Best car repair shop EVER! Pete treated ALL his customers the same. You don't find that any where. There's nothing worse when treated inferior because you are a woman as I was at Mavis. I had gone there for a new tire and was told I needed to replace my brake fluid. I called Pete, told him and he said it wasn't needed!!! Enrique was tops, also!! I was upset and sad to find that the shop changed owners. When you have an honest mechanic and assistant, they are worth their weight in gold. I had just gone there at the end of November and nothing was said, so this is such a shock. I have been using Olympic for 30 years now and trust them fully. They've taken care of my cars, and Pete is the most honest business owner I know. If he can't fix something, he lets you know who can. And if there's a more affordable way to do something (like suggest I buy a window controller for my SUV on Amazon to save $250+ on a repair) he shares the ideas. Thank you Yelps for helping me find Olympic service station when my 74-year-old mom, my toddler, and I had (what seemed like) big car trouble a mile away. After a very unhelpful AAA call, I called Olympic and asked if they could help us if we towed there. Instead, Pete diagnosed the problem over the phone in two minutes (user error, and easily fixed). You may not get that lucky, but you'll get honest, good help (and not talked down to as a woman, either, which is refreshing). Just want to give Pete a HUGE thank you. I took my car to Mavis initially for new brakes and then they started tacking on charges for who knows what coming out to over $1000 in work. HUH??? I saw raving reviews for Pete on Facebook so I brought my car over and he said, "all you need is front brakes and rotors and MAYBE a caliber, I won't know until I'm doing the brakes but I'm not sure where they were coming up with all these charges." I put my trust in Pete. He called me up and told me he did my front brakes and rotors and wound up NOT needing the caliber. So rare to find an honest mechanic who doesn't do work if it's not needed, and especially a mechanic that doesn't take advantage when a woman walks through the doors!! Front brakes, rotors, air in tires, brake light fixed and inspection done all for around $300. Totally fair, totally honest. He has a new customer in me and I'll be recommending him. read more

Pete is absolutely amazing! Competent, trustworthy and fairly priced! We have switched from another mechanic because everyone has been raving about his shop. Last time I was changing the oil, he told me the brakes were on their last 25%, so I got so worried, and he said "What I mean is, the car now has close to 20K miles, so you are good for another 4K or so. If this was an emergency, I would not let you out of the shop with bad brakes". What an honest guy! read more

This service station is the best. Pete is honest, and reasonable. I trust him and that is very important. He is the nicest guy and doesnt try to upsell you or try to get you to do unnecessary repairs. I would recommend him to everyone, and I do! When my car was new I took it to the dealer and constantly got ripped off, when they wanted $1500 for a sensor issue I went to him and the sensor was dirty and all I had to do was drive it and blow it off ! and I did! saved the money and will use him as long as he is open!! read more

There is no better mechanic than Pete. I met Pete about 7 years ago when I had a nail in my tire. I did not have a mechanic here is Oceanside at that time and my co-worker told me to go to this mechanic. I went in, asked for Pete and told him my problem. Without him asking who recommended me, he went to my car and saw what the problem was. With a full garage of clents, he took a few moments out of his busy schedule and helped me right away and fixed my problem. Within minutes I was on my way. I have used him ever since and even have brought my family from out of town to use him.
