An employee met us as we entered and helped orient us to their property's layout. Set up a table on the patio for lunch. Provided friendly and thorough service. The food was beautifully prepared, fresh and delicious. Shopping at the gift shop after was an added bonus!

They do serve lunch to 2pm. We were here to have lunch and then take pictures at their lavender farm. Hopping to catch some blooming lavender. Sadly, it was mostly a green garden w not much blooming lavender. There were a few other flowers blooming tho. Upon arrival.... Pros 1) plenty of parking. 2) location was plain but pretty and clean. 3) they had like 4 to 8 tables on the front by the parking area where you walk in. I saw a few people eating there. 4) they had a beautiful wooden table in the back on the grassy area with 6 chairs around it. That's where we sat for lunch. Our reservation was at 12pm. We got seated right away. Today was perfect to eat outside. There is no indoor seating or a restaurant here. I didn't see any. 5) there is a gift shop. But we didn't make it to see the inside 6) they serve salads and sandwiches here for lunch. Very simple and short menu. Their soup of the day today was tomato bisque. 7) our sandwiches and salads tasted fine. But salads are large portions. I could have shared my chicken salad with another. Sandwiches are normal size. Enough for one person. 8) Drinks were ok. Water tasted good. No funky or metal taste to it. 9) two porter potty bathroom but clean. Not the typical blue porter potties at putdoor events. A little nicer and it flushes. 10) our server was very nice. Cons 1) it took a long time to get our meals once we ordered. We were seated at 12pm. But we didn't get our salads and sandwiches till like an hourish later. By the time our foods came out, we sat to catch up and eat, and celebrate a bday, it was like 1:45ish already. Gift shop closes at 2pm. 2) our young server seems like she's still in training. But she was good. Wish they check on their customers more often. But maybe she was the only one taking orders. I don't know. 3) Conclusion This location was nice. Clean. Pretty. There wasn't any lavender blooming when we were there. But I heard it's a hit and miss to catch it in bloom too get beautiful pictures. It's ok though. We found other areas to get nice photos in. Foods were ok. Meh. But salads looked pretty and in large portions. Chicken on the salads were perfectly made. It was juicy and not dry. Each of our plates were $18. There is a small drinks menu. With both their menus being short, it made it so much easier to order something. Love that no one rushed us out after 2pm. We were allow to take our time on the area to take photos. They were setting up for a 4pm wedding. Not to bad here.

It was nice tho considering it was 5 of us and got in for free. The bracelet for the rides was crazy expensive for the very limited rides and for some rides u need two people. My nephew wasnt able to get on all the rides because of that. The farm animal part was alright, kinda small. One thing that sucked was one of the booths to win a super mario stuff toy. The guys running the booth got mad cuz a lil girl won a stuffed toyS i heard them speaking in spanish getting all upset cuz a lil girl won a bit stuffed animal. That just put a bad taste in my mouth. Everything was super expensive, but thats always like that at every fair. I would come again of the entry was free all the time.

Drove distance about…read more2hrs. from Solano Co. following my Google maps redirect thru rural farm roads & cornfields to arrive in Turlock, CA. To see one of my favorite R&B bands perform, Con Funk Shun who originate from my hometown of Vallejo. $15 bucks entry fee for the fair + the concert was the deal of the century! Overall, this fair could really teach all the other fairs up & down the state something about value. A return to value before most all other fairs started gettin' all greedy & trying to rip everyone off it seems (Alameda Co. Fair, Marin Co. Fair, Solano Co. Fair, CA State Fair are you listening?). OK duh, it gets hot here in Turlock during the summer (peaking @ 102 this day), like at some of those other summertime fairs I mentioned. But, this fair has quite a few cooling stations & devices throughout the fair to keep you comfortable. Such as oversized misting fans in the foodcourt areas and air conditioning & fans in the other buildings. It also can get a bit dusty out here amid all these farmlands. A face mask might be helpful for some, idk? Fair looks small and rather underwhelming from the Archway main entrance & ticketing area, but don't be fooled, as there's quite a bit to see inside. Combined tons of booths & food vendors and a respectable amount of traditional rides. And with very decent prices all things considered. Great fair for kids too with a lot for them. $10 bucks to park, which ain't bad at all, but--even better-- Turlock transit buses were free for the week with free parking & shuttle accommodations from nearby Stanislaus State Univ. Throw out all those stereotypes you might've had about Turlock and similar nearby farming towns. It's really a charming + modern area as was exemplified by this great county fair. Will def. be on my list to return next year. Good time!

My daughter was so excited!! She loved her photo as we were walking out I seen on their community board on events happening soon. They had all kinds of different workshops as well as photo session events, I signed up for an upcoming workshop to experience to do your own thanksgiving charcuterie of course with a complimentary wine glass. And let me say, it was the most fun I've had, especially moving to the town and not knowing much it was nice to get out the house and socialize. Since then, I've signed up for other workshops. I truly love this place, they also do private events and I'm thinking of celebrating my partner's birthday here in the summer. Can't recommend it enough!! Thanks Melissa for creating this space for the community she's one of the owners, super down to earth women. Tell her Jaz sent yah !!

From helping us stay within our budget, to helping us come up with alternatives. Their assistance with the day helped make it all come together. Any issues that may have come up, I didn't even hear about because they handled it all. We had a fusion Indian/Jewish wedding, and we wanted both our heritages to be honored, which they did beautifully. I know I would have had a much harder time without them. But in actuality, they helped make our special day memorable, enjoyable and beautiful. They were fantastic and I would recommend them over and over again!
