However, changing the price after an agreement was disappointing. I came here based on good reviews and recommendations. Keeping your word matters if you want returning customers.

I didn't get there as a tweak in the door itself caused my overhead lights to stay on and drain my battery. I arranged for a friend to take me home, expecting to leave the car for at lrast the afternoon. But manager (I did not get hois name) said it would just be a half hour. He called over a ytechnician and 20 minutes later the car was ready! I had some body damage and the manager quoted me a price apologetically, noting that Lexus Parts are super expensive. I said well, it's a 15 year old car - probably isn't even worth the cost of the repairs. I started to walk away and stopped, turned and said, "Wait, I haven't paid you!" And he said, "no charge". I was dumbfounded and only hope I thanked him emough. Great work, fast, and even complimentary. I'm in awe. Go there!

When I ran the quote through ChatGPT I was told they were charging me dealership pricing for an independent mechanic for that type of work in LA. So I brought the truck here to Speedway where I had Minor worked done before and had a good experience. They told me my bearings need to be replaced and did the work for lesson than a quarter of the price I was quoted at the other mechanic. Work was finished in a day and the truck has been running perfectly since then. Had I spent to 4800 at the place it wouldn't have even resolved the issue, which means I would've had to come out of the pocket even more after the initial work was done. Obviously a truck of this age is gonna have some problems and when they inevitably happen again I will be back here at Speedway to take care of them. The next day, they called me saying they fixed the radiator, but there was an internal leaking issue that the mechanic couldn't figure out and that I should immediately go trade in the car before the engine fails. He gave me zero plausible or any technical explanation for what the origin of the issue was and added another 100 dollars to my service fee. I decided to take my car to a mechanic who is more accustomed to dealing with Subarus with the incredibly vague explanation I received from the mechanic rather than go sell or trade in the car because one person told me he can't fix it. The next day, I received an actual explanation of what the issue was, which was a cross contamination issue with the coolant and engine oil that can happen with the specific engine that Subarus are equipped with and he was able to give me an actual quote to fix the issue rather than telling me to trade in or sell the car. Furthermore, he said that changing the radiator should have only cost me a couple hundred dollars max and that the issue with the engine could have been prevented if I went to an experienced mechanic in the first place! I was overcharged by more than double the actual price of parts and service and literally told to go trade in the car after paying $880 dollars, which I had to haggle down from $900 after the price increased overnight. Please don't come here for any repairs as they are not qualified to provide proper service, yet will overcharge you without any agreement. He said $140. I bought the brakes for $60 and showed up today to have them install installed. Once they were done and I went to pay, I wanted to pay $150 to include a tip. I was told that I could pay with Zelle, but Zelle charged a fee of $5. I already know that Zelle is free so I told him that. He lied to my face and said that he's charged a fee. So I tried to pay $150 & he told me no they wouldn't receive the tip. SMH was very stupid. So I paid $145 & left. Saved myself $5 on the tip. What I know happened is that they were trying to Charge me an extra five dollars for a tip because they didn't think I was gonna give one. The customer service there is not the best. I feel like they were very racist and were not very polite to me. They were cordial and pleasant with all of their other customers, but dry, dismissive and uncommunicative with me. I think it would be behoove them in the future to treat every customer with respect. And not lie about payment methods because I am an informed customer who pays with multiple apps. I know which one's charge and which ones don't. So they cut their own selves out of a tip today. I hate liars & racism, all for an extra $5. Anyone can Google it right now and see that Zelle is free.. I just didn't wanna argue with him. It's one of the best decisions I have made this year. Will was able to come out with a day or so and run a diagnostics check, quickly locating the issue and showing me the results. He explained to me what the issue was, discussed options, gave me a full quote and a price - highly competitive. With me agreeing to what needed to be done, he ordered the part (Saturday) and came back the next day (Sunday) to install it. Incredibly helpful and so polite, he showed me the new part, walked me through what he was going to do and afterward even showed me the part he removed and explained the wear and why it was actually perfect timing. Within hours I was up and running again, good as new. I have NEVER had service like this from a dealership in all my years of being a car owner and driver (and that's several decades). Will also flagged other things that I needed to be aware of (including needing an oil change - which I will be getting him to come and do) but at no point pushed for me to do them there and then - zero pressure, just guidance. He repeatedly asked if I had any questions and was keen for me to understand what was happening and why - superb! He even cleared up the work area after he'd finished. Flawless. Aside from the convenience and Will just being an incredibly nice guy, his attention to detail and service are second to none. Friendly and knowledgable, he works hard to make sure you understand what he's doing, and is professional and polite at every step along the way.
