Jaimie was incredible for keeping me in line when I was getting ahead of things and was quick to reassure me of any of my concerns. She was always available and ready for anything that came her way. After researching and visiting several locations to accommodate our wine country wedding for about…read more75 attendees, including 10 children, we booked Kenwood Gardens. Most of our attendees were coming in from out of town so it was important for us to show them a memorable wine county experience complete with beautiful views, excellent food, great wine and memorable venue. Kenwood delivered across the board at a very reasonable price. The grounds were perfect for our wedding. The barn was ideal for the size of our party and the grounds outside allowed the kids to play safely but away from the adult fun. We booked a Friday evening wedding which gave great flexibility on dates with venue and caterers. Kenwood catered the event and even coordinated with many local food vendors to ensure our favorite breads, cheeses, cakes and beer were there for the sampling. They also helped us find a very good DJ who kept people dancing all night. The Kenwood wines were a nice option given the price and the beer selection was very good. We found Lorin to be helpful in planning the event but realize if you don't get the full planning package you'll need to do some heavy lifting yourself leading up to the event. I'd recommend the 'day of' planning package. If you're reading this review to find a venue for your wedding congratulations, I highly recommend Kenwood Gardens.

Carl is a gracious host. input as needed but when she wanted to try something different he was kind enough to admit he liked it and added to his list of ideas for potential clients. we will have great memories forever.

We had our wedding at Monte Rio Community Center in June 2019. It was the perfect place for us to…read moreget married. We chose to rent out The Meadow space near the river to have an outdoor ceremony and had an indoor reception. First off, MRCC is good for those on a budget. The hall has big glass doors that can open out onto the outdoor area, giving the room a more spacious feel. We had around 70 guests and we could have fit many more. We loved the tall ceiling and wooden beams. The kitchen area was also spacious and manageable. I very much appreciate how much flexibility the center provided us. It helped give us freedom for creativity. Many other spaces we researched allowed only beer and wine, and made you choose from a limited selection of caterers (many, if not all, were outside of our budget). We could choose any caterer we wanted, and provided our own alcohol. Jean was a treat to work with. She was funny, kind, communicative, reliable, and prompt. Whenever I had a question she responded within a few days. She met us numerous times at the center and answered all the questions I had (many times I asked the same one twice, thank you for your patience). She was very warm and made the planning process more enjoyable. As for the meth head from the previous review (from 2013) I did not run into him. I don't think he lives there anymore. I did not have any problems with non-guests. Thank you for helping us have the wedding we've always wanted!

First lets start with how beautiful the property is, amazing views of the vineyard, cute quaint atmosphere, and just a great spot for an event. Now some of the things I thought about. Parking is non-existent and while there was a shuttle, it took over 20 minutes to turn around, something I think the venue owners should think about. Bathrooms were outhouses, I assume were brought in. The gravel walkway to the wedding area around the pool was problematic. I watched at least 10 senior guests not being able to get down the path and even with help it was difficult. The grass around the pool had been freshly watered, and was green and lush, but the chairs sunk into the grass. The dining tables were cramped and so difficult to eat at. I do not know if the family invited over suggested capacity, but it was definitely an issue. For a small event (50 or less) I would say this could be a great venue, any more than that, and if you have older guests, between the paths and the parking, I'd certainly consider those things.

I came for a retreat and stayed one night, two days. Okay, first off, I just have to say... The food was amazing! Props to the chef, there was food for normal diets and special made dishes for vegans and other restrictive food diets! Everything was delish! I couldn't wait for meals! One of my favorite dishes had to be this pumpkin seed pesto! I'm just drooling at the thought of it. Meals were buffet style in a shared space, so other people who are staying will be sharing meals with you in the same space. The grounds itself are lovely. It's in a nice wooded space with little cabins everywhere, a pool and hot tub area, and many difference conference "cabins". Lots of outdoor work areas where you can hang out and do work. You can even schedule a massage in this cute little round cabin. There are some hiking trails around (although we didn't end up having any time for them). The property is on an incline, so if you have trouble with stairs or upward walking, it'll be something to consider. There are longer ramped inclines if stairs are a problem for you. The cabins themselves are nothing fancy. Quaint and cozy, we had a fireplace in ours which was so luxurious to have! There were three beds in our little cabin and a tiny little kitchen area as well. The bathroom was rather basic, felt like a childhood sleep away camp bathroom. There is a lot of parking throughout, and areas for you to drive up to the top (for people who have cabins at the top so you don't have to lug your luggage all the way up the stairs). It was overall a lovely quaint stay at Westerberke!
