My husband and I had a beautiful wedding here ! I had seen photos of this place online (instagram, yelp), and loved the fairytale garden-feel of it. Our wedding was this April and we first checked out this venue in January. So since it was winter, the garden looked really gray, but when we finally had the wedding in April, this venue was s-t-u-n-n-i-n-g ! We had a limited budget so were very thankful that Del Rio had a ceremony-only option. As it was ceremony-only, we only were given Sunday to have our wedding, which we were honestly okay with because we were able to stay within our budget. The employees were also very professional whenever we would meet with them. I remember for our first meeting with them, even though we had not booked the venue yet, they gave us a gift and some wine ! You could just tell how experienced the employees were as well in terms of planning a ceremony and working with people. They gave us a lot of guidance during our rehearsal run-through (which was the Friday before the wedding) as well as on the day of, Sunday. Also another quick note about Sunday, since we only did a ceremony only, we also ordered some light refreshments and snacks and fruit (no meals and no DJ). My one and only con with this place is I wish it would have been easier to communicate with them when we were not meeting in person. They said we could text their number but they would mainly respond to my husband's texts and not mine - same thing happened with email, or they would take a handful of business days to get back to my emails. I eventually found out that calling during business hours was more reliable in reaching them. All in all, it was great to work with the Del Rio team in such a beautiful setting. read more

They offer 3 options for weddings along with so many choices once you decide on what option works for you. During the wedding its, they were still flexible when needed to be. I cannot say enough good things about this venue!!! We got married at Del Rio Vista Garden 10/21/23. Bertha made the planning process so easy for us, and her having everything in house made it stress free. This venue is all inclusive, and they handle the food, flowers, decor, cake, and dj. We just had to pick what we were wearing, pick a photographer, and an officiant. Of course weddings aren't free, but I feel that we got such a value for the perfect wedding experience that we had here. Bertha had all the special "extras" and we added on a photo booth and yard games which the guests loved. You can tell that Bertha and her team have so much experience because the wedding day itself ran flawlessly with no awkward gaps. The team communicated by radio to ensure that our needs were met and that the evening flowed wonderfully, and I heard such complimentary things from the guests about how attentive the staff was. My dad even broke his shoe before the ceremony and the staff came running with super glue! The fact that this venue handles set up and tear down made everything a breeze, and they even helped load up our family's cars afterwards with the leftover food. Guests also spoke highly of how naturally beautiful the space is, as there is so much greenery and it's located on the river. The space was well lit once it got dark, facilities were clean and well stocked with any supplies a guest might need, and there was even security on site. Communication with Bertha and even the dj leading up to the wedding day and on the day of were all so easy. I would hands down without a doubt recommend this venue to anyone. read more

Every girl dreams of her fairytale wedding. We searched everywhere for the Cinderella wedding I had always dreamt of. Little did we know, it was nearby! I saw the Cinderella carriage and was immediately sold. Soon after, I was accepted into graduate school. Fortunately, this venue is ALL INCLUSIVE! I went through 2 years of grad school WITHOUT HAVING TO PLAN MY WEDDING! People always asked me, "Are you stressed doing school and a wedding?" I always replied, "No, because my venue takes care of it for me!" This venue IS WORTH EVERY PENNY! You pick out your flowers, food, linens, decor, cake, everything, and they do it all FOR YOU! I came the day of my wedding and it was ALL SET UP FOR ME! I never had to stress. I wrote a thesis for grad school and they did everything for my wedding. They even took all the decor down and carefully packed it into my boxes. It was AMAZING. I can't thank Bertha and her team enough for making my fairytale wedding come true! This was the fairytale wedding out our dreams. My wife and I can't stop thinking about how magical and stress free it was. All it took was meeting with Bertha a couple of times to let her know what we wanted and she provided it. The ceremony and reception went without a hitch and left us with unforgettable moments and scenery. The on-site staff and vendors used were all great, including their DJ. We also recommend adding the s'mores bar and their preferred photo booth vendor if available as both were a big hit with guests. We have received so many comments from guests on how beautiful our wedding was at this venue. So much attention to detail went into designing the grounds. As we walked around we continued to notice little details that overall set this place apart. The bar and reception area are especially beautiful. I'd say this place even compares to the garden wedding venues at Disneyland Resort but at a fraction of the costs. But rather than using the beautiful grounds to just "phone it in", we got the feeling that Bertha and her associates truly enjoyed going above and beyond to ensure that sure we had our dream wedding. We found the rainbow connection! I may be slightly biased as the bride but Del Rio Vista Garden helped us have the best wedding I've ever been to! Bertha, Melissa and the team completely understood and executed our rainbow vision and transformed the already beautiful space into a wonderland of color and magic. They were more than willing to accommodate all our requests, no matter how unusual or non-traditional they may have been. Living in Fremont, it took a while to find this place but I am so so happy we did! And it was definitely worth the drive. With most guests living in the bay area, we thought that traveling to Escalon would be about the same as traveling to Napa but without the Napa price tag. And during the reception I had guests asking me, in awe, how we found the venue. Everyone remarked on the beauty and ideal setup and talked about how impressed they were with it! Everything from the amazing flowers, and the great food and delicious cake, to the kind and attentive staff, and the awesome dj (though I was a bit confused when he played Here Comes Santa Claus during the reception) made our day perfect. We were married at DRVG on 5/26/19. The venue is absolutely spectacular! Our guests raved about how beautiful the ceremony and reception site looked; even though it rained for a few minutes on our special day. This property is really something you have to see to believe; no pictures do it justice. Bertha and Charlie are a joy to work with and their staff worked so hard to make sure our guests were well taken care of. No event is perfect; we did have a small mix up on the salad but the site handled this with the highest degree of professionalism. When we look back on our wedding day; we can't imagine having it anywhere else. This is a true gem of the San Joaquin area. read more

