My mind was blown as soon as I walked in. It was like Disneyland for me--but then again, I've only been in one Asian Market before this! I was surprised at how big the place is, and that it's not just a grocery store; about a third is household kitchenwares and some housewares. There is a good selection of American food in there, and I did notice a couple of the food items were cheaper than the PX. There is a huuuuge selection of drinks! I couldn't get over all the bottles and cans of teas and amazingness! By far, the Thai Iced Tea became my husband's new favorite since going there. We also ate at the deli in the store. We had kung pao and general tao's chicken. I'm a little disappointed the kung pao wasn't very spicy :( but the flavoring was great and the chicken wasn't overcooked or tasted like it had been sitting for a while like some places do. I was also surprised to see they give you miso soup with the meal--SO GOOD! The portions were great--I'm a light eater so my husband ended up eating one and two-thirds plates of food. We definitely felt like we never wanted to eat again there was so much food! This has become our Sunday outing store, whether it's to grab an item or two or eat lunch there. This place is always busy. I ordered the galbi and soft tofu soup and it's pretty good. The galbi meat was very tender and good. They put a lot of tofu in my soup, and I didn't know it had seafood in it. It's good, but i had better back in California. I also like the side dishes that comes with the meal. It varies through out the week. Although the wait is like 20 minutes or more to get your food to go, it gives me plenty of time to browse the store. To be clear, I'm just reviewing the deli. After a long day visiting Ft Hood, my co-workers and I wanted some chow before heading back to Austin. One of our party used to be stationed there and recommended we get some Korean food at O Mart. I'm always down for trying something new, so we trotted in. We all got the same thing, the dolsot bibimbap, and it was delicious. Piping hot bowl and all the good ingredients with a raw egg that sizzles once you stir. The spicy sauce was good too, almost sweet, but still had kick. The miso soup and kimchee were good, and we had more than enough food. The cashier was friendly and helpful. Like the only place in Killeen that sales Jajamyun , they are fast , it's a nice , spacious siting area available.. Not tv a or anything but me and my husband enjoy sitting down in there, sometimes they do have flies though.. But food is good. Also affordable. Hit & miss. Been going for years for good food & flavorful produce to make kimchi. Went once at night & most of the produce was rotten, molded badly, or unavailable. Took a bag of black carrots to one of the staff in the office in the front & had to convince him to take cause he was under the impression I was asking if I could buy it (no lie). This is a pretty big store with produce, groceries, a meat and seafood counter, barber and beauty shop, photo studio, restaurant and coffee bar. There are some foods I cannot get anywhere else, unless I am willing to drive an hour to another big Asian store. What I am not happy about is that the produce isn't always fresh. They will keep things in produce that are moldy, slimy or rotting. So, inspect everything very carefully. I have stopped buying seafood from them. I used to buy there regularly, but no more. One time last year I bought several pounds of shrimp and had to throw them out. They smelled rotten. They used to keep them under plenty of ice. And they didn't. And I noticed that had become the norm, so no more seafood from there. Unless it's prepackaged in their large frozen food section, I won't but it. read more

I like the selection, but the smell... Here's the deal, The Good: Really great selection and variety. Almost any Asian food you can think of is here. I can spend two hours just googling new products (I'm adventurous, to a point). The staff are helpful in their suggestions and are always keen to guide me to new stuff that won't give me nightmares. The Bad: The seafood and meat area smells like rotten fish. I've been to a fish monger, they don't smell like this. This smell is rank and seriously needs addressed. I don't care what you have, nothing should smell so bad that it stays in my nose for an hour. If you do sell smelly stuff you need to ventilate. A couple of fans and keeping the fish at the right temperature would be a great start. The Skinny: Go. You will go back. Just avoid the fish/meat area like the smelly plague it is. read more

