These guys are finishing up work in my yard right now and I cannot recommend them enough. They were very easy to work with and communicate with on site, they were incredibly fast and thorough and were flexible enough to be willing to add on another component to the job. At a previous home I had to have a few trees removed and I'm very pleased with the clean uo and speed of this crew compared to what I've experienced in the past. More details if you want it: A large tree fell and smashed the roof of our garage during a storm taking a power line with it. Omni responded before Ameren did. They came in, took down and cleaned up this huge tree in about 2hrs. We had another tree with a very dead branch that we asked half way through the project if they could take down and they did without issue. Our neighbor was worried they'd take the whole tree down- but they knew exactly what I was talking about and only took down the dead branch - beautiful old tree is safe and healthier than ever. These guys were very responsive and respectful. If mngt is reading this- the crew you sent to Leona deserve a raise! If you're a woman reading this - I can confirm that they were wonderful, professional and did as I asked when I had specifications. They were very easy to communicate with. Not once did I feel like they were speaking down to me or did I get an eye roll - even as I approached them in the middle of the job with a question, which I understand was likely pretty annoying dealing with chainsaws and wood chippers. Frankly - I wish more of the home improvement folks we've been dealing with were like these guys. I hope I never have to deal with tree removal again, but if I do I know who we will call. They made the end of what was a very stressful and painful experience about as nice as possible. Cannot recommend enough. Omni removed a tree that had fallen on my home over 6 weeks ago. They have not removed the stump which they said they would come back to do. I have been calling the office and been given the run around from multiple different people for weeks now trying to get them to come out and finish their job. We have been using Omni tree service for years. When we scheduled to have an old oak tree removed, they called the day before like they said they would, they showed up early the next morning. The work was done quickly and completely. The cleanup was amazing. They took away all debris and left our lawn in perfect condition. These guys are the best. We watched the entire tree take down and were amazed at the equipment they used. They ground the tree quickly as they cut. We decided not to have the stump removed. It was worth every penny we paid. Omni was contracted by our Condo Association and did a horrible job of trimming away nearly all privacy. Crew demonstrated no judgment about landscaping aesthetic. Left many dead limbs but cut away live branches needed for beauty and privacy. Our Red Maple was chopped back so far from our home that our deck no longer will have privacy. Mature trees do not grow new branches on trunk below!! This tree is wrecked forever and my property value hurt. At the same time, there are numerous inner dead branches that were left. Do NOT let them trim unless you are home to supervise their 'wack-away' approach. read more

I've used Omni Tree Service two times in the past and was very satisfied with their work. Something must have changed in the meantime. They were scheduled to remove a large limb on August 10. No one showed up or called. I contacted them late afternoon and they said that they would be coming on Tuesday, August 17. No one showed up or called. Contacted them again and they said would be coming on Wednesday, August 18 at 8:30am. First on the schedule. No one came again so I called about the third time they were a no-show. They said that they didn't like our attitude about them not showing up and were terminating our contract. Just as well since I don't know if they would be coming if they rescheduled a fourth time. Bottom line, you can't depend on them to show up as scheduled. read more

