Lots of great unique finds here. The best is the pita bread, which they make fresh on site. Go early while it's still warm.

They are friendly and helpful and also suggest and recommend options. And dosas! I really like their dosas. And better yet, they sell dosa batter, if you don't want to, or know how to, ferment your own. I tried making dosas in a pan. Wasn't too successful making dosas within such a small cooking vessel, so I ended up making dosa pancakes instead. The dosas are served on a leaf positioned in a plastic tray. Grocery store itself is well-laid out. Themed aisles, white floors, very clean. Parking is aplenty.

Small discoveries completely and totally made your day such as watching a caterpillar turn into a butterfly or noticing a flower one day in the stage of a bulb and then the next as a full-blown flower.. Today I got to relive the wonderment of being a child at the Big bizarre farmers market. First, let's talk about the grains and seeds. I don't know how many times you've eaten dal or cumin or coriander and really didn't know what the original form of that seed. At the big bizarre farmers market i got an opportunity to see the original form of floods i have v eaten all my life. I was so captivated by seeing foods in their raw form. I cruised every aisle, carefully weaving back and forth, back-and-forth down every aisle until I got to the back of the store,.I noticed fruits and vegetables and some unusual ones like aloe vera and pearl onions. I have actually heard of pearl onions, but I don't know that I've ever seen a pearl onion in real life. So that's pretty cool. Ne, net, visiting the big bizarre farmers market was like going on a tour of a very unique grocery store. Totally loved it.... My cashier was very pleasant and she rang me up very quickly and packed my items into a bag and I was off. The staff was very friendly and one of the things that I have to point out is that the store was super clean, which I enjoyed. Prices were extremely affordable. I purchased turmeric, wheat vermicelli and peach green tea.

There are chips and salsa available as well. The tortillas are not of the home made variety. The prices are fair for the area and they do have Pepsi fountain drinks. Being that there's also a store portion there's plenty of other drinks too. The serve was fast and there are a few tables to eat there. As for the meat market they have everything you could want. I am partial to the beef for fajitas. Many of the Mexican wares and candies are available. They also have a variety of aguas frescas and churros. If you're looking for a Mexican market this is a great place to visit.

Then I worked my way to the cafe/kitchen. I ordered 2 beef tacos. My Spanish is very limited. The sweet woman helping me spoke zero English. There were a lot of outside workers enjoying their lunch. I ended up with 2 papusas. Not sure of the meat filling- looked like chicken. (LOL), then a gentleman spoke to me and this time I got 2 beef fajita tacos on nice fresh corn tortillas. I kept the papusas too. They offered refrigerated cases of soda pop including Jaritos and juices, they also had large containers of several flavors of Agua Fresca of which I ordered a Grande Mango flavor. You could get your beverage with milk added as well. Probably seating for 25. No menu-once I moved up in line I could not only smell but I could see the steam tables which faced the staff and were loaded with food. There were a handful of things I didn't recognize. What I did recognize was beef fajitas, beef lingua, tripe, caldo de res, refried beans, Mexican rice, fresh tortillas. I sat down and opened the 2 beef tacos and ate one. It was really good and I was full so took the rest home. They sure don't skimp on the beef!!!! There were lots of diners coming and going. Most of them were getting combination plates. I'm going to have to figure that out next time. I had asked for a side of frijoles, but I was likely confused because I think the beans and rice only came with combination plates. Anyway, I enjoyed my taco and I'll definitely go back after I polish up my Spanish a bit !!!!

We attended a drama that was sponsored by the store (see attached photo) and the experience was horrible. The event was badly managed by Hamir (the owner) and everything about it was 3rd class under his management: - Bad venue/neighborhood - No parking facility - No auditorium - Worst seating arrangement in a stinking hall; No chairs for seat numbers and tickets sold to us. - No respect for audience's time - Show started 1 hour and 20 minutes late. - Horrible audio - dialogs were simply not audible. - Poles in hall were blocking audience's view of the stage - Nobody understood Sanjay Goradia's dialog because the actor had bad throat issues. - Tickets were overly priced and sold at 50% discount at the venue Show was not worth going to even if tickets were free. Our group of 15 people left before intermission as it was a waste of time. And we all reached the conclusion that we will avoid all events brought by Manpasand.