Food court - let me save you from food poisoning don't eat here. We ordered galbi, bulgogi, fried fish, and soft tofu stew. The mushroom sidedish was extremely salty rendering it inedible. The cauliflower sidedish was spoiled - discovered after I swallowed a bite. I had the worst case of food poisoning later that day and still have intense stomach pain. The kids also had D. Being half Korean I love a good Asian market and restaurant. I'm not one to leave an unfavorable review (that's not my style). However, today I went to the restaurant and ordered to-go a #67 chicken teriyaki with rice + 6 gyoza and a #72 chicken yakisoba. I stood in line for 10 minutes then ordered at 11:52 a.m. I was back in my car by 12:19 p.m. Nearly 40 minutes for to-go order? This is waayyyy too long! Is it possible that to-go orders are placed on a lower priority? The food was fine but while eating I discovered a piece of paper with "# 39" on it in my yakisoba. It was drenched in sauce and had obviously been cooked with the noodles and vegetables while it was pan frying. If I wouldn't have noticed it I would have eaten it. I have included a few pictures. In the past I have also purchased the #5 beef bulgogi with rice and also the #39 yaki mandoo. In my opinion the bulgogi was the wrong kind of meat. I prefer rib eye thinly sliced marinated overnight preferably a few days since it creates a more flavorful dish. To me it doesn't seem like they marinate or maybe it's just the sheer volume that go through that they don't have time to do so as they are always busy. I have another spot that I go to if I want take out for bulgogi and rice or I just make it home. My concern is not the flavor of food it is the kitchen prep area for the cooks. If you're throwing paper from previous orders into other people's dishes there's something wrong there... A cleanliness and organizational issue. Paper does not equal food. I saw in another picture someone had a similar experience and I thought for sure "that would never happen to me..." But it did so check your food closely. read more

Marts like this are everywhere in NYC but since I've moved away, I haven't even seen one. It was so nice to be somewhere that sells such a large variety of Asian food. They have groceries, snacks, frozen products, cup noodles, the works. They even have a restaurant where my friend and I had dinner. She ordered the beef bulgogi while I ordered the bibimbap. It was not authentic. At all. But it was still pretty decent. I mean next to their "Korean menu" they had a fusion menu too- which I feel is pretty indicative of how authentic the food is going to be. They even serve (Korean side dishes), which I was so happy to see. The food also came out relatively quickly and the portions were pretty big. I barely finished my meal. I thought it was a little pricey, but it was worth it. It was nice to see that I was actually the only Korean person eating there. Everyone else was of a different ethnicity! The staff refused to cash out our purchases because I can not wear a mask or face shield for medical reasons. They want to make up thier own rules as to who they sale to. As I walked around the store many of their employees were not wearing their masks either correctly or at all. If they are not going to make the employees wear them they shouldn't ask anyone to wear them. read more

Omart food court customers service sucks!!! I'm giving it 1 start because not once but twice have I stand in line for almost an hour waiting for my order. Not only that I waited for that long the cashier come to find out she's the owners daughter was rude and sarcastic. Today which is Nov. 17. 2016 I just left Omarts food court after I stood in line for 30min. Customer who were standing in front of me didn't even get their order cause the cashier said all the cooks are out for lunch so all she can do is give her money back. The customer turned around and said to me that I probably won't get my order too..... so I asked the cashier she said oh no your fine your food comes from a different side of the kitchen. Best Korean Grocery in central Texas. Check out the butcher department. There you'll find fresh marinated meats like bulgogi, spicy chicken, kalbi, and pork. I buy pounds of this stuff, take it home with the vast varieties of kimchi, and drop it a skillet, cook and have a quick, Korean dinner with all my favorites. You'll find the lettuce leaves, chili paste and sticky rice there as well. I also like to purchase tea from here. They have the sweet lemon and honey tea in a jar - just add hot water. The seafood department has fresh variety of whole fish for grilling. The sushi is surprising fresh and tasty - much cheaper than Nami restaurant next door. I hear that when Nami runs out, they walk next door to OMart! After living in Korea for 2 years, this is most authentically Korean. Friendly, good variety of healthy selections, authentic Korean smell---in the good way. read more

I met koreans from dallas that drive 3 hours (6 hours round trip) to come here. I think some normal grocery items like plain milk and eggs are higher priced but you don't come here for that. you go to omart for the specialty items and foreign products that you just can't get at your average grocery store. I loved their pork bulgogi most. You can buy it at the restaurant inside or you can get it to take home and cook yourself.
