She takes great care of me and it was a full skin evaluation with some treatment. She is professional, speaks good English, and extremely reasonable with her rates. Her office is clean and right in the middle of town and her assistance are very nice, professional, and helpful. I would highly recommend and not sure why there are any negative reviews against her. She is an outstanding doctor!q

I asked if there would be a hole left. She said there would be no hole and only one stitch. After the procedure, she told me put in 3 stitches. After the scan fell off; there was a huge hole. She told me not to have the stitches removed for 10 days. When I returned to Canada, 3 separate doctors told me the stitches should be removed in 5-7 days. 2 doctors were confused why she prescribed me an antibiotic which was delaying healing. One doctor advised against the follow up cream she prescribed. Now, 6 weeks later, the wound has healed. But it had healed as a hole, with a giant noticeable scar. It is 100% worse than the non-noticeable mole. I am in film work, and lost work because of this. She never explained any possible negative outcomes. She never explained how long the healing process would be. I will have to go for plastic surgery to have this fixed. I am currently on a wait list. The psychological nightmare continues daily. I swing between servere depression and anxiety over this. Castillon will not refund me my money and has stooped responding to me. As far as I am concerned, this is medical malpractice. I am seeking legal action for financial compensation.

*** Please note that Yelp updated the address to the main (official) location, however this review…read moreis for the smaller clinic located just steps from the tourist beach in Sayulita, at Manuel Navarrette #3 (Col. Centro), between Calle Gaviota & Delfines. My guess is that Dr. Chavez is here most days during the high tourist season. *** I cannot say enough about Dr. Chavez in Sayulita! During a mid-February family vacation (we were there Feb 13-20, 2016), my husband woke up aching and with tremendous joint pain. We walked down the hill into Sayulita centro to ask around and were immediately directed to this little pharmacy/ doctor's office-clinic on Manuel Navarette close to the beach (between Calle Gaviota & Delfines). Dr. Chavez, who speaks excellent English, gave hubby a thorough check-up, assessed him as having walking pneumonia, and then prescribed (and filled) all the necessary meds. He asked us to return the next day so that he could (free of charge) do a follow-up to ensure all was well. All this cost us ~ $45 out of pocket, and I am now a big believer in the economies of the Mexican health care system! But when Dr. Chavez really saved us was the next day... in the middle of the night, our very petite 5yo started violently vomiting and was unable to keep down anything, including liquids, for the rest of the night. Early the next morning, after a sleepless and worry-filled night (I started making mid-night phone calls, but without a car and no clinics picking up, we weren't really sure what to do so I just walked around our rental with my daughter dozing on my shoulder), we carried our weakened little girl down the hill to Dr. Chavez. When we arrived, Adrianna, one of his pharmacists, was just opening up shop and she said it would be an hour before the doctor would arrive. I quickly explained the situation in my broken Spanish, and she called Dr. Chavez who arrived immediately. Food poisoning was deemed to be the culprit. To cut the story short, Dr. Chavez took good care of my little one- she was extremely dehydrated so we spent 6 hours on the couch in the back of his clinic while they pumped fluids & meds through an IV to get our little one back to health. He and his staff made sure to take care of everything: entertaining an extremely bored little girl (once she started feeling better), and making all the arrangements with my travel insurance so that I didn't have to worry about a thing (or see a bill). At the end of our stay, after filling all the necessary prescriptions, he even drove us back in his personal vehicle to our rental. He even provided me with his personal cellphone number and an invitation to call, even in the middle of the night, if needed. He wanted to see our LO the next day and she got a clean bill of health: 100% back to normal. For the rest of our stay after, our little girl insisted on detouring to Dr. Chavez's clinic everyday on the way to the beach to say hello (and pick up a lollipop-- or two, LOL!) to the kind dr! It was a scary experience for sure (foreign country, middle of the night, our precious child ill), and I'm not sure what we would have done without the kindness of Dr. Chavez! We are forever grateful to him!!

I showed up at her bedside a few hours after the emergency operation (which saved her life!) and stayed with her for 2 days in her room. Francisco Zamora in accounting was excellent with his billing help and kept me up to date with the insurance issues that have now been resolved. Thanks CMQ!!! Steve von Prisk

I walked in very much in pain and distress and was immediately greeted by a young man in a lab coat who listened with concern and kindness and agreed I definitely needed a chest x ray. His English was excellent. I indeed had rib fractures and he offered a CT scan and iv pain medication. I politely declined as I was paying cash and needed to have a clear mind to Uber home. He offered a pain injection and I gladly took him up on it. The lovely gentleman was actually Dr Carlos and I was very impressed with the care I received from checking in, the radiologist, the nurse and of course Dr Carlos. There was no hard sell of services. I had 2 view xrays, consult, pain injection, written prescriptions for pharmacy for 186$ US dollars. This was actually cheaper than my co- pay in the states for urgent care. I just want to reiterate how fantastic my visit went, the professional services I had were very much appreciated and I needed to put a great review out for great service!!! Thank you Dr Carlos and team
