Almost immediately driving onto the Olympia's Valley property, we knew this was the venue for us. We were desperate to find the rustic, warmth of a barn wedding without it feeling too dated and old (which we felt at many other venues). OVE is a perfect blend of rustic charm and classy looks. The beautiful Victorian estate greets you as you drive up and gives you that "WOW" factor, especially when the lavender bushes are in bloom. The ceremony is held overlooking a pond and bordered by beautiful swaying willow trees. There are so many beautiful spots at OVE and you truly have to visit the estate to get the full effect! Communication throughout the entire planning process was seamless. Lydia and Lindsay were fantastic to work with and we felt extremely taken care of. We ADORED their in-house farm tables as well as add-on options ranging from additional furniture, decorations, and even an ice-cream cart! Olympia's Valley Estate is the wedding venue of your dreams. I think about my wedding every single day and so many of my happiest memories surround the beautiful location that OVE provides. First and foremost, Lydia Hansen is unbelievably helpful in recommending vendors (which you can access on their website with a password.) We selected a majority of our vendors by using this list and were so satisfied with all of our choices. When COVID hit and my husband and I had to postpone our wedding a year, Lydia supported us in changing our date and providing emotional support as we re-planned certain aspects. She knows the venue inside and out and is able to be a sounding board for all of your ideas and thoughts about how to structure your wedding. The venue itself is so dynamic and has multiple areas that can be used in different ways. The historic barn can be for dancing only, or a combination of dining and dancing as we did. There are sprawling lawns to have cocktail hour or outdoor dining, and the willow pond ceremony sight is the most serene place to get married. The highlight for us was taking pictures with the dairy cows who live on the premises! We are so grateful that we had the opportunity to get close to them. OVE staff drove us up the hill in a golf cart to get stunning sunset photos. This venue goes above and beyond to ensure you have the wedding of your dreams. This incredible wedding venue far exceeded all of our expectations and was worth every penny! Set in the beautiful rolling hills of Petaluma, Olympia's Valley Estate boasts stunning views, a gorgeous, completely renovated and meticulously maintained, 200-year-old Victorian home bursting with charm (where the bridal party gets to get ready!), a cozy cottage, a brick oven, a romantic pond surrounded by weeping willow trees and a dock with a canoe, a lush green lawn, a rustic, 2-story barn with a stage, a sheltered beer garden, a green room for a band (or just to hide away for a few minutes), and so much more. This venue had everything we ever dreamed of all in one, convenient location with so many stunning photo ops you won't even know where to start. Luckily, they have a great list of recommended, local vendors who know the venue inside-and-out who will walk you through everything. We did a ton of research/interviewing and ended up choosing all of their vendors who were top notch. Lindsay and Lydia, the sisters who manage this family-owned and operated venue, are the sweetest, most helpful and down-to-earth people in the industry. From the venue tour to the day of our wedding they patiently and promptly answered all of our questions (we had a lot!), walked us through the event flow and gave us ideas for how to use each location on the property, provided example event timelines and site maps, and went above and beyond to make sure all of the details we outlined in our plan were executed without a hitch on our wedding day. We toured a handful of rustic wedding venues around Sonoma County and they all paled in comparison to Olympia's Valley Estate, both aesthetically and value-wise. There was a family wedding here at this location. It was my Girlfriend and my first time here. it is actually very serene and beautiful. For an out of the way place to have your event, this is definitely a place to consider. The views were beautiful, the staff was amazingly personable and helpful. The decor was elegant and complimented the surroundings. The wedding could not have been placed in a more beautiful environment. I had seen OVE on Instagram several years ago and after getting engaged, I knew I wanted to check it out. Even on a gloomy December day, it did not disappoint. Ironically, we did not want a barn wedding but OVE is too special and we fell in love instantly. We worked with Lydia who is fantastic. She was communicative and always friendly. When COVID hit and we had to postpone, she was so understanding and flexible which we truly appreciated and needed. The property is stunning, unique, and very well maintained. They include a lot in the site fee and the customer service is outstanding. We loved the town of Petaluma which was a 15 minute drive away and had plenty of restaurant and hotel options for our out of town guests. We felt so welcomed day of when we arrived on site and were very well taken care of. There are several stunning backgrounds for photos. From the pond and willow trees, to the barn and rustic structures, the hammock and swinging bench, to the beautiful hilltop. My photographer was in heaven. I'm from Oregon so I love greenery while my Californian husband loves yellow rolling hills. They did remove grass from the ceremony and cocktail hour spaces which was a bummer for me, but I do applaud their reasoning (draught/water consumption). Other than that very minor item, I have nothing but amazing things to say about this place! Lydia and her family go above and beyond to make their home and venue special and think of every detail. The second my husband and I pulled in I knew