We had our wedding here in October 2008; the location itself is quite beautiful and the owners have done a fabulous job getting the space ready for use. The owners are new at the event location business, and we were warned by third parties that this might be an issue. Nearly two months after our wedding and still no returned security deposit. Why do we want it back? Read on. The first issue that came up that the restrooms were broken when we arrived the day of the wedding; guests had to be ushered into the house (which is where the bridle party was preparing and had all their belongings). This happened for better part of half of the wedding, until plumbers were called out and as we were told "an object" was found lodged in the pipe. We never found out what the object was and the owners handled it the best they could. We were understanding, the guests were understanding...but it was a large inconvenience. The second issue was security, which we were required to have which we paid them to provide. When a nearby resident who was not part of the wedding guests sat next to the entrance, drunk, with a flashlight and generally scaring the crap out of people, security did nothing. When one of the owners asked him to leave, he stayed. Guests complained, my wife complained, and...nothing. So thank you security, you did a fantastic job. The third issue was one movable counter, which had a granite top. This top became broken at some point during the wedding. This was pointed out to me by one of the owners in a tone that would have me believe that this was my wedding parties fault. I found it somewhat strange that a solid granite counter top would become broken, especially given people weren't using it (the coffee pot was located on this counter, and it had few people use it). Turns out that after having a wedding guest who just happens to be a licensed contractor look at this broken counter top, the truth comes out: the owner had broken when he had attempted to install it, and then fixed the crack himself. The licensed contractor said the fix was inadequate, that with it being on a moving counter (without being secured no less) it wasn't surprising it was broke. After this came up, his tone changed. All in all, the wedding went pretty well. No cops were called, no damage (the restrooms and counter top were not our fault), and when we returned on Sunday to pick the rest of the wedding materials, everything was the way we had found it. Fast forward four weeks. I find it odd that no returned security deposit has arrived. I send an email asking about where this deposit was. No reply. I let another couple weeks go by and call, only to find the number disconnected. I send another email. I call again, finally get voicemail, leave message. No return call. Eight weeks later, I get a letter in the mail detailing what they believe to be the "damages", things they claim we broke (which we did not). They say they're going to give back about 2/3 of the deposit, which when it finally arrives is nearly 12 weeks after the wedding. It was at this point, that I just let it go. I wasn't going to go on arguing over a few hundred dollars, which is probably what they figured. My general displeasure lies in that there hasn't been any communication. I understand they're new at this, but between the restroom issue and getting blamed for something we didn't do, I expect some communication. The fact that they are holding on to the security deposit without reason and without at least explaining their position shows me a great lack of professionalism. read more

