As a walk in, I waited about 15 minutes at the front desk just to get an answer on whether they could fit me in. It felt like there should have been a quicker way to determine availability. I was also surprised by the $2 sanitation fee. It's not the amount that bothers me it's the principle. Maintaining clean, sanitized tools and equipment should be a standard part of doing business, not an extra charge passed on to customers. To me, that's simply part of the service I'm already paying for. The quality of the pedicure was great, but the wait and additional fee left me with mixed feelings about the experience. I don't believe I will be back.

When I questioned it, the front desk employee said, "Oh, I don't know then," until a nail tech came over and explained it was because I asked for my nails to be shorter. Since when is trimming the length of your nails not included in a manicure? I was then told that only cuticle trimming is included, which makes absolutely no sense. If asking for your nails to be shortened results in an extra charge, that should absolutely be disclosed when the nail tech asks if you'd like them shorter. Better yet, it should be clearly listed on the website or service menu, which it isn't. Springing surprise fees on customers at checkout is not good business. To make matters worse, both the manicure and pedicure were subpar and definitely not worth the price. The customer service was just as disappointing, from the confusion at the front desk to the lack of any reasonable explanation. I chose not to leave a tip because the quality of both services and the customer service simply didn't warrant one. It's unbelievable that this salon was willing to lose a brand new customer over a $5 charge that should have been disclosed or better yet, never charged in the first place.

The issue is this: when you get a pedicure you're presented with different spa treatments to choose from. The prices listed on these treatments breakdown what is included, or what is supposed to be included in the price. However, when you go to pay for services, the prices increases and you are told that the extra charge is because one opted for gel polish over standard. It's happened twice to me and it doesn't make sense at all. If the spa treatment you choose automatically states that one gets gel polish, scrub, massage, and a paraffin wax dip for $55 as an example, it should be $55 in cost before any tip is added. However, at the counter the price increases, which is closer to $100. This is frustrating because what you see if not necessarily what you get per se, so you have to really pay attention to the spa treatment options and make sure you ask about any extra charges post service.

I specifically asked for a simple eyebrow cleanup, but the technician removed far more hair than she should have. When I expressed my concern, the technician insisted she had not made a mistake, despite the obvious difference in my eyebrows. I then spoke with the manager, hoping the situation would be taken seriously. Initially, it felt like my concerns were being dismissed. After I removed my glasses so she could get a closer look, I was simply offered a discount for a future visit. I found that response unacceptable given the extent of the mistake. I had an event to attend that same day, and instead of feeling confident, I left feeling embarrassed and upset. While I appreciate the excellent pedicure service, the handling of my eyebrow appointment and the lack of accountability afterward have ensured that I will not be returning. I hope management takes customer concerns more seriously in the future and provides better training and customer service when mistakes occur.
