I have an old 2003 Chevy Tahoe with 180,000 miles that was going to need some TLC. Front suspension, water pump, fuel pump, and a few other things so it would be road worthy for a long summer trip to Texas. They got me scheduled to come in, did an inspection and contacted me with the results. They clearly outlined all the work they recommended along with a detailed cost breakdown. Total repair time was just under a week and they called me to provide a status. They delivered on time and on budget. Staff were friendly and professional. I will start with saying they are very polite and nice but that's about all they've got going. I brought them my truck KNOWING it needed a transmission replacement or rebuild because they would not give me any kind of quote over the phone, just for them to "diagnose" and tell me it needs a transmission. They told me that they DO NOT rebuild transmissions, they are ONLY willing to replace them with transmissions from a second company whose transmissions are double the price of a factory transmission. They then quoted me almost $8000 to replace my transmission, which any mechanic can pull and replace a transmission for less than Olympic Transmissions. So they charged me $150 just to tell me what I already knew. I highly recommend Thurston county transmission just down the street. They quoted me over the phone less than the cost of Olympics transmission alone to actually rebuild my transmission like to an upgraded heavy duty transmission with a LIFETIME WARRANTY. In my opinion this is a terrible way to run a business and are just scamming people out of a $150 diagnostic fee. They should not claim to be a transmission shop if they aren't even able to rebuild transmissions and only install another company's grossly overpriced transmissions that don't even come with a lifetime warranty like Thurston County Transmission offers for a fraction of the price. read more

I took in my 2008 Toyota Camry to give it an extended life. They did an excellent job & were very fair. It needed a lot of work (I already was aware,) they didn't push me into any work I wasn't ready for, they offered me a ride home (I had brought my bike,) I declined as it was a beautiful day. these great folks have worked on my 99 expedition my 01 mustang GT. I am mechanically inclined myself and i am VERY picky on who will work on my cars. with Carlos and his team i have worries. I needed a tune up on my expedition and many of you know the plugs break off inside the head. Carlos told my " I am a ASE certified mechanic if I break a plug i fix it" I was sold!!! few mechanics will step up like that today. now my GT is in the shop and they bent so so far over backwards to help me and my wife with car rental the warranty company. I was so stressed with the warranty company the staff down there (amanda tressa) worked super hard to get the warranty company to hold up what they said. and there hardwork and kindness has brought me to tears. i am telling you every penny i have spent went to the BEST work. they are fast BUT do NOT do things half assed. when they are done there are no zip ties no duct tape no mickey mouse stuff. they put both buns into it and do it right. Very nice people that don't back their workmanship. Every time i visited i was greated warmly but due to two problems for one job I can't suggest this company for any Mercedes-Benz owners. I had this shop do a full transmission service on my 2002 w203 c32 amg mercedes. This included full oil drain, plug seal replacement, conductor plate replacement, and transmission pan replacement. The first day i got it back i was driving to work and noticed an oil odor, so i pulled over and found that the transmission fill cap was not installed and there was oil shooting against my firewall and dripping onto my exhaust. 45 minutes later im back to their shop and had Carlos put the cap on and found he didn't have any red lock pins. So i sold him some that i had. The transmission was about half a quart low and he topped it off with mb transmission oil. This service was done in February. On June 12th I was driving over the cascades and going up a hill and looked up to find a very large plume of black smoke trailing behind me. I immediately pulled over and shut the car off then jacked it up to look under it for fire, luckily there wasn't one but there was transmission oil sprayed all over the rear half of the car and it was seeping out of the pan gasket. Being sunday and olympic wasn't open i had no choice but to tow to the nearest town "wenatchee" and perform a transmission pan gasket service, while doing the service i found the pan bolts were tightened so much that i had to use about 75-80% of my body weight to break them loose. This is NOT how tight these bolts should be 12-15ftlbs is what the manufacturer recommends. I pulled the pan off and found the oem gasket to be just fine but out of an abundance of caution i bought a new one and oil to finish the service. I found that due to the bolts being so tight it caused the thick gasket to pinch at almost every mounting point causing the gasket to leak. After missing a day of work and accruing pretty significant expenses by having to stay away from home and performing a transmission service in the parking lot of a Holladay Inn. I submitted my invoice to olympic and Carlos called me the