OVE was our venue. I was raised in Sonoma County, and I was so shocked that I never knew about this gem of a place! We have had an insane year so far in terms of weather and right down to the wedding morning, we were worried about rain, but our day was absolutely PERFECT. Everything was so lush and green, the grounds were impeccable, and their staff handled everything they promised and more! The best part for my husband and I is that OVE insists on supporting local vendors. All that we cared about was that our wedding felt like us and that our guests truly got a taste of Sonoma County, and OVE delivered just that. From the willows at the pond, the Victorian house cocktail hour and the dreamiest barn... every single moment was absolute perfection. Additionally, the OVE team works so regularly with our caterers and wedding coordinator that they were a completely well-oiled machine. There were minimal questions, decisions or concerns for my husband and I, as they all had a game plan from the second we decided on our vendors! They made everything SO EASY. In the last 40 minutes of our wedding, our coordinator let me know it had finally started to rain, and we both laughed knowing how lucky we were the weather held out all day... but even better than that, when we went to board shuttles at the end of the night, the OVE staff was waiting with umbrellas to escort our guests. The level of service they offer is insane! I admit, booking OVE is not inexpensive but with that said, for everything they deliver to make your day perfect, they are worth every penny and then some! As I bask in the glow of our fairytale of a day, knowing how hard their staff works and how much pride they take in their property, I would have gladly paid double. read more

I was here a little while ago for a wedding and it makes for a great country venue. There is a party barn for your reception and a nice spot for the ceremony. The barn has nice lighting and white fabric was draped from the rafters, which made for an elegant setting. Attached to the barn is a fully built out bathroom facility and they've got a raised stage for the band too. It's a serene spot just several minutes from the main roads. Not a lot of hotels in the immediate vicinity, we opted to drive up and back from SF, but there are options in Petaluma for guests. read more

My husband and I got engaged last June and by the end of the month we had three or four venues that we wanted to visit. OVE was the first place that we visited and we decided on the car drive home from the venue visit that OVE was the one. It was the only venue that we visited, we knew we didn't need to look at any other places because it checked all of the boxes and felt like us. It was rustic without feeling like a "barn wedding" We absolutely loved how we were able to have the whole event on the property with every part of the night feeling like a new location. The ceremony being on the pond, cocktail hour behind the house and the reception in the barn. The grounds are so immaculate and beautiful and every one of our guests was commenting on how beautiful the venue was. We just got a few of our teaser photos back as well and I can't even begin to tell you how the backdrop of the venue really made the photos. They even drove us up into the hills of the venue to take our sunset photos and everything (down to the cows) was perfect, it was little touches like these that were perfect. Working with Lindsay and Lydia was an absolute dream, they were involved and super helpful but not to the point that was overbearing. They were there at every turn to help us with any questions or concerns that we had and always had recommendations when we were unsure of what to do. You can tell all the love that goes into running this place since it's family owned and they were so helpful. We got married last weekend and it feels like a dream now, OVE exceeded all of our expectations and we can't believe it's all over now. Couldn't recommend OVE more for a wedding venue! My husband and I chose OVE for our June 2019 wedding, and are so grateful we made that decision. Lydia and the entire family are incredibly quick to respond (like within minutes), which eased so much stress from our wedding planning process. They were always so friendly and never annoyed by all the questions we asked. They're total pros. We looked at so many other venues and felt that OVE perfectly captured the feeling of Sonoma County beauty, which was important to me as I grew up nearby and wanted a venue that felt remote but still close to lodging, had beautiful rolling hills, a gorgeous ceremony location (willows weren't something on my list but they were STUNNING and provided the best textured background and greenery for our photos), had different spots for each portion of the wedding that would be far enough from each other so as not to feel cramped, but were just a minute or so walk to each area and with a natural flow. We learned in our search process that there are so many things a venue needs to have for a wedding that many do not, like plugs for a dj, a parking lot, lighting, etc. OVE has it all, and it was such a relief to not have to spend our time integrating these details into our day. The venue also provides and sets up chairs for the ceremony, and chairs and tables for dinner, and included updated restrooms, which was something we determined many Bay Area venues did not have (and we did not want to bring in portable toilets!). The wedding day went off seamlessly, and our guests were all in awe of the natural, beautiful vibe of the wedding site. Plus, the cows (behind a fence, and not smelly at all) were a hilarious addition that everyone loved and took pictures with. We do recommend paying extra to extend the party by an hour - it was the perfect length! Just so so grateful that we chose OVE for our wedding venue! read more

