The food should be made of real ingredients, not reheated frozen dreck from a pre-prepared container like you get from big box chain restaurants. I ordered coffee. It was good. Good enough for second cup. I ordered the hot hamburger with mash. Real meat. Real potatoes. Lots of gravy. Forgot to ask for onions! Everything put smile on my face, and filled my belly. So, all boxes ticked: Comfort food at a reasonable price? Check. Decent coffee? Check. Real food? Check. Bonus points for quick and friendly service. Chicken parmigiana was phenomenal - with perfect amount of cheese and tomato sauce. Smoked salmon benefit was ok - a bit saggy with Hollande sauce and side potatoes were overly cooked. Staff were very friendly as well. The interior was simple but clean. We will definitely go back to this restaurant when we are in the neighborhood!
