I wanted to share my review of Dr. Pickel and Jill Wooten NP. They just helped me get through two babies (one in 2024 one in 2026). A little background I am a late thirties, teacher, African American woman with a history of multiple miscarriages. When I came to Omega, I just wanted answers about why I was having so many losses and what my next steps were. Dr. Pickel and Jill had every test ran on me and gave me recommendations and referrals to specialist. I got pregnant with my first baby and I was able to get an appointment every time (because I was super cautious so I came in for every little thing). I had this same amazing care my second pregnancy as well. Jill and Dr. Pickel were literally my dream team, both pregnancies. I received extra care and attention throughout both pregnancies whether it was blood work, extra monitoring or extra appointments. While they were amazing during my pregnancy, they didn't stop my care after both pregnancies. They are also making sure to check my blood work going forward and make sure I keep up with all of my women things. I have truly been blessed to have Jill and Dr. Pickel as my care team for my babies and going forward. Truly thankful for the attention to detail and care i received while at Omega. read more

HORRIBLE experience. Had a new patient appointment, went in early , checked in and nothing spectacular was fine, was taken back and told to get ready for physician assistant. Waited 30 minutes, they forgot about me. Never gave me an update or checked to see if I was ok. Got dressed and walked out, was told the Doctor is running late from hospital. This is the worst obgyn office! Originally wanted to be seen for tubal and ablation and got so much push back to just use birth control then finally got the tubal and ablation well the ablation didn't work and I have been in an on going battle to have a hysterectomy and had to jump thru so many hoops to get to that point and once they agreed to do it, it was like one thing after another as to why it wasn't getting scheduled. Would not recommend going here. It is impossible to get ahold of anyone, and you end up playing phone tag. They sent a prescription (one that I DON'T need-I need the OTHER prescription refilled) to the WRONG pharmacy, without even informing me on ANYTHING. When I finally got ahold of someone today and expressed my concern, she had a very sarcastic rude tone. I've been dealing with an infection for half a year and this place is not helping-they even told me my infection was gone after a Pap smear, and it wasn't! The reviews for this place are misleading ! The reception and staff here are so amazing and sweet. They explain everything to you and give you all of the information you need. I give no stars! I was asked to leave when I showed up with my children. what does a mom do with her children? they could t even be in the waiting room. Receptionist was very unprofessional and talked across the whole room about needing to leave or the children before they could see me. How did I get checked in and didn't notice my children? Horrible bedside care and processes. I called to make an appointment on a recurring issue. I emphasized to the front desk that I did not want to see the Nurse Practitioner that I had seen a few times before and did not care for the outcomes and results and how much I was rushed. When I arrived for my appointment was at 10:15. I spent more time talking to the Medical Assistants than the NP. I was done and back in my car by 10:28. I explained my issues and they dismissed saying that is not the reason and then did not give any thoughts of what it could be. When you go to the doctor's office the patient should not be the one offering and give the doctor ideas of what the diagnosis is. I called and spoke to the office manager as to why I saw the NP when I asked not to and she informed me that if the OBGYN is pulled away due to a delivery at the hospital the NP would step in. Completely understandable, however I wish someone would have informed me who I would be seeing then I would have rescheduled. I understand that the front desk and back office duties are separate and was not trying to blame the front office, the manager then continued to repeat herself and give me an attitude. I have had similar experiences like this for over two years and tried to empathize with the overwhelming environment of healthcare and the amount of patients. But to speak to the NP for a ongoing issues for all of 3 minutes is ridiculous. read more

I had a really bizarre first experience there. They have you fill out a paper to say whether or not you agreed to see a physicians assistant if the doctor's not there. Why do they give you the option? It became this big thing with the receptionist yelling across the room repeatedly about me saying no I didn't agree to see a physicians assistant. She kept asking me well did I understand that if the doctor was delivering a baby then I'd have to reschedule. And I kept asking her is the doctor here. What the hell are we talking about? When I was taken to the back three other people circled and questioned me about saying no I didn't agree to see a physicians assistant. Then the doctor came back to talk to me about the choice that I made on the paper. They kept saying I had questions about the paper - and I kept telling them I didn't have any questions I could read the paper perfectly well, I made my choice, and I understood the first 12 times they told me that if the doctor wasn't there that I would need to reschedule, although the doctor was there. Left a bad taste in my mouth. Then the doctor came and started asking me about it. I finally asked the doctor whether she was going to look at my private parts (I said it more crudely) I was for my annual or not because she was obviously there. Ugh. The doctor seems responsive to messages sent through the portal, but I thought these folks were crazy on that day. read more

