I LOVE THIS PLACE! I'm middle eastern, so what can I say? Their kibbie are delicious. I usually order a side of them a la carte Perfect texture and flavor. I still haven't been to the restaurant, but I frequently order from here off of door dash. I've tried the lentil soup, which is yummy, but mild in flavor. Wow what a delicious meal! My friend and I passed by this place on our way to CVS one day (located off Alton at the Alton Square Plaza) and decided to try it out on our next outing. It must have really grabbed my friend's attention because a day later we found ourselves looking at the menu and deciding what to order for pick up. I called and was greeted by a friendly Female Voice; I placed my order which consisted of the Vegan Plate , a Filet mignon Wrap and a chicken shawarma plate. The order was ready within 15 mins. We arrived at the location, told the cashier that we were there for pick up and she kindly went to look and we payed. We sat down for a second and the vibe inside is pretty nice, clean and with plenty of tables The food was great and the meat was so perfect. I was searching thru Yelp for takeout dinner options and this place popped up. Decided to try it and got the beef and lamb kafta plate. It was really good! The kafta was flavorful and the basmati rice was cooked perfectly. The side salad was citrusy which gave a nice balance to the whole plate. The portion was good and I was comfortably full at the end. He doesn't usually recommend new places, but he was quite impressed with this place and insisted I try it out. I knew it had to be good when he wanted to go back twice in the same week. That never happens! On his suggestion, I got the Beirut Plate. It was enormous, but I got a second meal out of it when I packed leftovers. It came with a generous helping of both chicken and steak shawarma, basmati rice, a nice dollop of hummus, a huge portion of tabouleh (which I loved), pita bread, and a garnish of their delicious pickles! I loved everything about this plate. The meats were tender and flavorful. The tabouleh was perfectly seasoned and not overly tart. The hummus was creamy and smooth. The garlic sauce on top of the chicken was to-die-for! So, so, soooo good. My hubs got a chicken shawarma plate with a side of babaganouj. The baba was so good that I traded my hummus for it - and I LOVE hummus. The lentil soup was utterly delicious. It tasted like they used a bit of their garlic sauce in it... which I may be developing an addiction to lol. For dessert, although we were full, we tried the Baklawa ice cream. Dude. Think of those amazing baklava bars just mashed into your favorite vanilla ice cream. We finished it, even though we already couldn't breathe from being so full. To top it of all, the service was fantastic. The gentleman inputting our order was incredibly helpful and full of suggestions. You've got to check this place out. My wife and I had our favorite Lebanese place close back around 2005. It was so good. Since then have been searching for and comparing other places looking for a replacement. Until we found Olive Branch Express and met Omar and his wife, we've been disappointed with the available Lebanese options in OC. So far we've only had the Tawook and shawarma pita wraps with a side of the kibbies. Everything has been delicious!! Fresh ingredients, clean environment and super friendly service. New place by my house I wanted to explore. I read mulitple reviews before just to scope out what the options were and I got that it was either build your own plate or have pre-set plates. I came in thinking that I could build my own plate but was soon disappointed when they told me that was no longer an option and that I can only choose from the pre-set plates on the menu! I decided on the beirut plate but that plate came out to $14 which is also another surprise bc previous reviews stated that this plate was $10, so there has definitely been a price increase in the past month! The beirut plate itself was good and filled with fresh ingredients. Overall an okay experience, food is good but not for the price tag also service was extremely slow given that the pre-made ingredients are right in front of them. If theres going to be pre-set plates I think itll be nice for customers to at least have the option of choosing sides or even sauces, felt hesistant to even ask for an additional sauce bc everything is already pre-set. read more

Eat here at your own risk! My husband picked up take out from this place. We ordered babaganoush and a couple of the chicken plates. I fed my baby some babaganoush before tasting it. I realized after he'd already had some that it was spoiled. It was sour and fermented. Disgusting. I did eat the chicken and had a stomach ache all night and in the morning as well. I should have known better. My husband called to tell them about the spoiled food and they were whatever about it. He asked for the manager to refund the cost of the babaganoush. He's called THREE times and the manager is never there. Yet we know they have received the info. Finding good, affordable Mediterranean food is getting increasingly more difficult these days, especially around south OC. I had a previous experience with Olives Branch Express through Doordash and recall the food was excellent. So when a buddy of mine were thinking of getting some eats in the middle of a night of hard drinking, Olives Branch immediately came to mind. We used Doordash's new group order system. I ordered two dishes ( one for myself, one for my wife ) and my buddy ordered a plate for himself and a side of pita + spicy hummus. The food came out SPECTACULAR. But what really struck me was: the restaurant employees actually took the time to write my name on the items I ordered, and my buddy's name on his items. This shows the extra level of care and personalized service that's so often missing from the food service industry - especially when it comes to take-out food. Some of my favorites: FALAFELS. I don't know what it is about the ones here, but they make me so so happy. They are especially delicious when smeared with..... SPICY HUMMUS. This stuff is AWESOME. I could eat it by the spoonful but I don't because that's really weird. But I could. BEEF AND LAMB KAFTA - Fragrant, juicy and you get two whopping great skewers of the stuff on a plate. I thought this plate was best with generous helpings of Spicy Labne. Today I went to Olives Branch express restaurant to have dinner at 7pm. I placed an order for chicken shawarma wrap, fries and a drink at 7:03pm with the cashier Ramon. After the order was taken suddenly the cashier and the cook both went in the backside of the kitchen leaving myself and another customer who was waiting to pick up his order waiting. After 27 mins later I went to the front counter to look for the employee but to my amazement nobody showed up at the front. Finally around 7:30pm Ramon showed up and I asked for my food and I asked him why is it taking for so long to prepare chicken shawarma wrap. His response was confusing and said we are working on it. I saw my chicken wrap with 3 small pieces crumbs of chicken spread on the back counter waiting for chef. When finally Ramon handed me the wrap, it was cold, absolutely flat as if it's missing contents. I went up to the counter and complained about the horrible service I received and I showed Ramon the wrap complaining about missing chicken from the wrap. His response was completely unprofessional and unacceptable. He said that is our standards and that's all we put in a wrap. It literally had 3 small pieces pf chicken in the entire wrap with a few fries. At this point I demanded Ramon to refund my money due to his refusal to accept my complaint. Ramon asked for my name and phone number and informed me that the owner will call you. I refused to give my contact information. Chef looked at the wrap and agreed to remake the wrap after all this argument. Finally wrap was handed over to me at 7:40pm. I again asked about my fries which were not ready yet. Finally fries came to my table when 75% of the wrap was already eaten. Owners are probably knowingly allowing this to happen or they don't know how to run this restaurant. After what I went through today, I will never ever eat at this place again due to poor service and lack of customer service skills of employees. read more