Bottom line upfront - If you are willing to put up with poor communication, may be worth a try. On the plus side: -Competitive bid to remove a large tree in a challenging space amongst many wires. Best of 4 bids from other local, well known companies. -Cost of job was equal to the bid. No hidden costs or surprises. -Once work began, the tree was brought down safely and efficiently. Attentive to surrounding properties and wires. Crew worked well together. -Clean up after the work was impressive. Little to no damage to surrounding bushes. Minimal sawdust, leaves or branches left lying around. On the down side: -Poor communication. Had to ask for the bid in writing multiple times. Once bid signed, received an estimated time frame of when work would be done. I then called 2-3 weeks before that date to ask if they were still on target. Advised that they would be delayed an undetermined amount of time, and that they would call me prior to the work starting. Crew arrived to begin work, unannounced, while I was out of town. Someone from office stated that they did call - however I did not have any missed calls, texts, emails or mail from the company. -Minimal sensitivity to neighbors. Hi. We had a big ole messy and dead birch tree hanging over our roof, and was very close to the porch. Omni came & was CAREFUL and efficient. Amazing removal without hurting other bushes and plants nearby. They were all really nice guys too. Came back at another time to grind the stump down. Clean up was great. After owning a business for 34 years, I rarely if ever give a 1 Star Yelp, but for this company, I feel I MUST! They were hired to remove a dying tree in our side yard. I pre-payed for the removal and for well over a year I keep receiving Past Due invoices, even after I sent them a copy of the posted check. We then hired them to remove a Cypress tree in our front. Tom came out a gave a bid (which was very reasonable) to remove that tree, a gum tree, trim up a redbud and 2 pear trees. We were out of town and authorized the work to be done in our absence. When we returned, the Cypress and gum ball were gone, the redbud had been trimmed, but the pears had not. We made a call and was promised they would send someone out to finish the work.....after several months we had Tom back out. He gave us a written bid to trim 3 pear trees remove some crepe myrtles and trim a tree (didn't a name down). Again, we were gone when the work was done. I talked to the young man via my Ring doorbell and he asked me if I wanted the Honeysuckle removed in back, it wasn't on his work order. He didn't say "tree". (Honeysuckle in Calif is a vine we grown on trellis). I told him if my husband had marked it then, yes. What I WASNT TOLD IS THE HONEYSUCKLE WAS A BEAUTIFUL TREE THAT I LOVED , NOT A CLIMBING VINE'!!!!! I was devastated when we returned and the beautiful tree was gone, but they were inefficient enough to leave the stump as well as their shovel and tree trimmings. My husband called Tom. Tom could have cared less. No "I'm so sorry for the confusion, what can we do"....he just argued that it wasn't a tree and was just an invasive "bush". He took absolutely NO responsibility for not being on site when the work was done. He offered no compromise and totally BLEW my husband off! Omni came out to our home in July. We got back to them within a week because we received other bids and we wanted to move forward with their services. We thought what they offered us was exciting and the price was reasonable. We had to call them numerous times and they never told us what the next steps were. We finally got a hold of someone in early September and they said they would call us the last week of September to schedule a time for them to remove our two trees. They never called us and we've called them another four times and emailed them one last time to give them another chance. Never received a call and didn't receive a response to our email. It is extremely frustrating to have to do all of the work. It takes 30 seconds to call someone and just be honest about your timeline. I dont want to hear that it is caused by lack of workers. It shows that they lack customer service and don't care when they completey and knowingly ghost you. We will take our business elsewhere. read more

After Omni no Show last Friday.....I called and complained because they did not even let me know they were not coming. Well, anyway, they were here today and did an incredible job. They cleaned up perfectly they trim the trees perfectly. I have absolutely no complaints about their work. The only reason they have four stars instead of five is because they failed to show Friday and didn't even let me know they weren't coming. We had a monstrous 8ft diameter tree removed near the house . They used a crane to take it down in pieces . The tree was so huge that it hung over neighboring houses . They were polite to neighbors as they coordinated with them. They cleaned up our yard and the neighbor's yard when finished . I would highly recommend ! read more

We had a great experience with Omni Tree Service in August 2019. A really giant tree fell in our yard and crushed the deck. Home Owner's Insurance recommended a different local company to remove the tree. That company wanted over 6K to remove said tree. I agreed but after two weeks of chasing them they would not give me a date. I had gotten a bid from Omni early on which was far less but I was trying to go with the company that Insurance suggested, so I told Omni I wasn't going to use them. Well, I had to come crawling back begging after that tree still was laying across my patio, yard and deck 14 days later. Omni didn't treat me any differently, they jumped into action and had a crew of FIVE guys at my house within a couple of days. That crew was so efficient that they removed everything in about five hours and even RAKED the area. There was no trace that the tree ever existed. Omni staff were courteous and sympathetic. We used Omni to remove two pine and a pin oak tree last fall after consultation with the owner, Tom Reid. I witnessed there work when a neighbor contracted them to do similar. I was impressed. Well, I was impressed once again. They did a professional job, the workers were very pleasant and caring, and all at a competitive price. Furthermore, the stump of the pin oak tree was removed but among all the chips there was still a root of the tree, mostly underground, but about five inches higher than the lawn. I've used this company twice to remove dead or hanging branches from trees at a rental property that I own. The first time I was completely happy with the service I received. The second time there was a complete breakdown in communication. After waiting over 3 weeks after I submitted a signed work order, the company still had not reached out to me to schedule the work. I called and was told someone would call me back to schedule the work. A week later after not receiving a call, I called again. I was told someone would come the following Monday. I requested that they call me on Monday to let me know the time frame so I could let my tenants know and was told they would do this. They showed up on Monday with no call. I was frustrated by this because my tenants have pets that could have gotten out and they had no warning of the crew's arrival. I called to complain about this and spoke to the owner Tom who told me "it is what it is" and "we can't fulfill every request that's made by a customer". At one point, I liked them. Have done business with them over the years. BUT... my daughter had a tree fall on Christmas day and they decided to charge her $3,600 to remove a single tree (full disclosure it was leaning against a house)! While they did answer on Christmas day and did the work the day after Christmas, they were just price gouging someone who needed them. Their original estimate for this work was $1,225 (several months before it fell). You would think for $3,600 they would at least remove all of the tree, right? Nope. They did not and would not include the stump. With the previous business I did with them I was shocked to say the least. NEVER AGAIN.
