It's a cocktail bar with a "secret" entrance from the boutique clothing store in the store front and it gives you a fun, "speakeasy" vibe. It also has a regular entrance from the side street as well. The cocktails were delicious and have been switched out since it opened to now fit the spooky/fall season. They seem to have a smaller beer/wine offering than a larger establishment would have but this IS a cocktail bar so you definitely want to try one (or two) of those. The food is delicious just know it's more of a hors d'oeuvre, snacking type menu, not a full dinner menu. Flatbreads, crostinis, dips with your choice of bread/chips and desserts are all available and the portions leave you feeling satisfied. Wednesday nights they have live musicians in-house and they also do special events like Mixology Mondays so check their socials if you're interested in their upcoming events. Best of all, they had the acclaimed science fiction and fantasy author Mary Robinette Kowal as their special guest. (But she lives in North Carolina, so don't expect her as a regular in the Pittsburgh location.) Space Bar is obviously LGBT+ friendly, but it's an everyone bar. OK, maybe not everyone: it will be more fun if you're interested in science fiction and fantasy, and don't upset the vibe. I'll be sure to visit the in-person location next time I'm in Pittsburgh.

A fun concept backed by genuinely great drinks and hospitality.
