But it's the only tiki bar for miles and it has a unique tiki + horror theme that I appreciate: emphasizing creepy mugs, playing vintage Godzilla on the TV, and a collection of drinks named after monsters. They also have custom mugs for sale, which is always awesome to see. My partner enjoyed her Chinese Mai Tai, but my Bride of Frankenstein tasted like light cream. The service was good. They were professional and personable and bantered well with everyone around the bar. There seemed to be plenty of regulars making the rounds in the early afternoon. I got up close to the stage (out of range of the mains) while the first act -- dadweed -- was playing, and the monitors were, indeed, louder than the mains. And the BASS... Gawd. Ian is an insane player & his bass solos were the only ones that stood out between all three players. The bass solos. The vocals and songs were great over the roar of the bass... The crowd dug it. A bluegrass mix with two guitars is a delicate thing... The point is to be able to hear both guitars and what they're doing, including the whoever's playing rhythm at that moment.

The servers had to lean over us to take our orders, and they consistently blocked the view of the comedians when they were taking orders or bussing tables. It's not the servers' fault--they're doing their jobs. Management controls the seating and can improve it if they choose. The food was worse than at the Eugene Airport. To meet the two-item minimum, I recommend getting drinks only to save yourself the disappointment. Although we enjoyed the performers, we won't be back unless the set-up is significantly changed.
