Appalled. I CANNOT believe the treatment we received. Arrived to the establishment early and paid for premium seats. We were seated accordingly but were then moved to the back of the room where no one was because our friend laughed too loudly. When we inquired why...we were told the comedian was too sensitive. WHAT? We are incredibly easy people. Docile, easy, etc. we asked the "worker" and he stated that the comedian is literally too sensitive and will walk off the stage if you laugh too loud and that they need to build contacts to build their business. One positive, the onion rings were good. So come here for that?... Zero points for me. I will NEVER be back here. This was the worst comedy club experience I have ever had in my life. The owner or manager was very unprofessional. We decided to pay premium ticket prices, and upon seating we were ushered to the far back where no one else was. We were not given an explanation other than our friend had a loud laugh. (Not heckling, just a naturally loud laugh) We felt wronged due to the fact that we were a group who wished to buy drinks, food and enjoy a comedy show; however, at the end of the night, we were told that the comedian would not appreciate our friends laugh and would walk off the stage. (Odd behavior and not fitting for a comedian.) Apparently, the comedian was very sensitive and made us recluse to the background. This was a very disappointing experience. All our friend did was laugh. No refund offered btw. He does have a deep laugh, but so what. That is the point of comedy. The fact that he was asked to sit back in the very last row, is not fair and allows me to write this as a less than a star. I would never recommend this certain spot to anybody who wants to have a good night on a weekend. I wish I could give less than a 1 star review. I'll never go to this club again. The atmosphere is dark and not very classy where you wait for the show to begin. Finally, they ushered us into a room that was more appropriate, however not much better. Seriously, Less than one star. Do anything but go to. Get a pizza. Stay home. Just avoid this place with the "ownership." We weren't offered refunds for our premium tickets when we were put to the back of the room. Worse, the owner or manager came back once our friend posted a one star review. No joke, he came over and said, "She just gave a one star review kick them out." Well, that's not the only one star review buddy. Treat your patrons better and don't single out and embarrass them. Without a doubt, this is our new "go to" for a night out with friends and family. The line up of comedians has been fantastic, and more and more are finding their way to the Lane County market thanks to Olsen Run. I believe we have been to see five headliners so far, and have tickets for two more. The atmosphere is terrific, service is great and the food & beverages have been fantastic and reasonably priced. Eugene finally has a real live comedy club, and after seeing 2 shows here, I'd say they are doing it right! Olsen Run opened a few months ago in the old Sessions/Hifi Lounge. They've done a great job creating a cool comedy club atmosphere. Most of the seating is 4-person tables, with taller ones in the back, and you are directed to seats when you arrive. Servers come to the table to take your drink & food orders. That's right, you can enjoy watching killer live comedy while chowing down. It doesn't get much better. The food is mainly burgers, sandwiches and wraps. I've had the veggie burger ($10) and it was good, made with care, and the server was nice enough to offer to slice it for sharing. The onion rings are also very good. I saw some other folks really enjoying their burgers and loaded fries. I didn't have a chance to try out their signature cocktails, but I have enjoyed some long-neck Coronas, which seem to pair well with comedy for some reason... As for comedians, they've brought in some impressive talent from all over the west coast -- L.A. in particular, and at reasonable prices, in the $15-20 range for most. The shows generally include 2 openers. For both of my shows, I got to see some really impressive Eugene comedians opening up, which was an unexpected treat. It's good to see Olsen Run has embraced the local talent. Most of their weekend acts do 2 shows, and early and late. Some do Fridays and Saturdays. It is worth checking their website and following their social media to get up-to-the-minute announcements. Doors open 30 mins before showtime, get there early for better seats. Since the space isn't huge, these shows do sell out regularly. So it's smart to buy tickets ASAP. And don't be afraid to check out someone you haven't heard of before, its usually a gamble that pays off. read more

Yay, Eugene has a comedy club! I wasn't sure what to expect but I was impressed with this spot, and enjoyed the show I saw with my friend. One of the most outstanding things was the staff: everyone I encountered was friendly and helpful, and the whole experience was very smooth and well-organized. You check in at the front when you arrive and they check your name off a list (no tickets to bring or get scanned) and they lead you to your seat. Servers come around to help you meet your two menu item minimum, and they managed to serve everyone and close out checks before the hour-long set was done. Very efficient. I had a chicken sandwich with fries and an espresso martini. It was basic, but solid for a comedy club. They have a solid selection of food and drinks, including N/A cocktails. My only complaint is that the tables are kind of a weird layout--long rows of tables with chairs on either side facing the stage, so you have to either turn your chair or sit at a weird angle to see the person across from you or eat your food. read more

