Just found my new favorite restaurant. This place is flawless, literally perfect. The food tastes amazing, the portions are outstanding. The service from our server Mary is some of the best service I've ever had, and she has a charming and lovely personality to boot. Also Roberto is very awesome and helpful too. This is always a good spot for breakfast in the Santee area. It can get pretty busy, especially on the weekends, but the waits aren't too bad. You will definitely get your fill of breakfast as the portions are a good size. The omelettes are 4 egg vs the usual 3 egg at most places and the can put you over the top on fullness if you're adding sides. We had very good service and they were very attentive. read more

This restaurant is a pretty solid breakfast place. They have a very extensive menu offering items from açaí bowls to Southern, American and Mexican inspired plates. The service is usually really good. There has been a time or two where we get a not-so-friendly and slow waitress but it's rare. The prices are reasonable and the portions are generous. My husband is a big French toast guy and they make his favorite (besides mine of course ;)) The only thing I've had her that I don't like is their house made salsa. It's super chunky and more like a Spanish sauce and not a salsa. They do offer bottled hot sauces though. The have a lot of indoor and outdoor seating with a nice sized parking lot. read more

I like the ambiance, the food and the service. Our waitress was super fun and helpful. I didn't know what an Ortega pepper was. Food hit the spot for sandwich and fries. Their fries are nice and crispy and abundant, it wasn't extra it came with the sandwich. Lunch for 2 was a little over $30. I used to go to the La Mesa location. My brother and I went to OF yesterday about noon. If you want your food to be semi fresh off the grill, go first thing when they open. I had the burger patty and eggs breakfast. The patty must of been on the grill for hrs. Dry as can be and luke warm. Like it had been sitting on the warming part of the grill since opening. The hashbrowns where slop. Saturated in grease, blacked by whatever else was cooking along side of it, which I didn't order, tasted like onions. Then the brilliant cook decided they looked bad too and put a small plank of freshly grilled HB on top of those, like he was fooling someone or simply insulting me, because that's how i took it. I ate a few bites of the burger and the OM eggs because those were the only freshly cooked part of the meal. I paid nearly $20 for a couple eggs. I was a cook for 6 years out of HS way back many years ago and the manager would crap his pants if we served garbage like that. That food was an insult to a pig... read more

12/7/22- opened at 6am. 1st time going to this place ever. I was there at 6:05am, already about 15 persons there. Positive- ordered the From The Ranch Omelette. It was four eggs and filling. Came with hash browns and I ordered the wheat toast. Service, I didn't order for 45 minutes. I just sat there. I almost left. Food came out fast though- to much cheese on the omelette and the hash browns were crunchy on the outside but tasted greasy. I ate only 1/3 of it. Toast was good. Spent $15 and after tip and tax. About $20. I wouldn't get this same omelette or side of hash browns. I also wasn't told I had to walk to the cashier to pay. See photos. I really dislike leaving low scores and I really wanted to like this place but based on the experience I had it needs a lot of adjustments :/ I ordered some OM eggs with bacon. My boyfriend ordered scrambled eggs with sausage and then we shared an order of french toast. The good: -My OM eggs were cooked great, I inhaled them haha -Our waitress was fantastic. I forgot to ask her name but when I glanced at the receipt I saw the name Mari on it. She was very friendly, had great communication, and was very timely. -There was also a busser that was saying hello and goodbye to all of the customers. It seemed like he really went above and beyond in his job The ok: -I enjoyed the french toast but there was room for improvement. Some parts of it were dry -Their country style potatoes had very little seasoning and seemed a tad underdone (no texture or crisp) The bad: -My bacon was so overdone it almost looked like bacon jerky and crumbled when I bit into it. You can see how dry it is in the picture -My boyfriends scrambled eggs were so runny that he had to ask for them to be cooked longer (going on 2 years and I've never seen him send anything back). His plate literally had a big portion of liquid sitting underneath the egg -The toast we received with the meal was drenched in butter. I lifted it up and some butter actually dripped off. This place is such a joke. The food is decent but they ALWAYS get our order wrong. Ordered DoorDash and got a breakfast burrito with country fries for a side and the potatoes were missing! I also called the restaurant to specifically ask for extra salsa and a side of sour cream and when it was delivered I did not have 1 salsa and no sour cream. Then I called to let the restaurant know and they transferred me to 2 people and tried to transfer me to a third, who has time to spend 30 mins on a phone call! Normally this place is on point. But now no. For a Saturday morning it was on slow side. Sat on patio aka ignore section.Took @ 10 minute for a drink only order. Another 15 minutes to order. Mind you we were ready to order with drinks but he was busy so he'd come back. Food was a bit slow which was fine since kitchen behind. I had more seasoning on burger than burger. Customer service is outstanding. All the employees are very friendly and attentive. Sufficient lighting. Unfortunately I came last week and the toast was burnt, the breakfast potatoes were too done, crispy like french fries. I came back today and this time the toast was like bread with butter and the country potatoes were again, like crispy french fries. Too bad this has happened two weeks in a row. Ordered breakfast today, I had the Factory Omelette with mushrooms/bell peppers/onion/ham. It was nearly inedible, as well as the country fries, due to being undercooked. The veggies were so undercooked that it left a pool of liquid at the bottom of the container which soaked all the way through. The country fries were burned in some spots and raw in others. I also had a hot cake that was good in flavor, but very dry. My coworker ordered something else, an omelet with chorizo and a side of refried beans, and it looked really good. I would like to give this place another chance, but at 17$ for an inedible omelet, I'm not sure I can afford to be disappointed again. read more

