I then douse it with the chili garlic sauce, which I think is a must have; however, there is still garlic inside the wrap, so you may smell like garlic for the rest of the day. The Chicken Shop is a nice restaurant close to the Back Bay Loop, perfect after a run or an easy hike. We came here on a Sunday at around 1PM, and it was not surprisingly crowded. There are plenty of seats outside with some shade, but only a handful of tables inside. It's in a plaza with various other shops, so parking is very accessible. Food didn't take too long, I think we got our food after 10 minutes or so of waiting. Honestly the presentation is solid. I got The Bowl Bowl, and my friends ordered the chicken wrap, Newport Bowl, and we shared Za'atar and sweet potato fries. The bowls came with a citrus sauce, but we had to order extra garlic and chili sauce on the side for the wrap and fries. The fries with sauce were honestly sooo good. The sweet potato fries had this amazing soft texture and it melted in your mouth, the sweetness paired nicely with the sharp garlic sauce. The Za'atar fries were well seasoned and had a nice crisp. They give you a good amount for the price! I personally enjoyed The Bowl Bowl, the quinoa mixed with fresh corn, big chunks of sweet potato (I think they would have been better cut smaller), avocado, their grilled chicken, and chips. I mixed it with the sauce and additional toum and thought it was a perfect post-workout bowl. Hefty, nutritious, and good for the cost ($15). I tried a bit of the Newport Bowl and it was basically a regular salad bowl, nothing special and in my opinion - not worth the price. You're better off trying a more varied bowl or wrap. The chicken wrap was fine, there were some pickled veggies that added a good crunch. The main reason why I'm hesitant to come here again (besides the fries) is that the chicken was quite dry in all of these dishes, and it didn't really have a prominent char or flavor/smell that would indicate it's been charcoal grilled. Pretty solid wrap with plenty of chicken. The chicken was flavorful with fresh pickles and crisp fries. Could use a little more more garlic but it was a solid wrap. The Za'atar fries were really good too and is a must order. The portion sizes are enough for one person and they make the food relatively quick. Amazing chicken and flavor! I've seen this place pop up quite a few times online but never realized the location. I got to finally try it for the first time and I will definitely be back! Certified GAS. Saw this place and its rotisserie method onna tiktok and was immediately hooked. Walked into a small urban-looking brick n mortar restaurant that smelled like straight garlic (already a good sign) My gf and I got the OG and Chimichurri wrap. The wrap itself was so crispy and held the ingredients together so well I could devour fat bites without makin a mess. And devour that shit I did, for it was some of the most succulent, juicy, chicken and toppings I've had in the area. And you know we were hittin it with that extra sauce. This is my first time at the Chicken Shop. It is located in a strip mall at the corner of Irvine Ave and Westcliff in Newport Beach next to the Ralph's supermarket. There is plenty of parking and the access is easy. The Chicken shop is a casual Lebanese/Australian restaurant that specializes in Mediterranean style rotisserie chicken. The menu is short but on point. It includes Chicken à la carte, (Whole, half etc...) wraps, bowls and a variety of sides. The chicken is roasted over charcoal and is antibiotic free and the kitchen is 100% seed oil free. All their bowls and wraps can be made vegan by getting mushrooms instead of chicken. I got the Bowl Bowl with mushrooms. All the ingredients were really fresh and everything was delicious. It comes with a raspberry vinaigrette which i tried but i feel it was unnecessary as the dish was well seasoned and tasty as is. And my buddy Mike who is a regular there and who treated me to lunch, got the newport bowl with chicken. They have a refrigerator with grab and go beverages as well as a small section with various snacks. There is limited seating inside the restaurant as most of the seating is in an outdoor communal type setting shared with other restaurants. The service is excellent and prices are average. You go inside and you can smell the spit that the chicken is roasting on. We got the OG wraps with the zaatara fries. Be prepared. The order of fries alone could be their ow meal. But the person ringing me up may have been the owner or manager. He was very knowledgeable and passionate and he told me to eat the fries before putting the top on them because they are best fresh and crispy. He was right. $23 for a healthy chicken salad with seasoned fries I was able to make this into THREE meals by eating part of it, coming home, and adding more veggies! This salad comes with half an avocado, cooked beets, large pieces of chicken, pickled onions, garbanzo? Beans, sliced cherry tomatoes, corn, and a side of thin crunchy pita chips. There wasn't anything boring in it and I felt very healthy, yet satiated eating it. The pomegranate vinaigrette they use is tangy, but not overly sweet. Chicken pieces wasn't super moist, but it was moist. The shop is a little far from me to get to, but to know I can have 3 meals from one dish makes it worth it. They warned me that it would take approximately 30 minutes to get my to-go meal but it came out in closer to 20 minutes (so I'd recommend calling and placing an order to go if you're in a rush). Absolutely stellar place, I'm just sad there's not one anywhere else or closer to where I live - then I'd be there a few times a week! First, I have to say the cost is totally worth it for the quality and the taste of what you're getting. You can go to some cheapy chicken shop or a place like Zankou's (which don't get me wrong, is okay) or you can go here and experience a foodgasm. One sniff of the air wafting from their grills to your nose, and you'll know what you're in for. They grill their chicken over charcoals and have amazing sauces to go with. I'd personally recommend the wrap. It's nice and compact, handheld if sometimes you're running around trying to eat something on the go. But stop and smell the roses - sit down and enjoy your wrap on a beautiful warm day with breeze, then after, you can visit Pandor next door. The chicken is so flavourful, so juicy, the secret is definitely in their marinades and spices. Say goodbye to American style chicken that can often be boring. My goodness I'm a fan of the toum (garlic spread) I'll eat enough of it to ward off any vampires that come my way, it comes on the wrap, but you don't have to get it on it. Then, I pair with the yogurt harissa. YUM. They also have amazing, healthy bowls if you're not in the mood for a wrap. You'll be kind of smelly when you're in there. Also, I love how the business is super proud of their products. They will inform you of what goes into it, and they aren't using seed oils.
