I Set up there Ottawa location for the company Toronto management very Toxic they give opportunity based off Prejudice personal views first not professional, they talk trash about staff/customer base, other religions, staff members wife's cause of their views no basic respect or gratitude for the business they get, zero safety standard banged my foot there saying don't do "incident reports" they operate a lift u need a license for not having one, will belittle you an take advantage of everything you do giving opportunity or training to people based off prejudice views first and they end up leaving the company its unprofessional joke, just taking advantage of the government kick back on wages by hiring certain people and screwing everyone else. Worked at there Ottawa location for 3 years took over there sales floor changed 90% of it setting up there store for the company, covered an fixed everything all pricing/items not in the system, merchandising issues made that store function for the longest time. Was kept on the side the whole time even when they did the initial change of chemicals I was already doing everything at that point an the Toronto management did the walk with the manager and a buddy of the company who was hired for only a few weeks to help them out, I was working that day ended taking over a day later having to call Toronto management cause the manager told me to call them after that I did the rest of the store pretty much doing everything covering the whole floor, a lot of customer service and all the trucks I unloaded Ambient/freezer even transfers or store maintenance you name it I covered and fixed it all. Having to bud in all the time to help them out for the store to function, I had ask for all my raises and promotion they gave me floor supervisor and found out somebody already had it who knew the owner. I worked 2x to 3x harder compared to everyone else to get that position it was fake found out they would make fun of fact he had that position probably me too when they gave it to me. The floor supervisor position got no training or opportunity in the company got to a point where I called Toronto management to see if I had a actually future in the company, was intentionally verbally attacked with the most ignorant distain and disrespect you could imagine, mocking my position bringing up how that staff member already had the position and it meant nothing just trying to trigger me so he could fire me knowing they brought in others and could take advantage of everything I did instead of getting me involved like I earned and having me there a fair amount of time a week 6/7 days so I could do things properly not being on overdrive for them all the time too keep the store going and being takin advantage of. Immediately after that Toronto management put staff in departments to push me out brought in staff from Toronto also, when he brought in the first one they walked in an I was walking out to do something he starred me down with the most pathetic look you could imagine like you're screwed looking at a angle so the new staff couldn't see, even after all that I still finished the rest of the theme/setups I had planned and helped the new Manager fix all the main inventory problems that were in the system he was forced into the situation I don't blame him. Made multiple HR complaints all got ignore they just condone what the management does and protects them, no safety standard either company is very bias there's no earning you way.

Let's start with the prepared foods counter, which consists of a number of warming trays for hot items, a counter with a stack of steamers for dim sums, and the typical chinese BBQ display window, with the hanging, reddish-hewed ducks and pork sides. My husband and I have found some of their take out foods to be on the bland side, but the BBQ and the bakery items are total winners. My daughter loves to get a take-out combo tray of BBQ pork (char sui) and roasted pork belly for her workday lunches. We also love to take the BBQ pork buns camping or on road trips. They make a very tasty, clean, hand-held snack. I've also tried their dim sum, and it was very good, for dim sum prepared and then held warm for a while. Their Youtiao (fried dough sticks), shao mai and har gao are always great. They've recently introduced stuffed tofu to the dim sum counter, and I will have to give that a try. The meats, from both the Halal and Non-Halal counters are excellent. The have very competitively priced meat that it always fresh. Pacific also has some great weekly specials, many from their seafood counter. Once, I bought snapper for a fraction of what it would cost in a mainstream grocery store. I've had their lobsters and crabs too: all excellent. Now, moving to the produce aisles, you will find a vast assortment of exotic fruits (what else should I call them? are Dragonfruits and Mangosteen exotic??? Or am I indulging in Orientalism). This section of the store smells beautiful, fragrant with ripe fruit. The produce aisles also boast a copious selection of Chinese greens, such as Yu Cai and Snow Pea Tips, which the regular grocery stores do not carry. Finally, the dry goods aisles offer many good deals on all sorts of things, and is a great source for all the chinese and japanese sauces that you could ever wish for. It's such a pleasure to have this wonderful supermarket so close to home!

I think they support really a wide variety of Asian necessities, so it's more geared for variety. If I want something in particular, I pretty much never find it here, or I find a weird brand I haven't tried. It's a really clean store and well organized. Staff are super friendly. The hot food table has a few options, plus there's a sushi stand, but I think the food is just so-so. We've not quite enjoyed the quality there, but I think it's fair to say that most of these types of eateries are not the best. They make everything in a large batch, and while some flavours hint at authenticity, the quality is quite meh. Again, great place to go for your basic necessities and pricing is fair.

Why I'm writing this review though, is because I need to tell my amazing plunger story. I bought a plunger. My toilet's been clogged for two days, and my old plunger caved in on me (literally caved in). Upon trying out the plunger from here ($5 plus tax), my toilet immediately unclogged. It took me one flush to get it unclogged. That has never happened to me before! Such a wonderful $5 find.

This location is crowded and I find a lot of times, things are out of stock. Or they simply don't have the same abundance of selections as other locations. There's times I can pick things up at the Scarborough/ Markham locations that I can't even find here (fruits, specials, clothing, etc). The staff here also aren't really quite as friendly. Few times we've had to interact with a cashier, they seemed a bit annoyed. They were giving us "teenage daughter" vibes.... you know when they roll their eyes and chew their gum and can't be bothered to make eye contact when telling you your total. We prefer self check out anyway so we just avoid interaction if we can. That's not to say ALL staff are like that. Just the ones we have unluckily had to deal with. The wait at the pharmacy is kinda long. Given the cost is better than at your regular pharmacy, I do think it's worth waiting if you're not covered by insurance.

I am unsure if Costco is really worth it for a small family like mine without a freezer. This location is always busy, like all the other Costco locations, but does offer ample parking.

They also sell exotic products imported from other countries, like exotic Pringles from Belgium. This location is huge and spacious! Much bigger than other locations I've been to. I like! They have more inventory than the one in Brockville too, which is the one I go to most often. It's in a strip mall with lots of free parking.