I eat at this place usually once a month with friends. And I will say the service here is amazing. Very on top of when my coffee needs to be refilled and the one gentlemen waiters always remembers what I like to drink but I surprised him last time and switched it up. But I love feeling remembered. Me and my friends are usually a large group and I appreciate the separate checks since we all pay individually and I'm grateful it's not an issue. We decided to come here for breakfast so I came to Yelp to read reviews and look at pictures. I was a little worried after reading the reviews but decided we needed to see for ourselves. We were pleasantly surprised. Husband and I both got the Chicken Fajita Skillet with Tortillas and our son got the Breakfast Burrito with Sausage and a side of Potatoes. Everything was delicious and such huge portions! Hubs and I could not finish our food and we are not light eaters. Service was not super speedy but quick enough and they did well keeping our drinks filled. Everyone was very nice. The inside was very clean. Yes, a little pricey but the omelette is huge on the account they come with a four egg preparation. In addition, the Colorado came stuffed with savory chopped ham, bell peppers, onions, and instead of cheddar, I rolled with Pepper Jack Cheese. The omelette was very well made. It was well seasoned and cooked. It was a great combination of ingredients but I would of like more of that Pepper Jack Cheese, especially inside the omelette. The hash browns were great. They were crispy on the outside and tender on inside. They were good eating with the house salsa I asked for. The rye toast was a quality toast and arrived warm with a nice golden brown color. I have now ordered a variation of The Factory Omelette for delivery on two separate occasions. It is, hands-down, the best I have ever had. I'm a meats guy so I had it filled with bacon and sausage and two cheeses. Both times I got it with the country potatoes. The first time with sourdough toast, and this time with the blueberry muffin. The portions are large enough to even share. The quality of the meats and the ratio of eggs to cheese is spot on. Compared to any other restaurant, the price point for what you get is amazing. Broken Yolk who?! I've known about this place for at least a year now but I've always been skeptical to stray away from Broken Yolk's mimosas despite their subpar food. But my GAWD! I was missing out on something much more heavenly and now I've got a new breakfast favourite. And for cheaper which is always nice. I ordered the South Baja Omelette which comes with jalapenos and cheese on the inside and avocado, cheese and sour cream on top. You can request salsa as well. Man that food was good! I didn't even have to add any salt, pepper or hot sauce to it. The flavour was just right. The peach mimosa was amazing too. Unfortunately they don't serve mimosa flights but the individual mimosas aren't watered down or weak by any sense of the word so you don't necessarily need a flight of mimosas nor do you need to jack your liver up too much to get a nice breakfast buzz going. Their portion sizes are generous. So much so that I ended up taking food home because I was so full. This place is quite popular so try to get there as early as possible to avoid a long wait.
