Dear Ollie, You're pretty swell. As soon as I walked in, I was immediately captivated by your spectacular display of books galore. Kids love you, I'm sure. Teachers too. And I can't forget the entire Christian book section you had. Umm...yes to Jesus. I'd come back just to enter again and hang out right there. I like how you've organized the entrance. As I continued to browse your less organized spaces, I noticed you had something for my car, my bedroom, my bathroom, my kitchen, my body and even my belly! Snaaaacks. I mean you had Classico pasta sauce for frickin' 95 cents! Where they do that at?! Ollie's! I know whatever we see we better snag it, because it's a wrap once it's gone. You're like a Big Lots, only bigger and with lots...more. They've got nothing on you. Glad we crossed paths. You're out of no one's league old friend. 'Til we meet again. Oh, and ya might wanna fix your sliding doors and hire another worker.

I wish I could have found this book BEFORE losing my home in Hurricane Katrina...

Thought I would drop in to check out Ollie's Bargain Outlet since I had not been there before and I expected it to be another disheveled, unorganized heap of random half-opened, crushed boxes of things. Rather than find a bunch of garage sale-type broken cast-offs, I was delightfully surprised to find some really great things! Upon entering the front doors, there was a smell of new carpeting and the store was extremely clean and organized. My first great find was their section of new, discounted books of all types of reading genres! There were multiple aisles of children's books (preschool all the way up to teen) at amazing discounts. For example, I found a super book by a very famous children's author for 70% off and to make it even better, I discovered that the book was a new, signed copy! Score! There are so many different categories of name-brand items: garden supplies, lawn care, tools and hardware, paint, health and beauty aids, patio furniture, dishes and kitchenware, blankets and towels, home décor, toys and puzzles, shoes, clothing items, rugs, and so much more! Items were new in original packaging in perfect condition but at rock-bottom prices. There's something for everyone here. You can sign up at the register for the store loyalty program and when you provide your email address and download the app, you will receive a 15% off coupon that is good on your next visit. I look forward to coming back during the holiday season, as well! Friendly employees and great merchandise; who likes to pay full-price?

I love a good deal and will go anywhere to get one. This store has revolving inventory and when they run out, it's gone. This is my third time to visit this location and each time I go there is a ridiculous issue at the registered. This time I stood in line the same amount of time I was in the store shopping. They have no customer service or ability to accurately explain the issues.

My two bathrooms were renovated, and all of the company's employees were incredibly respectful and professional. As promised, they completed the bathrooms.

Food section. Smaller than big lots.

Wifey took me today. It was pretty busy. They had 2 cashiers and lines were very long when we arrived. We did some browsing and price checking. Some unique items that we could not find on our pricing tool. Overall 50% of items were lower cost than Amazon, JET or other. They beat prices by 10-20% on some items. It reminds me of a Big Lots. Mostly name brand items. 3/5 service. Check out was 15-20 people long. There were no shopping carts...there were a random couple I saw that still had toys R Us carts. Sunday visit at beginning of spring break is tough to find staff. 3/4 somewhat organized and well stocked. Shelves are not always marked but most individual items were. 4/5 the items we could find on line were 10-20% less average. Some blowout specials might have been better priced. 4/5 cleanliness 4/5 more household items and toys than we expected. Small pet and human food section. No fridge or freezer section. We will go back and spend more time. The stock changes daily I imagine. Good hunting. 4/5 unique store for Denton county.

Many prices are higher than retail. I see why there was a lot of merchandise and no customers.

Nice and helpful staff. Good selection of items but not as cheap as I expected. Books were well priced though.

It was a very long drive (off I-35) for marginal discounts: mostly remainders. Not worth it.

From the few photos and the name, I thought it would be more of a children's bookstore but I was so wrong. As soon as you enter, the amazing staff welcomes you and is eager to help you find any books you are looking for. Right at the entrance they had the fantasy and romance section which is a personal favorite, and I immediately found a couple of books that have been on my list. I absolutely LOVED that they had self published books from indie authors, which is so rare to find at any local bookstore (you usually have to wait for them to be re-published by a publisher to find them anywhere besides Amazon). They also have a children's section which is super cute, and I found a couple of things for my little one. On the top floor they have a couple of couches for you to hang out and a section of used books. Frankly, this was one of the best bookstores I found in the DFW area, and I can't wait to come back and support them!

I found a couple books I'd been meaning to grab, as well as a gift for one of my friend's birthday. The owner (or whoever was working) was super sweet and happy to give recs! If you love small bookstores where you can lose track of time and leave with something unexpected -- this is your place.

If you like to collect manga and want to see a huge variety of selections, this is the place. I really like that they also have a selection of manga in Japanese! The art book aisle is awesome. It's hard to find art books in other bookstores, and even places like Barnes and Noble won't have a selection as varied as Kinokuniya. Despite the endless aisles of manga, I've surprisingly noticed that they're missing a few decently known manga. Unless I keep missing it, I've never seen The Case Study of Vanitas in their aisle, but they have the author's other work, Pandora Hearts, in there, for example. I would also say Kinokuniya is limited with their selection of anime goodies. I like that they're all very much authentic and different from your typical anime store selling pop figures and easy to find Bandai/Banpresto stuff, but their blind box selections are also becoming easy to find in other places because it's all the mainstream shows. Overall, if you're looking to expand your collection, this is the place to go.
