Omega took care of our kitchen/dining room renovation last year in Apr/May. We had some issues with previous contractors (communication, showing up on time, vague change orders) so we were nervous. These were not problems that we had with Omega. From the beginning, Wayne and Roy showed up on time, were extremely reassuring and reasonable. They we're also patient. John, the project manager and his brother Charlie were on top of everything, managing the subcontractors, making sure all of the details were taken care of. The guys at Zefi Plumbing and TriCat Electric were top of the line as well. Even 5 months later, when we had a concern...they were right on top of it and resolved it right away. I would have posted this review sooner but we've just been really enjoying our new space. It's so well designed and perfect that I'm still amazed that we have that much space in our house. The Omega team just finished renovating our basement and we couldn't be happier with the result. We talked to a few different contractors before getting started but always had trouble getting clarity on the project and realistic pricing; Wayne and Roy however were straight shooters from the start. Ultimately, the finished product is great and exactly what we hoped for. Omega did an excellent job renovating my sister's home, so I decided to hire them for my new home renovations (including kitchen, bathroom, fireplace, painting, lights, etc.) in February 2021. Wayne, Roy, and the entire team were wonderful throughout the process. Pricing was reasonable and straightforward. Communication was quick and easy. They offered practical suggestions on how to optimize space and cost. They were extremely accommodating with additional asks that came up in the middle of renovation (ex: installing baby gate, tv installation, additional painting), and still managed to complete everything by my targeted move-in date. Most importantly, their quality of work was exceptional, and they were able to help me complete my vision of modernizing my colonial house. A few really positive things that stuck out to me throughout the process: - I received a detailed breakdown of all costs on a weekly basis. This was much appreciated. - When I decided to use my own subcontractors for specific tasks (ex: floors, closets), they were extremely accommodating and helped me coordinate with them. - As things inevitably popped up throughout the process, they were quick to communicate and find solutions. - Months after move-in, they helped me resolve a minor issue. We took ownership of a home in Scarsdale (Feb 2021) that was built by Omega and is still being shown on Omega's website (don't judge a book by it's cover). Six weeks after we moved into the house, everything started to fall apart and continues to do so 1 year later. From the electrical, kitchen, HVAC, sheetrock, flooring, bathrooms/flooding and fireplaces, we have spent over $100K to get everything up to code and safe to live in for our family. Sloppy and shoddy work. After we recieved zero response from Omega after serving them a Demand letter from our lawyers, we decided to correctly and professionally correct the myriad of mistakes by Omega and their subcontractors. It is scary to think that Omega would be okay with building a house so sloppy, not up to code, while they still receives permits and build homes. Omega will do a job for less than other contractors, but you get what you pay for, and we ended up with a lemon. It's truly unethical. The amount of money, stress and unsafe conditions Omega has caused for our family is truly incredulous. They could care less and probably will laugh all the way to the bank for years to come for doing subpar work. read more

I'm not one for online reviews and can count on one hand the amount times I've reviewed a company. I rarely care enough to take the time to write a review but obviously this time is different. My experience with Wayne and Omega Construction was Exceptional !! - to the point that my wife start crying tears of joy when she finally saw the final product. As new homeowners we made some questionable decisions with some of the first contractors we let into our house so naturally we were unsure about starting another project. I took a leap of faith after meeting with Wayne and am glad I did. Wayne is honest, fair and focused on delivering a quality product, and I can say the same for the entire team. I'm not going to go into every detail of the project but I knew I didn't have to worry. The guys at Omega were respectful, professional and just 'good people' - to the point where I would feel comfortable letting them watch my 2 and half year old son (And I'm not just saying that because I have been stuck at home with him for 4 months and just need a day without him). If I haven't made my point yet, let me say this. Before the project was even finished my wife and I felt comfortable enough to start our next project because it was such a great experience and without hesitation that project went to Wayne because we only asked him because we knew he would take care of us. We used Wayne and his crew for our full kitchen remodel! We are in love with our new kitchen it far surpassed our expectations! There were some challenges with subcontractors but Wayne's guy on our job, John and Charlie were incredible. The owner of Omega Group - Roy Howard completely botched my construction job. He took monies upfront to pay subcontractors and then failed to pay them. In addition he failed to complete the job. The work he did complete was of poor quality. He has been sued by other customers and recently filed bankruptcy under another company name. read more

We just had Omega do our kitchen remodel as well as our bannister. They were great. We are very happy with the job they did and everyone was very professional and got back to us each time we called. Things took longer but not their fault, due to COVID and it all eventually came together. We would definitely use them again. Thank you. We had such an incredible experience working with Roy and Wayne. When the first contractor we hired to renovate our kitchen and living spaces backed out two days before the job was supposed to start due to a family emergency, we felt lost...with a garage full of materials. We finally found RLH and feel as if the whole ordeal was meant to be! From start to finish this team is first class - organized, accurate, on time, communicative and focused on quality work. If something wasn't perfect, Roy wouldn't even wait for me to notice - he'd see it on a walk through and get it redone. My wife and I joke that Roy and Wayne are one of the few contractors in Westchester who understand the aesthetic and collaboration/communication style of Manhattan-converts moving to the suburbs. We've worked on several jobs together and they are always forthcoming in their quoting and deliver on time and on budget barring unforeseen circumstances.
