It was bustling and felt like a speakeasy in DC...quiet on the outside and a nice buzz of activity on the inside. The inside décor was unique and had a stage area, a bar about as huge or long as the restaurant, and lots of high-top tables with a few low top tables. There was also a party area. I am so surprised to find this place in Port Tobacco, I can't believe I haven't heard about it until recently. The waitress came over multiple times during our dining experience to check on us. My favorite part of the meal was when the Owner of the restaurant came over to personally introduce himself to us, compliment me, and proceed to have a conversation with us. That is outstanding customer service and will ensure you can bring people back. He told us some of the back story of the restaurant, made jokes, told us not to wait too long to return, and even gave us coffee and carrot cake dessert on the house (i.e. that he bragged his wife makes in house)!! I didn't know people still did that. I felt like one of those privileged rich kids with all the connections. That's a first for me. It was very memorable. FOOD We got the pork belly for appetizer, and the special of short ribs, brussel sprouts, and mashed potatoes. The pork belly was excellent and it came with some sort of sweet potato hash under it. I honestly would like more of that as a full meal. The short ribs were also good, lean, and not overly sauced like at some places. The brussels had just enough crunch, and the mashed potatoes were perfectly seasoned. PARKING Parking is lot parking that wraps around the side. They had a few handicap spaces and some areas on the side that look perfect for motorcycles. Somehow no matter when you come you can find a spot. Unfortunately, the dishes we ordered were a bit underwhelming. It felt comparable to something you might get at a fast-food spot rather than a sit-down restaurant. My girlfriend ordered the crab cake sandwich. It was decent, but it didn't stand out compared to other crab cakes we've had in the area. I would consider visiting again, but next time I'd likely focus more on seafood-specific entrées rather than traditional American options. There's potential here, and I'd be interested in giving it another try with a different selection.

Instead of making memories, we spent the evening dealing with terrible service, disappointment, and what we suspect was food poisoning. From the moment we sat down, things went downhill. Orders arrived incomplete. Food came out so late that some people were finished eating before others even received their meals. Drinks took over 40 minutes to arrive, and the daiquiris were practically melted when they finally hit the table. The graduate's special celebratory drink didn't arrive until another 20 minutes later. Then came the insult. We were charged $13 for mustard, mayo, ketchup, and hot sauce to make our crab sauce. I asked to speak with a manager, hoping things would improve. Instead, I was met with rudeness and indifference. The service never got better. For the first time in my life, I asked for the gratuity to be removed because I simply could not justify paying extra for service this bad. But the worst part happened after we left. Before we even made it home, 4 of the 6 people in our party became violently ill with what we suspect was food poisoning. My daughter who graduated had another event that evening and had to leave 20 mins after arriving because she was projectile vomiting. Watching her spend what should have been one of the happiest days of her life sick and miserable was heartbreaking. I called the restaurant the next day to report what happened and speak with someone in management. No one ever returned my call. I wanted to love this place. It's close to home and right on the water. I've been there before and genuinely thought it would be the perfect place to celebrate such an important occasion. I was wrong. A graduation dinner turned into a disaster. Poor service is one thing. Sending a family home sick is another. Never again.
