Whenever I come here, I grab what I need and head out because the inventory is just so cramped up and not organized. The store is split in two down the aisle. You can't go across the main aisle because there's inventory blocking every step. If they would clear it out and organize it more, it would seem more bearable to walk around the store. Things are decently priced, but majority of their books are overpriced. I do like how they have a sales selection, though small, it's better than nothing. I'll continue to come here only because it's the only bookstore but I do wish they could organize it better.

Nice to see an oasis of literature. Not to mention, too, that they had a book reading listed to occur later that day. They also sell truffles, plus many different trinkets. This was my first visit to Midtown Reader to attend a discussion from Terah Shelton Harris for her…read morenewest book release. The store offered copies of the book for sale and Terah was gracious in signing and doing pics. The store also had a coffee shop upstairs which is a nice amenity. Terah was Target's 2025 author of the year, so it was a real treat that Midtown Reader was able to book her for an in person appearance. They have similar events with other authors and also feature different book clubs you can join with books they offer. This is definitely a great place to visit in town.

I forget if it includes used books. But they are great deals. This is a Christian / religious / spiritual / inspirational bookstore. They have Bibles and a lot more. Included are children's books and children's activity stuff that you find in bookstores. Includes some books-on-tape, books-on-cd. Most books are on big pieces of plywood supported by saw-horses, so it's kind of a warehouse deal. If you shop at one store, you get a discount coupon for the other store. It goes both ways, so don't buy everything on one stop, go next door, use your coupon there, get another coupon, and come back here to finish up. If you're a book-lover or a fan of independent bookstores, you owe it to yourself to stop and browse if you are driving by on I-75. It's just 1/2 block from the Interstate highway. The other store has secular books: fiction, non-fiction, computer, children's etc. I was last here in November 2009.

So to clarify, the place they work informed the public that they had stock of the toy people can't ever find for their kids. Seems simple, right? We go there when they open at 10- my kids so excited to get their hands on something they have been wanting so bad. We get in there and the two women working had attitudes of a middle school teenagers. They couldn't believe they had to deal with people who were eager (and all respectful) to get a toy (that they posted!!!). I reminded the one with the worse attitude that it's really not that big of a deal, this is just exciting and makes kids so happy. She responded with no words . Again, acting like a child. I fear even a teenager would have a better attitude. I understand there ARE people who have bad attitudes about these toys but none of us were those people and they should have mentally prepared for people to be there when they opened. Surely there is some meditation they could do before experiencing the horror of parents getting a toy for their kids. I pray they make it through this craze and that the next craze is just going outside and breathing so they don't have to deal with it. God bless.

When you have kids that read a lot, this is the place to go for them to find more entertaining books and subject matters that they like. I'm a chef and I always go through the cookbooks and magazines to get new ideas for me and just love coming here with the family to load up on reading material. Although I do download audiobooks, collecting some sets is something I've always done with the kids from Harry Potter to the latest story, they have it here! Value is good, and selection is fantastic and most often have what we are coming to look for. Get your reading glasses and come out to the bookstore. I highly recommend. !!!!
