Absolutely NOT low prices. Lower than the store, yes, by maybe 10-15%. A large bottle of tide was 18.99. I ean that's the dale price at Target.. muchless if you use coupons. Was not clean, the idles are filled with stuff people pull of shelves AND stuff people just drop whatever they want. No one greeted me when I came in. Thought I would drop in to check out Ollie's Bargain Outlet since I had not been there before and I expected it to be another disheveled, unorganized heap of random half-opened, crushed boxes of things. Rather than find a bunch of garage sale-type broken cast-offs, I was delightfully surprised to find some really great things! Upon entering the front doors, there was a smell of new carpeting and the store was extremely clean and organized. My first great find was their section of new, discounted books of all types of reading genres! There were multiple aisles of children's books (preschool all the way up to teen) at amazing discounts. For example, I found a super book by a very famous children's author for 70% off and to make it even better, I discovered that the book was a new, signed copy! Score! There are so many different categories of name-brand items: garden supplies, lawn care, tools and hardware, paint, health and beauty aids, patio furniture, dishes and kitchenware, blankets and towels, home décor, toys and puzzles, shoes, clothing items, rugs, and so much more! Items were new in original packaging in perfect condition but at rock-bottom prices. There's something for everyone here. This is my third time to visit this location and each time I go there is a ridiculous issue at the registered. This time I stood in line the same amount of time I was in the store shopping. I get nuts of every kind at good prices, toiletries, also. I get dog supplies at times and summer items at others. There are few employees so not much in the way of service. Wifey took me today. It was pretty busy. They had 2 cashiers and lines were very long when we arrived. We did some browsing and price checking. Some unique items that we could not find on our pricing tool. Overall 50% of items were lower cost than Amazon, JET or other. They beat prices by 10-20% on some items. It reminds me of a Big Lots. Mostly name brand items. 3/5 service. Check out was 15-20 people long. There were no shopping carts...there were a random couple I saw that still had toys R Us carts. Sunday visit at beginning of spring break is tough to find staff. 3/4 somewhat organized and well stocked. Shelves are not always marked but most individual items were. 4/5 the items we could find on line were 10-20% less average. Some blowout specials might have been better priced. 4/5 cleanliness 4/5 more household items and toys than we expected. Small pet and human food section. No fridge or freezer section. We will go back and spend more time. The stock changes daily I imagine. Good hunting. 4/5 unique store for Denton county. read more

Out of products for over a month why don't manager check these things because she doesn't care enough about customer complaints

It was a very long drive (off I-35) for marginal discounts: mostly remainders. Not worth it.

It's an unfortunate situation that causes me to leave this one-star review. Most of the employees at Ollie's are helpful and personable. The manager, Eddie, on the other hand is one of the worst I've had the displeasure of meeting. In the few times I've been in the store (which will not be repeated) I've witnessed him yell at customers and multiple different employees (all women, I might add). A cashier should not have to apologize for their manager, and a Manager should not be threatening his employees where numerous customers can see and hear them. I hope the corporate office realizes that this man is not fit to be in charge of a whole department, much less a store. read more

Merchandise on top of merchandise. There is an endless amount of stuff everywhere. And truly something for almost every aspect of your life. Everyone in your family including the pets can find at least one thing they like. It is incredibly messy. Some areas of the store and well organized. others are complete shambles. Its obvious they are grossly understaffed (pay more and give more hours and any store can staff fully) Had to walk clear up to the front from the far back wall just to ask for help. Two ladies up front on registers were very helpful and polite. In fact anytime i got a hold of a store employee they were great. just very hard to come by. Clearly these people know their job and store. but they are short handed for how large this place is. Found out only from asking for a price that an item was 50% off the already low ollies price. but there is ZERO way to know what items are marked down even further and what are the regular ollies sales prices. So im sure they would sell more if people knew. Example the item we were looking at was $99.99. But then we found out right before we left but a nice employee "oh the other sales girl told me that bench is 50% off!" Im sure other customers would buy if they knew it was even cheaper. I would say this is a good place to holiday or birthday shop for sure. They have great prices on area rugs. The doors to the place dont work correctly and they had almost no working shopping carts. again. not shopping for a lot if there are no carts for me to put things in. This is one of those places that you need to spend some time and really look around. It reminds me of what Big Lots used to be before it became more of a discount store. At Ollies, if you find something you want, you should buy it because it may not be there next time. I found a large variety of items that I reallllllyyyy needed. ;). It may not be a super clean store, but the pricing helps ease the dirt factor, and the workers have always been friendly. They probably could use more workers since you can't always find someone if you need help with carrying something heavy. They also take credit cards and have a 30 day return policy. read more

I like bargains but you have to look hard. Its harder to find a bargain on a weekend when there is a lot of disorganization, stuff are not in its proper shelf and then you wont find the price. Theres 1000s of stuff there. Their books are up to 75% off retail. Brand names are going for retail prices like walmart but lesser brand names can be found for reasonable prices. Eg crest toothpaste tube 2.67 and garbage bags no name 10 for $1.20 There is a hardware store section and also some discounted paint, tiles and flooring. You never know what you are going to find but if you find something you want (and I had a huge cart full of stuff I had to curve myself to put back), it is going to be either a good deal or a truly great deal. This place is great! Work up the courage to go in and you won't be disappointed if your looking for a deal. You will have to search, and maybe the store isn't super clean, however you can find some great deals here. I have purchased a fridge, dishwasher, and microwave here all at a great price (better than I could have gotten anywhere else). And they all work great, I have had them for at least 3 months now. DISGUSTING. So one night me and my family decided to stop in about an hour before closing. We were going to go to Olive Garden after for some dinner. We expected this place to be like dirt cheap. Clothes, toys, makeup ETC. I recommend you go to dirt cheap instead. Now dirt cheap isn't the cleanest place, so I didn't expect this place to be any cleaner. Still, even somewhere with the word "dirt" in their name, is cleaner. We walked in and we couldn't even get in the door because there was boxes and stuff EVERYWHERE. We had to move a bunch of stuff to get in. We finally get in, and we look to our right. We started off in the book section. Everything was still full price. So I went off on my own. I asked an employee where the women's clothes were and he said by the suitcases. I didn't want to fight so I just found them on my own. All they had was men's Camo clothes and prom dresses. Then I found the bathroom because I had to go. I walked in and saw A RAT. Even worse, There was McDonalds all over the floor and the rat was eating it. DISCUSTING. Do not come here! read more