I Have been seeing one of the doctors here for a while she is amazing and I love talking to her but I recently called to schedule an appointment to get my birth control taken out due to severe depression. The lady was so rude on the phone once I answered all she said was "hello" and then I stated my name and she finally asked my DOB ...I asked for an afternoon appointment due to my job availability then when I tried to explain my situation after saying "well never mind, maybe we can..." I was hung up on. I immediately started crying and got scared... now I just feel stuck with it because I'm scared to call back and advocate for myself since the lady was so mean... I just want one doctor to care about what I say. It seems so difficult these days... The staff is terrible here. read more

Terrible!! My daughter is 29 weeks pregnant and diabetic. Nurse Practitioner Jill has rude bedside manner. Tried to shame her for being diabetic. She was referred to a High Risk doctor who understands diabetes and is working to help her keep it under control, however, her work schedule is interfering with her being able to eat properly for the baby. Her blood sugar has dropped below 50 several times. Thank God not while driving or at work After speaking to Jill about using her short term disability through afflac (to which she agreed), my daughter paid money to have the paperwork filled out, she refused to do it. She caused my daughter to have a panic attack and told her she needed a therapist. She said women in third world countries work all the way until they deliver. Last time I checked we were not a third world country. My daughter pays for her insurance and paid for delivery and is now looking for a new doctor halfway through her pregnancy as we don't trust her to care for my daughter and definitely not my first grand baby! She told my daughter that it wasn't their problem. I have looked it up and she has spoken with AFFLAC and her high risk doctor who both agree this is best for her, but they continue to refuse to fill out the paperwork. read more

Tried to book with a Dr that I have seen years ago after moving back into the state. The booking process and customer service during book was terrible. Dr. Gordon is the best! He has made every appointment easy and non-stressful and is very funny. He explains everything clearly and with my being pregnant for the first time, I have questions like crazy and he never makes me feel dumb for asking them! Great doctor, staff and office. read more

I started coming here in 2018 and have almost always seen Dr. Holly. However, Dr. Holly would make me feel like appointments are rushed, unimportant, and would frequently speak in a condescending tone, which felt very insulting and unprofessional. The day I got my nexplanon arm implant I was alone as a quiet 19 year old, and while the insertion is a very simple procedure I was nervous since it was the most invasive procedure I'd ever experienced. As Dr. Holly was telling me the steps, my nervousness was met with, "you know I'm not forcing you to do this. You chose to get this done." All I will say is that she is lucky I was the reserved and respectful young adult I was at the time because if it would have happened today rather than 3 years ago I would have had some *spicy* words for her. That appointment was fall of 2019 and left me very reluctant to come back at the expense of my own wellbeing. Trying to schedule an appointment after that was near impossible with my schedule because earliest availability was always at least 4 months away. Fast forward to 2022, I kept getting sick and by summer decided to change my entire routine and put my wellbeing first. This included trying to book my 3 year replacement for my birth control with a DIFFERENT doctor. I was told in August 2022 that the earliest appointment for any doctor wasn't until January 2023. My birth control was due to be replaced November 2022 and after playing phone tag for a couple weeks I was magically able to somehow secure an appointment in September, only because I said I had concerns I wanted addressed immediately. I was unable to get a new doctor so soon, so I agreed to see the nurse under Dr. Holly and was able to schedule my BC replacement for early October. My family and I ended up having to switch insurance on short notice, leaving me unable to make my appointment and upon trying to reschedule, I was told I'm not able to come in until January. Again. I have plenty more bones to pick with the office but will be sparing the details since I've already written a short novel but to sum it up, my experience with this company and their staff have been awful. If you ever get to see Dr. Stephanie Pickel better have your questions written down or really have them memorized because she will not be there in the exam room more than 10 min. This is the most disrespectful and horrible place. After having a biopsy done somewhere else the nurse called me and said that I had a growth and that I'd need to see a specialist but to come in to talk to the Dr. After $150 visit fee (I'm self employed) and waiting almost two hours (more money lost) the Dr. told me exactly what the nurse told me over the phone. I was worried and scared, you keep thinking the worse, I had lots of questions and he had the same answer for everyone of them: You need to find a specialist. I have mixed emotions about my 2 star review. Dr. Morgan and April are amazing! The office staff on the other hand is TERRIBLE. After being booked at the wrong location twice (causing me to miss the appointments-delaying bf my diagnosis even more) I was snake to get in and get blood work and an ultra sound. Two weeks have passed and no one has called with results and I call only to find out my bloodwork was processed for pregnancy not even my thyroid which was why it was taken. The "nurse" who returned my call was rude and kept interrupting me when I was trying to explain my confusion. I have to find a new Dr. things shouldn't be this difficult. read more

