoming, all of which also is reflected in her store. It is thus no surprise that her shop has been around for over a decade. I hope her shop is there when I am 100! If there was ever a place to stop in Ojai, I would recommend this place. A truly unique experience, unparalleled. I am bringing my mom and all my other loved ones here.

This visit, they weren't there in their usual section so I assume they were pretty much sold out fast. Loads of fresh organic vendors with all their goods.
