We wanted to check out this spot for smashburgers as we heard good things. Was it a good burger? Yes, tasty indeed. Was it the best around? No, but its definitely is worth trying. The poutine was unique in that the cheese curds were fried, which I hadn't seen before. I was disappointed at first, but ended up enjoying the dish. The bar area was very loud and busy when we were there, but the bartender was on it and was very attentive. The atmosphere wasn't necessarily warm and inviting, but it's more bar than restaurant in my opinion. There are beers, mixed drinks and definitely not a spot for wine. My seasonal Moscow mule was way too sweet. Overall, a decent spot. Lots of bar food, lively environment and friendly service. I wish I could give out 3 and a half stars (as it's not quite 4, but better than the average 3). read more

I happened upon this neat spot a little more than a month after moving to the area, and have been there several times since--once on a Saturday night when there was live music. The atmosphere and wait staff are wonderful and the offerings and prices are great. My favorites: the raspberry ice tea, the burgers, the fries, and the cheesecake with raspberry sauce. My wife and I popped into the Pourhouse for a late lunch on a Saturday afternoon in October. Greensburg was a little dead, but the Pourhouse had several folks at the bar for the Steelers game, and a few tables in the dining room were occupied. It's more of a bar than a restaurant, so we grabbed a couple of stools. I had a draft beer, and we each had a sandwich. The draft beer selection was limited to maybe a dozen choices, but they offered a good variety. For lunch a had the Hot Honey Spicy Chicken sandwich with real fresh cut fries. Everything was really good. My wife went with a burger, and she was happy with her meal too. I'm going with four stars because the service was a bit slow, and the bathrooms could use a good cleaning, but otherwise we enjoyed the experience. read more

We didn't actually get to eat there. We tried to order three different beers on the menu and one app and they were out of all of them. The beer menu is a piece paper handed out with the menu--how hard can it be to make up and print out something that is current?! And servers should always tell customers if they're out of something on the menu before the customer starts to look at it. I was surprised that there was only one other table occupied at lunchtime, now I have a clue as to why. read more

I was in here a handful of years ago and really enjoyed it so I was excited when our travels led us to Greensburg tonight to revisit OP. Unfortunately, the experience this time around was not what I recall. Smaller beer selection, i settle on a hazy IPA... it's sold out. Started with French onion soup that was very tasty but lukewarm at best and I want to say they melt the cheese on top with a torch but unfortunately it wasn't melted i had to cut it with a knife and I couldn't help but notice the butane taste from the torch. I opted for the "West of Philly" cheesesteak for my meal, I wanted to love it but unfortunately it was lacking in both size (see photo of more bread than anything) as well as flavor. My wife got a buffalo chicken sandwich with a sweet heat sauce, the sauce was interesting but again nothing noteworthy. We came in at 8pm and were surprised to be told the kitchen was closing soon, so we may have just caught them at a bad time. read more

Have always enjoyed going to the Pourhouse however haven't been there in awhile. Last night I ordered a fish sandwich to go. Had to be the worst fish sandwich I have eaten ever. The breading was terrible ( not cooked other than the outside coating) There couldn't have been 4 oz of fish after I scrarapped the breading off and the French fries were a greasy mess. You walked in the restaurant and I feel like they murdered all of their ex employees here. When they bring the food to your table or ask a question, they scream in your ear. The bathroom has poison signs in it. This place doesn't feel very cozy. I feel very uneasy here. The waitress was nice though. read more

Pretty much all the food I've tried there is great, especially the fish sandwich and the Cobb salad. The beer list is decent, as well. There is usually a steady stream of patrons since it's near the courthouse and the Palace Theater. It can get loud after happy hour, but they also show sports if you're looking for a place to watch the game. Overall, a great spot. (The only thing I've ever found disappointing there was the zucchini app. They're a handful of zucchini fries instead of planks. But that's the only thing I've not really liked.) read more

