This particular visit I was on a mission to find Christmas PJ's for my family (all girls). It was late in the game so the pickings at other stores were slim to none. I had my mind set to visit a few stores on this Christmas Eve to check, but then a light switch went off... "Maria check out Maxway" - here I am! Maxway had what I needed and more! I found great deals on PJ's socks and gift bags. They had Christmas sweaters as well all were percentages off... Christmas Eve! I am sure their pickings were plentiful when the season approached and for that reason alone this will be my first stop next year the day after Thanksgiving! The lines were were pretty long, but the cashiers moved the lines quite swiftly. If you don't mind shopping in clutter or searching high and low for deals, then this is the place for you! If you haven't checked them out, I suggest you do. Clothing and essentials are available for all family members. There is plenty of parking too. The store is located in a strip mall type setting... eateries are nearby and other mom and pop shops. Have fun and enjoy life :)

Ollie's is clearly an overstock store and the inventory can fluctuate a bit but if you've got some free time, you'll net a good find! Tons of interesting food items (a great way to try out stuff you may be unsure of), a wide selection of books (including a LOT of "how-to" books - again, cheap!), clothing, furniture, cookware... You name it, they've probably got it. Of course, stick to the "you get what you pay for" mentality. For some items, that is truly the case, but in a lot of scenarios, you'll likely be very pleased at the bang for your buck! I've only been dissatisfied with a product on rare occasion. This particular store kind of matches the others I've been to. A bit overwhelming at first glance - there's a lot to sift through - but it looks like staff members do a great job of restocking items and keeping things organized. Kind of hard to give a more specific review since stock turns around quite a bit, but it's definitely worth it to check Ollie's out if you've got some free time and a few bucks to spare!

Loss Prevention knows how bad it is their words were " we know about the danger in the area it is our only store in Virginia that we need to hire armed security". They never did and customers and theives continue to walk all over the spineless gutless management. The store is so cluttered and junky I don't know how you would ever shop there. Their entire AC system is falling apart but they won't fix it because the store is in a low income area as opposed to their Virginia Beach location where if the AC was broken they would have it fixed right away for THAT clientele. The quality of the products aren't always great and they used to cut the spine of CD cases so that the artist or record companies wouldn't make money off the sells there. Clever. Other than the shoddy stocking, less-than stellar staff, and did I mention the GLITTER on every square inch of the surroundings, along with the disappearance of several desirable items have made this one a hassle to deal with.