A great comedy venue that is much needed to diversify the downtown scene. We had priority seating for our show - when we arrived someone checked off our name (no need to print tickets) and then we were sent inside where someone hand delivered us to our seats! Pretty cool and nicely handled! Absolutely no waiting. They do have a 2 item minimum per person, but at a comedy club you're probably going to be drinking anyway, so I'd rather pay for cheaper event tickets and then spend the money I would normally spend on drinks in the 2 item minimum. Plus, the drinks were tasty! We had the old fashioned, espresso martini, and cranberry sour. Service was fairly quick and came to our table 3 times during the show! I went to this comedy club recently, 11/8/2025, and was really disappointed by how I was treated. The performer was fantastic -- I had a great time watching the show and was laughing a lot. About halfway through, I went to the restroom and was unexpectedly pulled aside and told I was being "too loud" and needed to quiet down. After the show, my aunt spoke to the owners, Joe and Rachel, to understand what happened. They claimed I had been turning my back to the performer and talking to other patrons -- which simply wasn't true. The only time I spoke to anyone besides my aunt was before the show even started, and during the performance I was fully engaged, just laughing along like everyone else. My aunt even spoke to the people who were sitting directly behind us, and they were shocked. They said I hadn't been loud at all and couldn't believe I was singled out. When I calmly tried to speak to the owners myself, they insisted they had "footage" of me doing this. I told them I'd love to see it. Instead of resolving the situation, they told me if I didn't leave, they would call security. I was not being disrespectful, loud, or argumentative -- just trying to defend myself. I've never been treated so unfairly or rudely in a place of business. I came to enjoy the show, not to be accused of something I didn't do or threatened for simply speaking up. I will not be returning, and I truly hope they reconsider how they handle customers in the future. read more

They get a good review for the talent they bring in. As far as using their "VIP" service don't bother. Our tickets were $196 vs $70 for VIP status. A very quick meet and greet with the comedian then had to wait in line to be sat down 3 tables back. We tried to move to a more advantageous spot, but were shut down. The VIP seating seems like its first come first serve, now my wife is struggling to see over the top of people. read more

Olsen Run Comedy Club is a gem in downtown Eugene. The atmosphere is similar to a classy club in New York or Las Vegas. The sound is fantastic to really hear the comedians. Lighting is just right to set the ambience. A nice seating arrangement gives everyone a good view of the performer. The staff is well trained and provides excellent table-side service. Getting to finally visit Olsen Run this weekend made me so nostalgic for when I would frequent the LA comedy clubs almost 10 years ago. I have seen stand up since moving to Eugene at The Hult Center and The Mcdonald Theater, which is fine, it's just not the same. There is something so intimate and raw about being crammed around tables in a small dark room with a bunch of strangers hoping for a good laugh. The entire Olsen experience was super smooth from ordering the tickets to ordering drinks. The staff is very friendly and helpful. For those that don't know there is a two item MINIMUM when attending a show here. If you order something in the their lounge it does apply to your minimum. Made an improvised decision to see a comedy show at Olsen Run and while the comedians were a bit lackluster, the staff made up for it! All of the staff were genuinely excited to be there (easy feat when you get free comedy) and all of the food and drinks were promptly delivered. The menu was surprisingly good and folks can certainly order a complete dinner here while watching the show. The venue was clean, classy, and spacious and we loved it so much we are making plans to regularly come! read more

Apparently the way to go is to sit across from one another and they won't sit someone next to you. Two item minimum, drinks or food. This place is awesome. Olsen is a professionally run comedy club bringing surprisingly great national acts to Eugene. Service is efficient and friendly. Drinks are on point. The two drink/item minimum adds to the cost of a night out but that's typically of most comedy clubs. The space is intimate but not too small. I hope they can stay open. read more

Ordered food/drinks, and told the server we wanted to pay with cash, the server then insisted we open a tab on a card and that she would close the tab with cash at the end of the night. We paid (and tipped) with cash, and the server still closed the tab on the card... so we paid double, and I'm guessing the server just pocketed the cash.... sleazy business. read more

