Our family feels very welcoming with the FDC family. They have had very little office turnover. There office admin Lexi retired. I have had the same hygenist for the past 8 years. My kids have had the same hygenist as well. The FDC team does a thorough job and makes the visit to the dentists office an OK experience. The kids have had teeth pulled, fillings, etc and have never had a problem. They have heard harrowing experiences of other dentists by their classmates but to them, its no big deal. At one appointment he told me he was okay with it as long as I didn't hold him responsible for some catastrophic dental issue that might arise from my lack of X-rays, but the following appointment 6 months later, he became very aggressive and told me I could not come back unless I agreed to his X-ray requirements. And the fact that at first he was okay with very limited X-rays and then the next appointment he wasn't and was much more aggressive... tells me it was more about the money and not really that something could go horribly and inexplicably wrong without X-rays. To my surprise, Dr. Sunners then asked his assistant to help putting in the crown. I was lying down flat on the dental chair, and the assistant was holding a metal tool with my mouth wide open. The nightmare began. The metal tool that the assistant was holding slipped straight down to my throat. I was horrified. I was fortunate that I could cough out the tool to avoid a disaster in the E.R.. When I texted Dr. Sunners the day after letting him know what a horrific experience I had, he responded lightly and responded that his assistant was very competent instead of apologizing to me. We had a wonky insurance policy that only provided X-ray coverage every other year and they never balked at the request to check with the insurance if it was an "on or off year" for me and my young kids. Getting in touch with anyone is a nightmare, and you're constantly chasing them just to get basic updates. You never see the same staff twice, and it feels like no one is actually on the same page. They drag everything out for months, delay your aligners way longer than they say, and still keep spamming you with calls and texts like you're not already a patient. Then at the very end you're given just one cheaply made "final" aligner that looks like it was ordered off Temu. It's meant to last forever, it's very thin cheaply produced that will definitely break within weeks. If it breaks or you lose you will have to pay $1000 minimum to replace it. do yourself a favour and actually read the 1-star reviews before going anywhere near this place. Don't get fooled by the fake, likely paid-for 5-star reviews they have on google reviews. take your money elsewhere.
