Upon entering, we checked in on the side and were greeted by such a lovely host. She was incredibly patient and helpful in helping us choose the wine we liked. We were given the option to sit anywhere we wanted, and shortly after, another staff member brought our bottle along with complimentary snacks. We also learned that you're welcome to bring your own snacks , which is such a nice touch! The atmosphere here is so peaceful and lovely. That alone set Boaventura apart from most wineries. The wines were excellent! There wasn't one bad one in the ten that we tasted. That's pretty amazing, even for fantastically epic famous wineries. And to find that in Livermore Valley is even more awesome. I will absolutely return to Boaventura and I recommend it as a must-stop to all of my wine-loving friends. They had a live musician named Chris Rogers singing and playing the guitar; don't forget to tip him. If you don't bring your own food, don't worry, they have a caterer on-site to buy from. You can also sit at their tables if you buy a couple of bottles instead of doing the tasting. I noticed they also have comedy shows once a month in the summer and hope I can check that out.
