It is difficult to put into words the depth of our gratitude for Noopy. She came into our home…read moreduring the most challenging time of our lives and helped our family care for our mother in her last two weeks. Despite the difficult circumstances, Noopy provided care with incredible love and patience, treating our mother with the dignity and kindness she deserved. One of the greatest comforts was that Noopy is bilingual. Being able to communicate with our mother in Chinese was an absolute blessing; it eased our mother's anxiety and allowed for a connection that a non-Chinese speaker simply couldn't provide. Beyond caring for our mother, Noopy also provided immense support to the rest of the family. She was attentive to our needs, offered a comforting presence, and helped us navigate those final days with grace. We will never forget her compassion.

Every single individual that was on Aracelii ( RN and Case Manager) team was clear in their ability to explain processes, sensitive and compassionate when caring for my mother, highly aware and knowledgeable on the topic of pain management and the use of morphine, understanding of all types of issues when transitioning patients between levels of care and to and fro between inside operations and outside vendor/facilities. My mother faced a medical error and because of her reaction to not being given medication properly she faced an unimaginable situation that our family faced and needed help with. The facility she was housed at did not give the emergency care, nor did Sutter Home Health and ONLY when American Hospice stepped in did we uncover the problem. By then my mom had to face a traumatic experience. Without Aracelli's team and Hospice Spiritual Leader Mariah, my sister and I might of collapsed out of physical and emotional exhaustion. Right now I write I am grieving, I am forgetful of names, but I want give my thanks to all those who assisted my family maneuver the last weeks of my mothers life. There is one last note: After my mother left us, the young man who came to dress and prepare my mother for her last journey, was an angel. He made the process of washing and caring for my mother easier. He helped me hold her. This man, an LVN ( I believe) was not afraid of death. And, because of that we together were able to make my mother ready to see her 'maker'. God bless this young man for the job he does on a daily basis. This is a role no one thinks of and which is very very very important to family members who's culture includes preparing the body for heavenly transition. To conclude: Thank You To EVERYONE who CARED ENOUGH TO GIVE THEIR BEST TO OUR MOTHER IN HER LAST DAYS.

Three days prior to leaving for a week long vacation, my Mom started having some health issues and…read moreended up in ER. It quickly became obvious that I was going to need full-time in-home care for her during my absence. That evening, I made a phone call to Visiting Angels of Livermore. They offered to provide a full no-commitment assessment, and I accepted. The next day, Mr. Keith Beck, Executive Director, came to my home and evaluated Mom's situation and needs. Mr. Beck was on-time, professional, organized and efficient. Following the assessment, we were introduced to a recommended caregiver who, assuming my approval, would be responsible for Mom. She was professional, very conversational with Mom and an experienced caregiver. By the end of the appointments, I was confident that Mom would have good, comforting care while I was gone. I was extremely impressed that Visiting Angels responded so quickly, and was also able to provide and dedicate quality staff in a timely manner. I continued the caregiving services on a part-time basis after I returned home as Mom was still not quite stable. Another caregiver was introduced and assigned. After a couple of weeks of continued part-time care, Mom became much better and I was comfortable with stopping the services. I highly recommend Visiting Angels of Livermore. All of my experiences (and my Mom's) were positive. It is a very well managed business with a reliable, kind, and supportive team: owner, office staff, and caregivers. Thanks to Visiting Angels I was able to enjoy my vacation. I will definitely use them again when and if the need arises. If you are considering in-home care for a loved one, Visiting Angels of Livermore is it. An excellent Yelp score....5 Stars all the way!

Visiting Angels (Glendale)was a company my father and I were ready to invest in.He has alzheimers…read more/dementia and dealing with lymphoma. He is a retired police officer and It would cost alot for his care (24/7) ,but we had the funds set aside for his care. I know it's costly for home care, but we both agreed that these friendly folks would help us out.Price was not a problem. We made an appointment for the meet and greet home evaluation and get to know our new team members and our assistants. No one showed up at the appointmeant that they promised us in the beginning.I guess that $200,000 set aside for his companionship and round the clock care went down the drain. Him and I are going to use another home health care company since Visiting Angels has decided not to follow throug.

My super Dad, who will be 90 soon, is the main reason she's still around and healthy. But he just survived a mild stroke and physically, he's not as strong as my Mom. As their children, we spent a lot of time helping them but with dementia, it's a very difficult and emotionally exhausting ordeal to handle. We were beyond lucky to have found J&M Home care service; especially Susan. Susan is a super bright lady who has a deep sense of compassion, empathy, patience and the knowledge of the disease. Within a couple months under Susan's care, both my parents' health have improved significantly. My Mom seems so much happier and those moments of her feeling frustrated and feared have reduced significantly. With My Mom's health improving, it has helped my Dad and the rest of us feeling so much lighter and happier. What special about Susan is that, even though my Mom speaks mainly Vietnamese and Susan speaks English, the love, care, understanding and compassion Susan has for my Mom overcomes any language barrier. I am so grateful for Susan and her heart. We are taking each day we have with our parents as a blessing. We pray that Susan will stay with my parents, especially my Mom, for a while. Sometimes, God sent an angel to us in a form of a beautiful and wonderful lady! Based on our experience with Susan, we highly recommend J&M Homecare Service to those who are looking for a trusted care taker to look after our loved ones!

That advice was 99% true. The 1% where it wasn't true was J&M Homecare Services. Constance was truly empathetic to our Friday night plight, and came over early on Saturday morning to assess our needs. She was caring and compassionate and really wanted to help us. She guided me through the process and the forms. They clearly have experience working with Long Term Care insurance companies and have an easy to follow process to help you get reimbursed. She immediately reached out to her scheduling team and I received a call that afternoon trying to schedule someone for the very next day. By then we were scrambling and had found help through a family friend, but still needed someone for Monday. On Sunday their scheduling expert had found someone for Monday. They worked during the weekend to try and fulfill our needs and the four other companies we tried calling on Friday all said they'd talk to us on Monday. Monday came and our provider was great. My mother was in the final stages of the dying process and our aide helped us clean, bathe and dress her without a second thought. My mother passed peacefully soon after. Watching a loved one pass on in front of you is a very emotionally trying experience, but having last minute help made an unbearable situation feel slightly less horrible. I had only one short experience with the person who came to care for my loved one, but the effort the company put forth fulfilling our needs at the last minute on the weekend feels like an industry exception. I would absolutely recommend J&M Homecare Services.