I've been humiliated by Tami at the Mansfield location. I made an appointment for a iud check up. I was experiencing some cramping but was not sure if my symptoms were normal. The office manager Tami was forcing a problem appointment in which would not be covered by my insurance. I told her several times I'm not sure if there is a problem and I would like an annual check up instead( since that would be covered by my insurance). She then was telling me I would have to reschedule because my appointment was for a problem appointment. I explained to her I drove an hour from Plano and if I could be seen that day. After going back and forth with me, trying to get $140 for the visit. She finally allowed me to get an annual check up. She told me if I did have a problem related to my IUD I would have to pay for the visit. I told her I would be ok with that. She made me feel like a liar and that I'm just trying to avoid the visit fee my insurance wouldn't cover. After I was seen everything was normal. Dr. Pickles nurse prescribed me a antibiotic due to a minor bacteria I had. Her nurse did not mention the bacteria. I asked her a question and she said it was minor and prescribed me antibiotic. Which resulted in Tami being able to make my whole appointment a "problem appointment" and charged me $140. She was aggressive and loud she embarrassed me in front of other patients. She would clearly talk about my situation and visit with other staff members in front of me. I just felt humiliated. I was not informed that Dr. Pickles nurse prescribing me medication (antibiotic) would cause me to get charged. I suggest anyone looking for a friendly doctors office staff to stay away from the Mansfield office. Tami was finally able to pin me for what she wanted. Even though she was wrong about me having a problem with my iud. I should have never asked the nurse a question to get prescribed antibiotic and get charged. I spoke with Cassandra from the omega billing department and she kept giving me wrong medical information and was being rude, unhelpful and even raised her voice on me. She was not sincere about Tami falsely noting I wanted a sonogram due to extreme IUD pain. This whole situation has been extremely crazy. I've never experienced this before. I'm not a rude person nor would I lie. Tami told me if there is a problem with my IUd I would be charged even though I was going for an annual. I would be more than willing to pay the 140 if my iud had an issue but I asked the nurse a question. I've been pushed with incorrect information and have been mistreated by that office. It hurts me because I'm not able to do much but write this review. I hope this gives you an idea on how this office is managed. read more

I love my Doctor... Dr. Oladell. But the ladies who verify insurance and work the front are frustrating. I called the day before my appointment wanting to verify how much u would have to pay because I know my insurance changed, and they verified it wrong the previous visit. The lady who answered gets my name and info pulls up my account and says it's covered at 100%. Okay, great... I told her I had new insurance and she didn't let me give it to her and repeated herself that it's covered 100% and that it was verified. I get to the office the day of my appt, today, and after she verified it she calls me up and proceeds to tell me that it's going to be over $100.... so I went from being 100% covered to over $100. Not only could I not afford that today. They don't do payment plans. So I couldn't be seen today. After taking off work and everything. So now, I lost hours at work, and couldn't be seen by the doctor and had to reschedule for a later date. My doctor, awesome. The office staff, not. The only reason I come back is because I would rather not change doctors. But if they can't have competent people working the front that makes it difficult. If you schedule an appt, I would have them verify twice and get the persons name who does it. Incredibly frustrated with them as I am sitting in their parking lot writing this. read more

I love this office and the fact that they are so professional. Wait times are normal considering it's a doctor's office. The patients scheduled before you could have more detailed issues. Great doctors but the office is run terribly. Hours say 8-5 but if you call before 8:45 you won't get ahold of office staff. You get directed to a call center that can only handle rescheduling appointments. My appointments here can take 2-3 hours, half of which is spent in the waiting room. During my last appointment I even overheard my own doctor complain about the office staff mismanaging her schedule. read more