Salmon was cooked well but the potato side and canned green beans with pieces of ham was something you could get in a sub standard hospital kitchen. This restaurant is worth trying to find . Had lunch last Monday in Greensburg and had difficulty finding a restaurant that would satisfy my palette. Having no sense of direction and driving in circles yes! I finally found Oliver's Poorhouse. Don't just a book by its cover . I wasn't expecting much before opening the door but when I did. Wow. Smooth music, great lighting, and tastefully chic décor. Great selections of craft beers with smiling bartenders. (Can't remember her name but the nicest bartender was a transplant from Poconos). Thank you. The Buffalo chicken dip appetizer was so good. Great flavor and the biggest pieces of chicken I have ever had in buffalo chicken dip. When your asked the temperature of your meat for a salad you know the salad is going to be good. I had the best steak salad I ever had and the salad dressing is homemade. Visited this establishment while in the area for a concert at the Palace Theatre and it was definitely worth stopping in for their food. Their menu is well rounded for a bar/restaurant. I had the Reuben and it was one of the best I've eaten. They also have a fairly extensive drink menu with seasonal beers and cocktails. The service and ambience were well suited for the type of establishment. It was a very busy night and food arrived very timely and the wait staff were very on point. I would definitely recommend a visit if you're in the area. read more

New ownership - not a good change at all. Used to love going here but they increased prices dramatically. Nickel and dime everything. Ranch for chips costs 1.00 - very small amount. $4.50 for a draft miller light- 8 oz. Completely different restaurant than when the old owners ran it. I don't recommend this at all. read more

My go to stop in Greensburg. They have daily specials for drinks and food. Wing night is my favorite. It's 60 cent wings on Thursday nights. They make the buffalo sauce served here and it is to die for. The also have a chalkboard drink menu that changes seasonally. Tonight I went with friends and we started with the spinach dip and drinks. I ordered the Island Coconut from the chalkboard menu. It's pretty and not too sweet. If you like pineapple juice this drink is for you. The spinach dip was the perfect started. It was shared between three people with some left over. For sinner I ordered the Buffalo chicken sandwich. Order it with the bun, not the wrap, it has more sauce that way. I always order the blackened chicken - in salads, on sandwiches - it's he best choice. Like I mentioned the buffalo sauce is to die for! I love buffalo sauce and this one tops all. Tonight I had the chips for my side, but I think I prefer the fries. The servers make great recommendations and with the chalkboard menus things are always changing. My wife and I stopped at Oliver's prior to a show at the Palace. It is a very short walk away. Regardless, there is plenty of parking around. Restaurant was full but a few seats at the bar quickly opened and we opted to sit there rather than wait for a table. There are about six-eight beers on tap. Bartender quickly came over and provided us menus and took our drink orders. Food wise we had the homemade chippers for an appetizer. My wife had French onion soup as well. She had a cornbeef turkey club which was huge. I ordered off the dinner menu and had the strip steak with potatoes. Steak was cooked perfectly, very tender, and not an ounce of fat. Potatoes were small boiled potatoes but quite tasty. Overall, I'd definitely come here again. I'd love to explore the menu. All the sandwiches looked huge and the burgers looked amazing. This was just an okay dining experience for me. We sat a few tables up from the entrance as it was all that was left and nearly froze through our meal. My friends enjoyed their Reuben and Rachel sandwiches. My husband raved over an apple cider he tried, but felt sick after eating the buffalo chicken dip, although he wasn't sure if it was the cause. The Alfredo sauce on my shrimp pasta was not good, at all, and tasted like it came out of a jar. Portion sizes seemed fair, even if it was a little pricey. Service was excellent though, all in all. My second time at O&P trains station location. Went with my wife, brother, and sister-in law (their first time). Saturday evening, no reservation- seated in 10 minutes! Staff all were attentive, kind, and timely. Drinks- I had the gin/elderflower mixed drink (8/10) and my brother had the bourbon berry smash (7/10). Both drinks were very good and would order again. Fair price as well. My wife spilled her tea on the floor, and the bartender was over their immediately, got her a refill and cleaned the floor. His reaction time was super human! Food- long story short- delicious and generous portions. Filet carbonara was teeming with flavor, but well balanced. The spicy sausage with vodka sauce was an easy comfort food- but be prepared for spicy! The wedding soup was light on mini pasta balls (whatever you call em) Garlic bread was light, crisp, and addictive. Very happy with everything and will be back! read more
