Using sonogram, electro therapy, massage and exercises I am finally making significant progress following rotator cuff surgery. I switched from a fancy upscale Physical Therapy facility where I was neglected by the staff. I did exercises, was put on a timer and left. No one paid attention to my correct execution of the exercise. Kinetic Plus is a Christian facility. Soothing and uplifting music is played while you can pray for healing if that's your thing. This is a place that feels homey and yet they take their patient care very seriously. They are located in a crappy shopping strip and you would never guess this place would be any good based on location alone. If you are serious about getting back in motion I suggest you give them a call. I was referred here by my Chiropractor 8 years ago for frozen shoulder so I already trusted Kinetic Plus since they fixed my shoulder once before.They remain consistent. If you've had good physical therapy before, you'll recognize bad physical therapy when you see it no matter how fancy and computerized the place is.

They were recommended to me by a KHS baseball coach who had his 2nd shoulder rehab here. He told me if he had to do it all over again he would have done them both here. I'm 45 and take fitness seriously now that father time is taking his toll on me. I workout 3-5 days per week either strength training or high intensity sprint interval training for cardio. I had a 360 type II slap tear in my left labrum that required 7 anchors to repair. After 5 weeks in a sling, I began rehab at Kinetic Plus. I took my rehab very seriously and committed to the exercises that Paul recommended on days I wasn't at Kinetic Plus. After 9 weeks 3 x per week of rehab, at my followup doctors appointment (Dr Fahl) I was told that my range of motion and strength was where they expect their patients to be at 14-16 weeks. I was floored. They then proceeded to tell me to make sure now to take it easy....i.e. I was almost too far along for my own good. They didn't want me reinjuring it. Pretty incredible results. While at Kinetic Plus, I bumped into other people that I know who were rehabbing there also (a former KHS baseball player playing at Sam Houston and a former Bearkadette both of whom said their entire families have always used Paul). Outside of Kinetic Plus, I met 3 other people who have done rehab there all of whom had amazing results. One of those friends had a frozen shoulder that Paul fixed which kept her from surgery. Another friend said he calls him "St Paul the miracle worker." The staff are all extremely hands on, friendly and genuinely care about your progress. The patient to staff ratio is never more than 2:1 even when they are busy. The big rehab places with all the fancy equipment can't even get close to this. Your session is also not on a timer where no matter where you are in your session it's done after 75 minutes. They will take as much time with you as needed and are all extremely encouraging. They don't answer their phone and won't return calls. After a cursory assessment visit, the therapist gave me a few simple exercises to do at home and told me to return in ten days. I am lucky if I get three sessions a month, even with insurance pre-approval for three sessions per week. My recovery is delayed due to them, and I am actively seeking a better facility.

Gigi also did the kinesio taping, which really supported my shoulder well as it was getting stronger. I went to ten sessions, 7 at the old location on 249 and the last 3 at the new location. Her and her staff were fantastic. The only reason I'm deducting a star is because I do not care for the new location. It is VERY cramped and dark with no windows, like a dungeon, and the layout is quite strange. To get there you have to walk down a long, long hallway through another doctor's waiting room, then finally you get to the equipment way in the back by the emergency exit. I know she probably moved to this new office to save on rent, but it's a big step down from the bright, roomy clinic she had before. I would still return for PT with her, however.

By the time I began treatment with Dr. Siton I had already completed extensive treatments at UCLA Med. Center and Physical Therapy. My prior care givers told me that nerve tissue does not regenerate and I likely wouldn't regain full strength. Dr. Siton clarified that although nerve tissue doesn't regenerate, the body has millions of other pathways that can replace damaged ones. She was right and I regained complete health. In 2011, I experienced what the best doctors in Houston and The Mayo Clinic in MN told me was a relapse of CIDP. My only treatment recommended was the use of pain killers. I then again sought help from Dr. Siton. After several months of therapy, proper nutrition, adequate water consumption and hard work, I regained my complete health and achieved the highest level of physical fitness in over 20 years. Dr. Siton is a straight talker and has a diverse educational and experience background that I believe enables her to quickly see the root cause of a patient's ailment(s) and shares her observations in real time. Finally, Dr. Siton and her Team at Holistic Physical Therapy (HPT) create a positive, safe and friendly environment to support healing and improvement. I recommend my family and friends to HPT whenever they may need such help.