Considerate and safe! I needed my IUD replaced in the middle of COVID-19 and was wary of the procedure. Not only were they taking a lot of safety precautions against COVID-19, which was nice to see, they explained each step before they did it and went to a lot of effort to make me as comfortable as possible. First and foremost, It's very hard to find a doctors office who doesn't have bad reviews. And i believe it all boils down to finding a doctor whom you click with. I read reviews for an hour straight trying to find an office that I would click with. As I was reading the reviews to Omega Obgyn in Mansfield, there were some bad ones but there were also good ones. At first I was scheduled with Dr. Pickles and as I went over his reviews I knew we wouldn't be a fit. So I called the office and requested a new doctor and was scheduled with Dr. Mindy Luck. I was skeptical, because the reviews from other people. But after reading Dr. Luck's reviews, I was sure that we would click. Well fast forward to the day of my appointment: The receptionists were very friendly, and I was seen right on the dot of my appointment. I saw Dr. Mindy Luck and she was incredibly sweet and down to earth. She also assisted me in every way possible all while making me feel as comfortable as possible. Furthermore, I had to get some blood work done and was very nervous about it (since I had never given blood before), and the lady who did it was SO KIND and really calmed me down and made one of the most frightening experiences to me the most laid back. I believe being comfortable is something that you can't go without in a doctors office, and all of the staff made me feel just that. Very pleased. If the reviews they have now were true, they have definitely stepped up since then. read more

I have never been so disgusted, disappointed, and disrespected by a Dr before. My FIRST visit was horrifying. The wait to even get paperwork signed was 30min. People were standing waiting to get in. After getting to the back the nurse was so rude. Asking questions in such a condescending way as to make me feel bad about having a C-Section (that was out of my control). THEN...the Dr was just as bad. No warning before he examined me...then left me on the table 'wide open'. As I laid there he hand one hand on the door, as if he was in a hurry, and simply said every reason I was there (infertility) was not worth it. "I just think it's a waste of money."--speaking in reference to trying a specialist to help get pregnant. They KNEW our struggles, they KNEW how many times we've tried...years...and failed. Yet, they didn't care. After his lecture was over he said "You can come out when you're ready." Ok...I walked out of the exam room to find NO ONE in sight. Not at the nurses station or office. I went to the front where I was rudely greeted "Where's your paperwork?" I said I never had any and she said "Ok, we'll see you later." I left. 5 minutes later the nurse called asking where I was. She proceeded to scold me like a hold for not staying. Like I knew what to do! Did they forget I was a new patient that had never been there before?! I'm so horrified by how I was treated. This establishment doesn't have notice in their website that children are not allowed inside the building. Upon arriving they continue to say the children can't even be inside the lobby/waiting area. They need to leave. Not just the office. But the entire building - no children. For a place that is suppose to help bring children into the world. What type of bougie place does this. Horrible experience the one I had the last time I was there. It was very impersonal and seemed like the Doctor and nurses don't really care about their patients. I was in pain going in and I'm much more pain going out. Didn't get any sonogram or special test done but a pelvic exam which aggravated my pain even further. I walked out in more pain than what I walked in with. They showed no consideration whatsoever to what I explained and I ended in the Emergency room several hours later in severe pain. read more

Avoid if at all possible. You will most likely wait an hour every time you have an appointment because they overbook every single day. They require advance payment and will not provide further care if all payments are not made by the 20th week. When we went to other clinics they thought this was strange and had not heard of other clinics doing this. I haven't even seen the doctor, they have rescheduled my appointment 3 times already and when I finally got the appointment set I got there I saw a sign " NO CHILDREN ALLOWED" it would have been nice to be informed of that since I had my 3 kids with me and had no one to watch them at that time. I can understand why they don't want kids in there. But not being informed of there policy until I'm at the door is ridiculous. So I had to reschedule my appointment. It shouldn't be this hard to get some birth control. Not only that but I now have to wait 2 month before I can see a doctor. I love my doctor here, but the wait time is RIDICULOUS. Every time I go there is AT LEAST an hour wait. I get that here will be a wait at times, but it's getting unacceptable. I have been using them for about two years and I am at my limit they are great about having you undress and leaving you in a room for at least 45 min. their most recent screw up has been not calling me to inform me of me needing my annual instead I get to find out by trying to get my birth control which I was denied that is just perfect.They are not worried about their patents enough to care what they are putting your body though. I am someone who just doesn't like doctors. Especially when it comes time for those up close and personal visits. When I became pregnant I was refereed to Dr.Oladell and I will never see another obgyn because she is amazing. This place is friendly and caring and while I can not speak for the other doctors Dr.Oladells care and concern and allowing me to ask a million questions was truly a blessing. She and her staff make you feel comfortable and are genuinely concerned. I absolutely recommend her at this location. read more
