After the repair, new issues appeared that were not present before service: debris behind the camera lens, a growing black dot on the screen, screen glitches, and eventually the entire bottom half of the display turning black. On January 20, 2026, after the device became unusable, I returned to the store. I was told Apple would replace the phone, but it was not in stock and would need to be ordered. Because I rely on my phone for work, I purchased a new phone through my carrier. I was later notified that the replacement was ready. I could not pick it up on the original date and rescheduled, but that appointment was canceled by Apple due to a snowstorm on January 25, 2026. On February 18, 2026, I returned to the store and was informed that the device no longer had AppleCare coverage and the approved replacement would not be honored. The phone was under AppleCare when repaired and when the defects were reported. The replacement had already been approved. Store delays and a weather cancellation should not void Apple's responsibility. I am now left with a defective device that cannot be used or resold.