following day. He stated that he wasn't going to help with the expense because he used parts i brought (all OEM) to do the service even though the failure was due to him not knowing the torque spec for the 722.6 transmission pan bolts. This review is way long overdue. I was introduced to Olympic Transmission and Auto Care when I started having trouble with my very well loved 2000 Ford Focus of 220,000 miles. A friend that I trust with my life sent me to Carlos. Over the years, I have had two different mechanics work on my car and did a poor job, for instance, the water pump was not placed on correctly and my plugs had burnt themselves onto the engine. Olympic Transmission and Auto Care (Carlos and Vincent) Introduced themselves to me, told me what could be done. I was given options and advice. I had just finished school and started a job that paid less than I needed to live on. I was struggling with money and transportation needs. Carlos, Vincent, and Amanda helped me, by working with me, walking me through the steps, and ensuring me I would make it through with a reliable car. I took the bus five days a week and work extra hours on the weekends. Carlos offered me a truck to get to and from work. I told him that I would only use the truck when and if it became too much for me. After a grueling work week, I called him up and was able to use the truck with no problems. This is something that he didn't have to do but wanted to really help me while my car was being repaired. My car always ran slow going up hills. I would always have to use my hazardous lights. There were so many noises, clicks, and smells that I had gotten used to over the years. My other two mechanics just kept telling me that my car, "was just too old." Carlos and Vincent fixed all of those noises, smells, and clicks. I am so grateful because they kept working with me. I had to come back a couple of times but it was well worth it. I can truly say, "I got my newer used car back ". When I got my car back, it was as if I had gotten a new engine in it. I am truly forever grateful that I no longer have to get to work by bus, having to get to work two hours earlier than scheduled, work a 12-hour shift, and take 1 and 1/2 hour bus ride back home was more than I could deal with every day. Don't even ask me about the weekend bus schedule (Grrrr! What a nightmare). My car is still running smooth 6 months later with no signs of slowing down. Olympic Transmission and Auto Care believe in quality workmanship and standing by their work. Because of Carlos, Vincent, and Amanda, I am able to work with no worries of my car breaking down while saving up for my first new car. I will still keep my sweet little 17 and 1/2-year-old Ford Focus as a second car. Olympic Transmission and Auto Care's teamwork and patients with me through my ordeal has given me faith in people, people helping people. This is why, I will always go back to them. They are wolves in sheep clothing. They act all nice and friendly at first. They changed out our transmission with another one 2 years ago, it was expensive to do, and now it is broken down again. Just after 2 years! That transmission should have lasted a lot longer than 2 years. I took my car to another shop and they told me we will have to get another transmission. When I called Carlos to tell him what happened, he said to bring the car in which I did. I asked him what he was going to do about it and he wouldn't give me a straight answer. He actually had the nerve to say I "hurt his feelings" by taking the car to another shop. Which is ridiculous I have every right to get a second opinion especially since Carlos did shoddy work the first time. He told us that he didn't want to do business with us any more. Of course he didn't want to do business with us, that would mean he would actually have to fix his mistake! Plus a year ago he said we needed a $1400.00 valve tune up,that it would make the car run better and we would get better mileage which is NOT TRUE. It did absolutely nothing for our mileage. Just be very leery when dealing will them because Carlos can't be trusted. He's just out to make a buck. read more

Took my vehicle to get the transmission checked on and ended up with more problems then what it had. All I wanted was the flywheel to be changed out with a new one and to check if my clutch needed replacing. I had previous work (very minor) done with the engine many months (which was fine until I took it here) before I had transmission problems. It was very expensive to have had work done on something so minor here. Once I paid an arm and leg, everything was fine with the car, until 4 days later it was having the same issue that I originally took it in for. I took it back and Carlos insured me that he would have it fixed, only to find out something is wrong with the engine that is causing the transmission to have trouble. It would of cost me even more to fix the "problem" now for the engine (which there was nothing wrong until I took it here). I had already hit my spending limit with this business and as we were discussing the details of what was wrong, he recommended that I get a loan that was just down the street. I don't think so....this instantly gave me a red flag and I totally agree with Shannon. "They are wolves in sheep clothing. They act all nice and friendly at first."
