    My bowl bowl!! delicious
    Michael Min C.

I had the bowl bowl yesterday for lunch with double chicken. It was delicious. The chicken was juicy and flavorful. High quality ingredients and i felt good after eating such a delicious and healthy bowl.

Amazing chicken and flavor! I've seen this place pop up quite a few times online but never realized the location. I got to finally try it for the first time and I will definitely be back! I ordered The Bowl Bowl which had sweet potatoes, avocado and roasted jalapenos. The chicken was seasoned and cooked so fresh. You can even see them grilling the chicken behind the counter. I got the chili garlic sauce on the side which was essentially their garlic sauce and a chili sauce combined in the same dish. Great flavor, but I would ordered just the garlic sauce next time because this was amazing! There is some searing inside plenty outside as well. The cold beer vault has a very wide selection of beers. I also found it interesting they make their own in house bone broth for purchase!

Stopped by to grab the chimichurri wrap. Unfortunately, it was a bit disappointed this time it was on the dry side. Luckily, I asked for a side of yogurt sauce, which helped add more flavor. I went during lunch, so it was busy and there was as short wait for the food. The wrap was cut in half, and it was only able to eat one half, which. made it nice to have he rest for dinner later. Hopefully it'll be more moist the next time I come back.

Went here after a 10.5 mile walk because we wanted something healthy and protein packed! We were pleasantly surprised because the food was delish, made fresh, and all the ingredients are natural, and a total plus that they are seed oil free! Inside, it is clean, stylish, and overall a great place to come. There are also many outdoor tables which is where we sat because it was such a nice day. The employees were nice, and overall we LOVED this place. We will definitely be back, if you are in newps and want a new, healthy and delicious place to call your go-to spot; the chicken shop is it! 10/10!

Certified GAS. Saw this place and its rotisserie method onna tiktok and was immediately hooked. Walked into a small urban-looking brick n mortar restaurant that smelled like straight garlic (already a good sign) My gf and I got the OG and Chimichurri wrap. The wrap itself was so crispy and held the ingredients together so well I could devour fat bites without makin a mess. And devour that shit I did, for it was some of the most succulent, juicy, chicken and toppings I've had in the area. And you know we were hittin it with that extra sauce. Chili garlic and Yogurt Harissa are must tries. Even taking the leftovers home and airfrying it locked in the flavors. Idk where else you can find it but they also had these fire, low calories, all natural United Sodas. Bonus points Service was polite and over-the-counter. A little long for my observations but hey man greatness takes a lil patience. Hope to be back soon. That chicken is more addicting than Los Polos Hermanos

I love chicken, so of course I had to come here. Got their chicken wrap with the yogurt harissa sauce on the side and it was delicous, a little dry but the sauce made up for it. The garlic flavor is very prominent which I liked! If i'm in the area, would love to get one of their bowls next time!

This is my first time at the Chicken Shop. It is located in a strip mall at the corner of Irvine Ave and Westcliff in Newport Beach next to the Ralph's supermarket. There is plenty of parking and the access is easy. The Chicken shop is a casual Lebanese/Australian restaurant that specializes in Mediterranean style rotisserie chicken. The menu is short but on point. It includes Chicken à la carte, (Whole, half etc...) wraps, bowls and a variety of sides. The chicken is roasted over charcoal and is antibiotic free and the kitchen is 100% seed oil free. All their bowls and wraps can be made vegan by getting mushrooms instead of chicken. I got the Bowl Bowl with mushrooms. All the ingredients were really fresh and everything was delicious. It comes with a raspberry vinaigrette which i tried but i feel it was unnecessary as the dish was well seasoned and tasty as is. And my buddy Mike who is a regular there and who treated me to lunch, got the newport bowl with chicken. They have a refrigerator with grab and go beverages as well as a small section with various snacks. There is limited seating inside the restaurant as most of the seating is in an outdoor communal type setting shared with other restaurants. The service is excellent and prices are average. I highly recommend trying the Chicken Shop.

Solid chicken wrap, got the OG wrap. I asked them to go easy on the garlic sauce, which was a good idea. Service was and good ambience nothing too fancy, as expected. Will come back to try just the chicken next time.

