Dizzy Bird is located inside the Mission Viejo Mall food court. It is one of the first places you'll see in this food hall. We came on a Monday afternoon. The service could've been a little more friendly. The young guy working at the register didn't say much and didn't seem to really promote the menu, even after I told him it was my first time there. I was really excited to try the food here with my friend. I was in the mood for whole pieces of chicken and I'm so glad I chose the half chicken plate. The plate comes with two sides and there were a few options to choose from. I selected a side salad and roasted lemon garlic potatoes. I was trying to be a little more healthy. Otherwise, I probably would've chosen the french fries. The dressing on the salad was really good and all of the ingredients were fresh. I really liked the pickled red onions that came with the salad. The potatoes were alright. The plate also comes with a large soft pita. And the garlic sauce was just right with everything . I love the spicy wrap for a nice reasonable healthy lunch! The garlic spread, the tasty rotisserie chicken and jalapeño inside are fire. If I had it my way I would put more garlic spread. It is nicely priced around $12? Service is good. Unfortunately it does take a bit of time for your order when there's many guests ahead. Waited about 15-20 minutes which meant I needed to eat quickly back at my desk at my work office. Busy at the mall food court. Parking is not the greatest here but there is better parking in the garage past the food court straight ahead. I've gotten the salad before and wasn't a fan. I took the food to go, but there are plenty of options of clean seating options. I've been there two or three times now and regret not getting the employees name up front he is great - friendly, polite, pleasant - excellent customer service and knowledgeable of the menu and options. I was excited to try Dizzy Bird as it has been book marked for a while as a "want to try"place. My daughter and I happened to be shopping at the mall and we were both hungry so it was a good time to try Dizzy Bird. She has been here before and really likes it. We both ordered the chicken breast platter with two sides. We opted for the sweet potato and pesto pasta as our sides. Both were very good. Overall the chicken breast was tender and moist however the wing portion was very dry. It probably depends on the time you come and want to make sure the chicken has been freshly made. We came on a Sunday at 2:00pm so it was not peak lunch time. The platter also came with a pita type bread and a garlic sauce/spread. I do wish they separated the pita from the dish since it got very soggy from the chicken since it was placed on top of it. But the garlic spread was delicious ! When i came in, the front of house was a little bit crowded but still orderly enough to get through and out in my order on the kiosk. I would say the setting is somewhat small for the amount of volume at the spectrum, but at the time I was there it was ok. I ordered the spicy wrap with a side of fries. After waiting for around 20 minutes for my order and seeing my friends get their orders first, I found out that they had somehow lost mine. Once I alerted them to this, they were quick to prepare the order and threw in whatever sauces I wanted to try. The wrap was very good, the chicken is the highlight and is very well seasoned. They all come with the dizzy bird sauce which is tangy and creamy but just the right amount. They pack the wraps with meat.
