As a first time, full-time working mom, leaving my child in someone else's care is one of the hardest thing I have to do. But I feel extremely comfortable with Karina and her staff because I know that they are loving and caring professionals who cherish my child as much as I do. They keep me updated on highlights of his day, sharing the funny moments and achievements. I'm so grateful! read more

We went for a tour today at their pleasant pl location. For the money they are asking for it's horrific. The place is small, cluttered, toys are dirty, staff has no early childhood education. All they do is watch your kid play. For the money I expect more. I have no idea why other parents like this place( read more

Koala is wonderful. The teachers are all sweet and very caring. Our daughter never wants to leave, she loves it there. The space is very cute, which provides lots of toys and activities. There's a curriculum for little ones that accommodates their age groups. The teachers do their best to work with the parents (us!) to accommodate for our requests. They also have excellent hours of operation. Excellent daycare! read more

My daughter has been at KP2 for just over a year now. She is so happy there, that it is always a struggle to get her to leave in the evenings when I come to pick her up! Karina and the staff are very caring and professional. They have a variety of developmental activities that they expose the children to from yoga and music class to book sharing and art projects. The location is clean, bright, and safe. We are so pleased with KP that we have even referred several friends and acquaintances! read more

Great daycare. Our son has a severe food allergy and it's very scary to leave him anywhere but Koala Park has gone above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and keep in touch with any questions or concerns. I highly recommend this daycare. read more

Established in 2013.

We started this business due to a lack of options in our community for safe, licensed and nurturing environment for our children to grow in, in 2013. Since then we have opened our second location and continue to grow. Parents love and trust us.

Meet the Business Owner: Karina W.

The founder and director of the registered and NY licensed Family Daycare, Karina, was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. When she was 8, her family relocated overseas to New York, US. After eight years in the US, they relocated again to Argentina, where Karina graduated from high school. She then studied Business Administration, with a concentration in Marketing and a minor in Psychology, in New York, where she also started her marketing and brand management career as an International brand manager at a Fortune 500 Company and a worldwide renowned financial services provider. In 2010, after growing out of their apartment in Long Beach, Long Island, Karina, her husband, Michael (an Australian fervent surfer), and their daughter Isabella (Issy) relocated to the beautiful village of Tuckahoe, in Westchester, after purchasing their first home. As a working mother, Karina found it very difficult to find safe, loving, affordable and reliable childcare. So she launched her own business!

I registered at my second visit though I later decided to let my son stay a little while longer at his current daycare till I work out other factors like commute and work schedule. This would normally be a problem since I already made the payment to secure him space but the management was very professional and offered me a refund without any troubles. My husband and I are so grateful to have been able to send our son to Koala Park Daycare. We began sending him at 4 months and he will be turning two in a little over a month. He receives so much care and attention from all of the teachers, it really feels like a second home to us. At drop off in the morning, all of the staff and children greet us with warm hello's and really make us feel comfortable coming into such a safe environment. By the end of the day our son does not want to leave. We really enjoy seeing our son interact during special programs such as the music class and child yoga. Its cute to see all of the art projects he works on during the day with teachers and his friends. We would absolutely recommend Koala Park Day Care. My son has been at Koala Park daycare II (KP2) for over a year now. He is so happy there and I am really impressed with what he has learned. Our home language is Chinese and he has learned so much in the past one year, not only English language but also daily hands-on activities, ready-to-do activities especially designed to help kids of different ages learn and develop. I'm very happy with the care the staff has given my daughter. It's like a family and they treat her as one of their own. I had been using a larger center but it was less personal and by separating the kids by ages my daughter wasn't getting the interaction with older kids which I believe has made her progress in her development.