This healthy chicken shop is AMAZING. I came on a Monday evening and it was quite packed. They warned me that it would take approximately 30 minutes to get my to-go meal but it came out in closer to 20 minutes (so I'd recommend calling and placing an order to go if you're in a rush). I ordered a char'd bowl and was highly impressed! You can just tell that all the ingredients are SUPER fresh. It's open kitchen and you can watch them grilling/rotating the chicken. The chicken itself was much juicier than other chicken salad/bowl places because of how fresh it is. The dressing was also delicious and not too heavy. I felt like I was hitting all my nutrition groups with the veggies, protein, and chickpeas. Highly recommend!

$23 for a healthy chicken salad with seasoned fries I was able to make this into THREE meals by eating part of it, coming home, and adding more veggies! This salad comes with half an avocado, cooked beets, large pieces of chicken, pickled onions, garbanzo? Beans, sliced cherry tomatoes, corn, and a side of thin crunchy pita chips. There wasn't anything boring in it and I felt very healthy, yet satiated eating it. The pomegranate vinaigrette they use is tangy, but not overly sweet. Chicken pieces wasn't super moist, but it was moist. The shop is a little far from me to get to, but to know I can have 3 meals from one dish makes it worth it. Place smells incredible when you enter, and I like how they sell seasoned salts and kitchen stuff for the cook in your life. I placed my order 20m before closing and they still were able to make it. Fries weren't crispy after being in the Togo box, but they get crispy in the air fryer. Fries come with a sauce! I got harissa yogurt. Not too spicy.

Do you use seed oil to marinate or cook your meat?

We are a 100% seed oil free kitchen.

Is your chicken hand slaughtered halal?

    Nah

Do you serve beer on tap or in bottle?

We have 40-50 craft beers in our fridge. 🙂

    Is the menu halal?

Our chicken is not currently certified halal.

Is it possible to get a bone free wrap? I see it says may contain bones on the wrap.

The “Bones may remain” on the menu is precautionary. All our chicken is cooked whole over charcoal and pulled to order so we have that there to allow for human error. It close to never happens.

Having…read moreeaten at hundreds of Lebanese restaurants across multiple states--and traveling back to Beirut once a year--I have a very high bar for authenticity. My wife is also very familiar with the cuisine and cooks many of these traditional dishes herself. Last night, we tried BEI in Costa Mesa, and we are both absolutely thrilled to have found it. The hospitality here is amazing. Tommy gave us a warm greeting right as we walked in, and it was a pleasure chatting with him all evening. Our waiter, George, was equally amazing. He isn't Lebanese himself, but he jokingly told us that he is becoming Lebanese more and more every day just from eating the food here! He knew the menu inside and out, guiding us through the options and sharing his personal favorite plates with real passion. As for the food, my wife and I completely agreed that the chicken shawarma was easily the best I have ever had anywhere in the United States. It fully equals what you would eat at a high-quality restaurant in Lebanon. The toum (garlic spread), which is an absolute must for the chicken, was unbelievable. The hummus, baba ganoush, batata harra (spicy potatoes), and the fattoush salad were all absolutely amazing and perfectly seasoned. We finished the evening with an incredible knefeh for dessert. Even the hookah was great--smooth, well-prepared, and the perfect addition to the evening. They have a DJ on Fridays and a belly dancer on Saturdays, giving the space an awesome weekend energy. If you want genuine Lebanese cuisine paired with true Middle Eastern hospitality, BEI is a must-visit. We will certainly be back every time I am in town!

Lebanese style falafels are the best and this place nails it. I commented to my wife how beautiful the chicken had come out, the colors, little black charred corners and edges from the fire, golden reflection on the glaze. It is not cheap but worth every penny. Our server was great and we can't wait to go back. The place is so unassuming from the outside and beautiful on the inside.

Before you visit, keep these things in mind: 1. This is a ghost kitchen, not a full-service restaurant. It's best for takeout and delivery. There are only a few chairs outside--just four in total. 2. Ordering is entirely self-service via a digital kiosk, with no staff on hand to assist you. 3. There are no bathrooms available anywhere on-site. Regarding the food, it was just okay-- a bit underwhelming, especially given that Lebanese cuisine is typically so flavorful. The chicken was dry, the hummus lacked depth, and the rice was bland. That said, the fattoush salad, one of my favorites, was very good, with a delicious dressing. Overall, I can't say I'd return. The prices were quite high for the portions, and the quality didn't meet my expectations. If you're looking for a quick Lebanese meal, this place is a decent option, but don't expect much more than that.
