Examples of specific products are t-shirts, toys, snack foods, holiday decorations, slippers, writing utensils, beauty products, and fitness equipment. As soon as I entered the store, an employee courteously said, "Hello. Welcome to Five Below!" I walked around the store and looked at the merchandise. I thought that the quality of the merchandise was OK. My husband and I agreed that some of the prices were higher than what other retailers charge. I chose to buy one Halloween decoration that cost $5. The cashier informed us that a service fee would be added because we used a credit card. I did not notice the service fee on the receipt, unless the service fee was built into the price of the product. The cashier handed our bag to us and said, "There you go!"

And the parking lot? It's consistently chaotic. You're honestly better off using Target's curbside pickup, ordering online and having it brought directly to your car is much more efficient and less stressful.

This particular store was a large size and looked clean, but it unfortunately did not offer the same number of products as do most other Dollar Tree stores. Sections of shelves were empty, and I did not see as many products for health and hygiene. As a result, I selected only several products, mostly for office and cleaning, to put into my shopping cart. I appreciated that many of the products were name brands that were manufactured in North America. At the checkout, I did not have to wait in line at all, and the cashier politely spoke to me and accurately rang up my purchase.

This visit was for my wife and we were shopping, mostly, for summery pants, etc. We left with four pants, a dress, and two tops for under $140! I am still amazed! My wife found much of what she wanted and she is feeling good about herself (that is the #1 goal). All in all, we were thrilled with the results.

Not only is it the middle of the city, its also a college neighborhood, so prices at CVS, Market District, Target, and other nearby options can be kind of prohibitive, especially if you're on a tighter budget. This Dollar General is always well-stocked on food, drink, and snack items. You can find your usual drugstore foods -- crackers, cookies, chips, etc. -- but it also has some slightly more robust options as well. No produce, and not enough to replace a full grocery store, but definitely enough to knock down the grocery bill. This Dollar General also stocks plenty of reasonably priced home goods. If you're looking for common kitchen gadgets or cookware like trays, can openers, storage containers, and so on this is where you want to be. A cookie sheet will set you back $16+ at Market District, but around $5 at DG. You can also find plenty of personal products here. Name brands like Sensodyne, Dr. Teals, Garnier, and others I wasn't sure I'd find here. Pet products too. The only drawback is that this store tends to be understaffed. It's not uncommon for customers to be lined up by the register, yelling back through the store to get assistance. It's not the staff's fault, but it is something to keep in mind because it can make it hard to get in and out in a hurry. Overall a great addition to the neighborhood though!

I have shopped inside this store a couple of times in recent years. The store looked to be organized and clean. The selection of products was large. The quality and prices of the products were moderate, not cheap or expensive. During my most recent visit, I waited only a couple of minutes in line at the cash register. The cashier rang up my item, and then he stared at me without saying anything. I asked him what the total price was, and then he told me. At the end, he did thank me and wish me a good day. I am knocking off one star because I buy only some things here, and I have not yet filled up my shopping cart.