We had looked at so many wedding venues with a hope for a place that would really accommodate our desire for an intimate, rustic, family feel... When we saw Olympia's Valley we fell in love immediately and knew it was THE place for us. The Tresch family were extremely helpful throughout the entire planning process - providing wonderful recommendations for local vendors that would suit our style, tips and access to their incredible property when we needed it... Lydia, especially, was there for us to answer any question and went out of her way to make sure things went smoothly. On the day of our wedding, it rained and they were there for us from the time we arrived until we left, making sure we had everything we needed - from making sure our guests were comfortable and dry to standing outside to direct cars as we got ready in the gorgeous farm house! The venue itself was absolutely stunning. We wanted simple elegance and the rustic barn setting with the crystal chandeliers, antique furniture pieces, and vintage elements exceeded our hopes for our event. We loved that because they are also a generationally owned dairy farm, they make sure local produce and organic foods are incorporated into their weddings! When we look back on our day and review our pictures, we remember a truly magical day, made possible by such a beautiful family, property and venue. Olympia's has always been our dream venue but we were worried about it being out of our budget since wedding vendor websites rated it as expensive. We procrastinated on wedding planning until we finally sent out a harmless inquiry and realized the pricing was reasonable so we booked a venue tour. We were blown away and it looked better in person than in pictures. We had the tour in October and by then, most of the following year weekends were already booked so we would have our first choice option 2 years out. We chose June 1st since it would be after the spring showers and before the summer heat rolled in. Day turned out perfect, as the week before had unusual rain and the week after had an unusual heat wave so we were surprisingly lucky.  We're so grateful we got to celebrate our love at OVE. It offered the perfect combination of an outdoors ceremony with the indoors reception in the cozy barn. They were able to accommodate our headcount of 160 guests and a live band, AMFM from Downbeat LA, with enough room for a large dance floor and almost every table still had a good view of the band.  Lydia and Lindsay were a pleasure to work with and are very professional and sweet. It's a true mom and pop business with the farm being in their family for generations, and they still give off the family friendly vibe. We liked that they prefer local vendors so we could give back to the community. Everything went smoothly and they were always ready to answer any questions we had. Try to choose a coordinator with experience working at OVE. We chose Lisa Bravo, and she knew the venue inside out so that definitely added to the ease while wedding planning. Back to the venue. Yes, the willow tree pond and barn are absolutely gorgeous and picturesque, but there are so many other nicks and crevices that get overshadowed. We received our professional photos back from Jessica Christie Photography, and looking back at the details of the venue, we came to really appreciate how rich in personality everything is. We had so much fun taking pictures and exploring the whole venue - like with the victorian house, cottage, greenhouse, greenery and wildflowers, hammock, and even the new additions like the beer garden. The natural aesthetics really doesn't require that much extra decoration so that'll help save you money. You can tell everything has been well thought out and put together with class. It's a unique venue and many guests and friends have told us that it's the nicest wedding venue they've ever seen. It'll definitely leave your guests in awe by the beauty. Highly highly recommended and writing this review brought back all the feels and fun we had. We had our daughter's wedding at Olympia's Valley Estate June 2022. I cannot say enough things about the venue and Lydia and her family and staff. We first found OVE in February 2019 and immediately snagged a date only to delay the wedding twice and fast forward it once. Lydia was fantastic in every way. She was lovely and accommodating each time we had to make the changes. We knew that OVE was beautiful and on our wedding day it did not disappoint. Every moment from beginning to end was beautiful and perfect. We had fun in the Victorian House getting ready and love the family history. We loved having our bride and groom take a spin in the canoe. Watching our guests arrive and wander in the meadow was wonderful. The beauty of the pond as the backdrop to the ceremony was perfect. Cocktail hour outside by the pizza oven was beautiful. Sunset photos were gorgeous. Dinner and dancing in the barn followed by dessert in the beer garden. My partner and I came across Olympia's Valley Estate online, and immediately booked a venue tour. It was only the second venue we visited, but as soon as we got there, we knew it was the perfect place to have our wedding. It is even more beautiful than the photos (which is crazy to even think about)! The venue has so much character and so many different places to take photos. We loved that we could have an outdoor ceremony by the willow pond, and the reception inside of the barn. In the barn we opted for the draping and had our DJ install uplights (it was gorgeous). We have gotten so many compliments from our guests about how stunning and breathtaking the venue was. During our venue research phase, we learned that some outdoor venues don't include bathrooms, but OVE has restrooms out by the barn, which was great. Tables and chairs (and set-up) are also included in the rental fee. We decided to rent a shuttle for guests, but they have a big parking lot for those who decide to drive to the