Dr. Nanra over saw my care while I was there and said if anything comes up come and see us. I decided to take him up on his offer today when I woke up to some questionable symptoms. They had me in and out within an hour (unheard of for urgent care as busy as them, especially with them also being a primary care clinic.) the clinic is clean, the staff is friendly and they are very on top of it. The doctor listened to my history and what led up to today and took all of that into consideration with his treatment options. I will definitely be returning here for my urgent care needs. I'm happy that I have the option to go here if anything urgent arises and know that they care about their patients. Thank you golden state!!!

Her personality is quite mellow but don't be fooled by this. She's calm and relaxed but is often able to discern with laser pinpoint precision what exactly is wrong and how to help our children within minutes! Another great thing is that she isn't one of those rotten doctor's offices that quadruple books a 15 minute time slot to make money but make you and your kids suffer for three hours in a room full of sick kids. Every pediatrician has done this in the area. Again, she is a professional and provides a professional environment. The doctor said that it could easily be removed with surgery. Before the surgery was scheduled, the clinic sent me an estimate of what the operation would cost. The estimate was just over $13,000. A friend of mine suggested contacting a dermatologist to avoid putting her through surgery. The dermatologist said that removing it would be a simple in-office procedure. We decided that was the better of the two options. As planned, the doctor numbed the area, removed the small protrusion, put a few stitches in, and sent her on her way. The cost was around $400. My question is: WHY WOULDN'T VALLEY CHILDREN'S EXPLAIN THAT AN OPERATION WASN'T NECESSARY IN THIS CASE? Why was surgery with an anesthesiologist recommended rather than opting for a much simpler (and less expensive) in-office procedure? I have one additional complaint to offer here. The one-time office visit to Valley Children's clinic (explained above) lasted about 15 minutes. I received a doctor's bill for that visit and paid it right away. Later I received a separate bill from the clinic and questioned what the requested $189 was for. It seems that the clinic is entitled to charge a patient for walking in the door. That charge is separate from the doctor's charge. To me, this doesn't seem fair. While I do believe Valley Children's Hospital and clinics help many kids with major medical problems, they are definitely an over-priced alternative to other avenues of medical care. In this case, I believe the non-profit organization was being intentionally deceitful.

I kid you not every single day that i was pregnant i was sick. smells, even standing up made me sick. I would feel starving i would eat then it would come back up over and over. Then I waited in the lobby for 35 mins before being called back to see Dr. Kano. I then waited in the back room for another hour. No contact from any of the staff to tell me what was going on, it was very frustrating. I ultimately left the appointment and said I did not want to be charged for this appointment or want my insurance company charged. We'll see what happens with that. I have had this problem at this clinic before. I tried switching from the Merced location to the Atwater location with no better treatment. I do not recommend Dr. Kano as he never listens to my heart with a stethoscope. I was diagnosed with an irregular heartbeat last September 2024 from a different Dr. I was concerned, & immediately reached out to my primary care Dr Kano. His staff he could not see me until December of 2024 . Clearly no regard for my health. I asked for a referral to a heart specialist & was told they don't do referrals? Dr. Kano never listens to my lungs, even when I came in with bronchitis? So many concerns. I'm very let down by Dr. Kano. He has had me on a high blood pressure prescription for about 15 years. I have had fainting spells, and my blood pressure from my doctor visits have always been low. When I became alarmed to my lack of care in Merced County, I went to a different doctor in Southern California, they immediately took me off this medication. My blood pressure is now within regular parameters. I have had no more fainting spells. Run screaming from this doctor he is completely unqualified & uncaring.
