That was a nice sight for a sore eye. Seems like this is a very busy and popular gem in the middle of downtown Acworth. They host events like game nights, so check their website. This store is really worth the visit. I had the pleasure of talking to Stasey, the owner, she was super nice while answering my questions about what books I could sell or trade. This store is worth a visit. Maybe on my next visit, I will be introduced to the cat.

You can negotiate the price but so far when they've thrown a price at me I was happy to pay what they asked. They sell comic books, games, puzzles, DVDs and more. The shop is off Allatoona Gateway (used to be Glade Road) - behind Taco Bell, Pizza Hut & KFC. Plenty of parking - the shopping center is not usually busy. The owners are friendly, fun and helpful.

The same clerk was at the front desk. Then a supervisor came up and said she would put a refund on a gift card, ok. During the process the supervisor said there was no return or exchanges allowed ... ALL because I chose Save a Tree! Never will I ever get near that business again because of the No Receipt trickery. Horrible horrible way to run a business and an excellent way to ruin future business.

Overall the layout makes sense and it's easier for me to bring the kids here than pay full price at B&N down the street and the experience is pretty comparable. I also like that you can call them and ask that they hold a book for you- great for Moms running low on time who need to get a book for their kids school project or required reading (speaking from experience here). The only con I will mention is what others have mentioned as well. Don't come here with books to sell assuming you'll get a lot of money for them. Come here with the books you were going to donate anyways. I do wish they had a better trade in program.

Some used paperbacks were $2.75!! The lady working was very helpful and kind. She was knowledgeable about books we were looking for and didn't mind scouring the shelves to help us find them. In all the time where the floor creaks and in every squeak of the door is like a warm greeting from all those who have passed through. They have a little bit of everything in terms of books. Most of their books are books that you wouldn't necessarily find in a conventional bookstore. Books like collector's encyclopedia of Limoges Porcelain or five lessons on the modern fundamentals of golf by Ben Hogan. All the baked goods are baked in the house. I especially enjoyed their Lavender cake which i'm told is made from lavender flower and not the syrup. It's a must try. They also buy use books. Upon entry the place was well lit and buzzing with excitement for the author who was doing a signing. I wasn't paying close attention and didn't realize what it was at first, but there was so much animated conversation that I assumed it was a book club that was really enjoying themselves. It made the recovery from the free book cart mess easy to recover from. The staff was all super friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to search for titles and authors I was looking for and were happy to add more books to my pile (*wink). The only downer was that the shelves had no obvious organization and it was hard to shop on your own. Nothing is labeled consistently and I couldn't tell where one section ended and another began. One section even had a pink sticky note with a hand-written label. The staff also didn't keep a proper inventory and half of books the computer said they had were no where to be found. Bottom line is that this place was welcoming and had good prices. They do not buy books but will offer in-store credit for books you no longer want. Check this place out.