I shattered my ankle/lower leg in a freak accident in the middle of August 2016…read more I saw Dr Kant initially at the Red Oak location, but was referred to Dr Miller as he is the resident "ankle specialist" at the Dotson/Willowbrook office. I required surgery to reconstruct/reset my ankle & lower leg bones. Dr Miller is a smart guy, seems younger than average for his role & knowledge, but most importantly, he did a four hour surgery & reconstructed my ankle using three plates & 28 screws, and it went off without a hitch. No errors, infections, issues. It's been two weeks since the surgery & I'm amazed at how good everything looks & how well it's healing. I followed all of his instructions & am on track to be able to walk again before Thanksgiving as a result of his efforts & my following instructions. The nursing staff here has been equally wonderful - knowledgable, available, empathetic, helpful, and friendly. I'm about a third of the way through my recovery, but the worst parts of it are over & right now is really about recovery & physical therapy - I'm very impressed at how it's all being handled at this location. The front desk employees can be hit and miss; some are friendly & helpful, I've also encountered aloof & ridiculous. There's also the issue that the front desk charges $30 GD dollars to sign your short term disability form...can't file without a signature, won't sign without the money. Highway robbery. Don't worry though. Wait, skip the front desk, and talk to the surgeon's nurse. They'll hook you up with a signature for your docs for free. (As it should be.) #lifehack

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Dr. Hulen's office. I was referred back to him by…read morethe orthopedic surgeon who performed my rotator cuff surgery because I continue to wake up with my arm numb and my fingers tingling. Given my symptoms, I expected a thorough evaluation and continuity of care. This was not my first visit with Dr. Hulen. I have seen him before, and during that visit I felt my pain was dismissed. Despite my ongoing symptoms and prior MRI findings, I was told that I was "fine." I am clearly not. At this most recent appointment, I informed the medical assistant that I had already undergone X rays this year and multiple MRIs. I specifically explained that my previous imaging and the radiologist's diagnostic reports were already in my medical record. Rather than reviewing my chart or looking at the existing imaging reports, my concerns were disregarded. No effort was made to determine what testing had already been completed or what the radiologist had already documented before insisting that I have another $250 X ray. There was no meaningful discussion about whether another X ray was medically necessary. Had anyone reviewed my records, they would have seen that I already have documented cervical spine abnormalities, including a curved cervical spine, bone spurs, and multiple MRIs. X rays do not show soft tissue or nerves and do not diagnose a pinched nerve. I asked how another X ray would change my diagnosis or treatment plan. My question was never answered. Instead, I was told that if I declined the X ray, I needed to find another doctor. Rather than reviewing my records, performing a physical examination, or explaining why another X ray was medically necessary, I was denied an evaluation and told to seek care elsewhere. The lack of continuity of care is unacceptable. A physician should review a patient's history, imaging, radiology reports, referral, and current symptoms before deciding what additional testing is needed. I was referred by my orthopedic surgeon because I wake up with my arm numb and my fingers tingling. Instead of evaluating those symptoms, I was turned away without an examination. I continue to experience significant pain, numbness, and tingling that interfere with my daily life. As a Black woman, this experience reinforced what far too many Black women experience in healthcare. Our pain is too often dismissed or minimized. This is now the fourth provider I have seen within this practice, and each time I have left feeling that my symptoms were not taken seriously. One final thought. Ending appointments with "God bless" rings hollow when a patient leaves feeling unheard, dismissed, and denied an evaluation. Compassion is demonstrated through actions, not words. If a practice chooses to invoke faith, then it should also embody the principles of compassion, justice, and treating every patient with dignity and respect. I expected evidence based, patient centered care. Instead, I left feeling unheard, dismissed, and without the care I was referred to receive. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this practice.