venue. They also have an on-site pizza oven that you can use during cocktail hour! The team at OVE is so amazing. From day one, they were so responsive, helpful, professional, and nice - which relieved so much stress throughout the wedding planning process. Olympia's Valley Estate was the one and only venue we visited before deciding it had to be the setting for our May wedding. We immediately fell in love with the beautiful property, complete with areas perfect for getting ready, a garden ceremony, cocktails in a pasture, and dinner and dancing in the barn. My brother just got married here. It was a lovely day. The venue is gorgeous and seems to be well-run from a guest's perspective. The road leading to it is a bit treacherous and they could use more clear signage, but it was a lovely farmhouse setting with the venue-oriented barn space being beautiful for the reception. They just need to add some restroom facilities to make it perfect. Bonus: they have a little fruit stand by the road with an honesty box. I bought some apples, pears, and one tiny (the last in the basket) persimmon. All were delicious and made the following few days' CA road trip a bit more special. read more

My daughter was married at Olympia's Valley Estate last Saturday. To say it was a magical afternoon and evening is an understatement. This venue is beyond amazing. Everything was set up exactly as promised, the grounds were beautiful as was the farmhouse and barn where the reception was held. The venders that we used from the list we were provided by the estate were all wonderful and it was quite evident that they knew the venue inside and out and what would work and what wouldn't. My fiance and I didn't even look at another possible wedding venue. We found this gem on a random motorcycle ride, luckily for us they had the date we wanted and it was set. Beautiful venue from pond ceremony, to Victorian house cocktail hour and great barn reception. For the groom it was the perfect reminder of the Wisconsin farm he grew up on, for me, it was the perfect setting to showcase my hometown Petaluma. It's hard to find the words to describe how magnificent it was to have our wedding at Olympia's Valley Estate. But I'll try! When we started looking for venues, we knew we wanted a place that felt comfortable and natural but still pulled-together. And wanted a place that felt quintessentially Northern California so we could really show off the region to our many out of town guests. Olympia's was the first venue we saw and checked all of the boxes and more! As we toured subsequent venues, not even came close Olympia's. And we couldn't be happier with our choice! From getting ready in the beautiful Victorian farmhouse and cozy cottage to having our ceremony in front of the peaceful pond and weeping willows to dinner and dancing in the amazingly charming barn - everything was simply perfect. The pizza oven is a cocktail hour game-change, the beer garden was an awesome place for people to mingle when taking a break from the dance floor, the the nearby hillside made for the most stunning "golden hour" photos, and the new permanent bathrooms were MUCH appreciated (and a rare-find when looking for more rustic, outdoor venues!) And to top it all off, Lydia, Lindsey and the entire OVE family are so easy-going, accommodating and professional - really joys to work with! My husband and I had our wedding here on September 12, 2015 and it was absolutely perfect! Olympia's Valley Estate treated us, and our 190 guests to an amazing day. The venue's naturally beautiful grounds, and gorgeous historical buildings create a one of a kind experience. Olympia's Valley Estate provides couples with; a ceremony site next to a pond encompassed by romantic weeping willows, a bridal suite within the timeless Victorian home, a rustic cottage for groomsmen, a cocktail hour area, a barn for dinner and dancing, and many other perks included I can't even begin to list. This venue is a steal. The beautiful grounds provide ample opportunity for breathtaking photographs - Our pictures are absolutely beautiful! But, one of the greatest aspects of having our special day here would be their AWESOME PROPERTY MANAGERS! Lydia and Lindsay are 100% dedicated to making sure your big day goes as planned. They were EXTREMELY HELPFUL and always answered my numerous questions I asked via e-mail right away. I took all of their advice and our day had NO HICCUPS! Listen to them, they know what works best! I'm so glad I took their advice on vendors as well as how to make our wedding day flow better. They genuinely care about their clients, and go out of their way to accommodate your vision for your wedding day. Lydia was 7 months pregnant and was on her feet managing our wedding from start to finish! You cannot find any other property/venue managers as GENUINELY DEDICATED to their clients as Lydia and Lindsay. I wouldn't change a single thing about our wedding. BEAUTIFUL location! Would absolutely recommend for weddings. The honor farm stand in front of the driveway is so great, with fresh produce and lavender bunches. Apples are a little pricey ($2.50/lb.), but that only starts adding up if you're buying in bulk. read more

This venue is a true gem. Lydia and Lindsey (the two girls that run this property for their family) are contentious, ambitious, and hard-working- no pre-tense here. The property is absolutely beautiful without being stuffy. The barn is one of the most meticulously kept barns you will ever see. Polished concrete floors (not a single cob-web to be seen), beautiful wood rafters, and a picturesque Sonoma County-vibe. Not only that, but all profits support this family run organic farm (including their Strauss organic dairy on the other hillside). As a vendor that works at OVE (and other venues across Sonoma and Napa counties) I have seen the attention to detail that these ladies put into their property every day.