Wow! The food was surprisingly delicious... I had the Cowboy BBQ burger and it was damn good! Whether you prefer your cowboys rough and rugged, or brokeback, you're going to love this freaking slab of ground meet. The comedy was pretty good. The last 4 comics were my favorite... I smoke entirely too much weed, so forgive me for only remembering one name, but my favorites were as follows: Springfield vibes lady who sages her vagina, fat guy from Portland, the dentist, and Brent. Y'all absolutely had me dead. From shoving crystals into orifices to smoking crystal meth with your parents, I had to take brief breaks from the hysterical laughter to put oxygen in my lungs so I didn't pass out and become a punchline. Eugene has needed a comedy club for a long time. We plan on returning for the dentist show on the 18th cuz that dude was hilarious. Thank you Mr Olsen. You've done our community more of a service than any career politician has... ever.... In the history of politics. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is the same reason I tell my wife that literally anything she cooks is my second favorite thing she cooks... it keeps y'all trying harder so that every experience is better than the last. Eugene has needed a place like Olsen Run. I've been to two events here so far. Dueling Pianos was a unique and fun thing to do with a group of friends. They took music requests and entertained the crowd. It was great! Last night we saw a comedy show and the comics had the crowd roaring with laughter. My group was in agreement that we intend to watch comedy here again. You'll find the waitstaff friendly and efficient. I recommend you checkout Olsen Run's lineup and choose a show. We have been there twice, most recently to see Ron Funches. The food is really good. Definitely try the Funnel Cake Fries and the Cranapple Gummy cocktail. Burgers are tasty and fresh. Definitely gonna be back! The space is nice, comfortable, and their sound crew is on top of it. Servers and staff are very helpful, attentive, and willing to work with you if there is a mix up. Funches is one of my favorite comedians and he did not disappoint. Funny, quirky, and just my brand of humor. Five stars both times we went, I highly recommend it.​ read more

Tonight was our first visit - we purchased tix to see Scott Seiss. Funny guy. But this is a review of the venue, not the comic. First off, they couldn't find our reservation at the door. No biggie - I had a screenshot of our order, so they let us in after a brief delay. I was anticipating a room full of tables, but instead we were sat in a row of forward- facing chairs shoved right up against the row in front of us, with a small, low table between us. We had planned to order food, but it seemed awkward to have to balance plates on our laps. We ordered beers (VERY tasty) and fries (crispy, hot, and deliciously salty.) After the first beer, we decided to try the cowboy bacon burger to share. Food and drinks were delivered quickly and the waitstaff were friendly and accommodating. The burger was just good, nothing special. At this point the comedy began. No complaints about the show - comedians were funny, sound was good, audience was receptive, food/drink service continued throughout the show. Towards the end, though, turns out the couple in front of us hadn't ordered their prerequisite 2 items apiece. The server was very insistent that they order more, and when they resisted, another server came to back her up. We understand that the owners want people to comply with the 2 item minimum, but that whole interaction took place right in front of us, hindering our enjoyment of the last bit of the show. It seemed excessive and unnecessary. We purchased a total of 8 items between the 2 of us, and I'm sure many others purchased more than the required 2 items - seems to me it would all even out in the end, they would still make a profit, and everyone would be able to fully enjoy the show. We will probably go back to give it another chance because we want to see businesses like this survive in the community. I hope I will be able to amend this review more favorably after a second visit. read more

Went here for the first time with my bf for a comedy show tonight. It was his first time at a comedy show. I'm so glad Eugene has a proper comedy club! It's a nice addition to the downtown area, different from all the dive bars in the area. We had dinner at Party Bar so we parked in the paid lot behind the restaurant then walked over to the comedy show. There's also parking across the street in the garage with an entrance on 7th Ave and 8th Ave. When we entered the establishment, we were greeted by one of the staff members who took down our name. Then we were escorted to a table by who I assume is the owner because I recognized him from my time at Olsen Run Winery. If you're in a party of 2 or 1 then you'll share a table with other people. A server takes your order at your table and brings your order on over. They will do this during the show, too. It was clean in the show area and the bathroom. Both the 7pm and 9:30pm show (which we attended) were sold out. We had a wonderful time! Will definitely be back. read more