Hi. I can't believe I didn't give a review on here. It must have been on Facebook. We had our wedding here November 5th 2016. When I first saw this place I fell in love and when I brought my husband back he fell in love too. We still had more places to look at but when we went to them we kept comparing them to Del Rio Vista Gardens and ran the numbers and it made sense. We chose their venue for so many reasons. Bertha was very sweet and made it feel very personal. We met Melissa and she was amazing too. They are a great team with a good staff. The grounds are beautiful and they included the cake and DJ and flowers. I got so many compliments on the flowers and how beautiful the place was. Food was great and the DJ was fun. My name is Maria, I got married at Del Rio Vista gardens on 6.25.11. Want to start by saying this location is beautiful, if you want a garden wedding this is the place to be. I researched many places and none really got my attention until i came across Del Rio Vista. So i decided to contact the owner and start my planning. From the start I knew i wanted to plan most of it myself with the help of the wedding planner. So i decided to get the garden itself w the security guards,set up and take down and of course the servers (my husband and i were not going to have any family members do anything but have fun at our wedding) and decided i would provide everything else. Saw many pictures and all were really nice but i wanted something different. I didn't want my wedding to be like other weddings, I wanted mine unique. So I told the owner I wanted the ceremony to the at the stairs, and so the stairs it was. Something she had not done before but somehow manage to get it to work. From the water fountain to the dance floor everything was perfect. From the sitting arrangements,shade, to the flowered walk way to the altar, everything was so beautiful. I could have only picture how i wanted my table set up and center pieces, but that day it was like she knew exactly what i wanted. Table cloth and seat cover just by me describing them she just did a very good job. Everything i wanted i got. I did have couple of issues here and there like my DJ really sucked (I should have gone with the one the Facility provided) second issue was that since the facility does not provide the alcohol it was a hassle going out and buying it myself. the owner should provide it and that would be one less thing to worry about. We had our wedding on September 10th 2011, while the venue itself was beautiful along with the decor and flowers there where a number of areas that needed serious improvement. We bought the bundle package that included setup, flowers, plated dinner, Drinks (Soda, water and coffee,) China and silverware, cake cutting and serving, security, takedown and DJ entertainment. The weather that day proved unseasonably warm and our bridal party had arrived early for last minute preparations and pictures. The staff and owners of the venue were difficult to locate and had not setup any water for our bridal party. In fact, we had some members in our bridal party go out and purchase bottled waters and bring them back. This was a huge issue for us as later on a member or our bridal party become a victim of heat exhaustion and had to have paramedics arrive at the scene. The staff there was very slow to respond. I as the groom found myself running around trying to locate water and our other guest were calling for paramedics. What was truly upsetting was that there was no first aid kit in the immediate area. While a first aid kit may have not made much of a difference the fact that one was nowhere in the immediate area is simply unacceptable. However, we continued with the celebration but it quickly became apparent that the staff there was not very well prepared and lack greatly in the customer service department. For one the staff was not very friendly to our guest. Furthermore, we had discussed a schedule of events that would take place and the times they would be announced by the DJ. However, this never happened. We found ourselves stepping away from the celebrations to locate the venue coordinator and ask what was going on. In addition the staff lacked greatly in the organization department we found a number of issues. Such as, the wrong number of plates and glasses setup in relation to the number of guest at a table. This proved problematic when toasting as some guest found themselves without a glass. In fact one finding that we simply thought was unacceptable is that a guest at the head table was not served a plate in fact the bride had to go and speak with the staff in order to have plate served. Finally we found the DJ to have very limited experience while he did play good music he did a poor job of getting the audience attention and making them aware of the preceding. Overall the venue is beautiful but if you are thinking of having your wedding there I would not recommend getting the package deal you may find yourself disappointed with the outcome. read more

We had our daughters quinceanera here on 8-24-2019, and let me just say it will be one of the most memorable days of our life! From beginning to end Brenda and her staff were on top of every single detail, I couldn't have planned it better in my head. The Venue is breathtaking and magical. Our family and friends were in awe with this hidden gem. I keep getting messages with how beautiful everything was even in 95 degree weather, they didn't even notice how warm it was. Everyone had a blast!. They were on point with the Mexican theme we asked for. They took care of everything which brought such comfort to me and allowed me to be in the moment with my daughter and family. I didn't worry about a thing. I'd also like to give a shout out to Charlie (Carlos for the day..haha) he worked as the bartender and all of our family and friends complimented on how efficient and friendly he and the staff were. The food, music, fruit bar, cake service was all perfect! Elvia was my right hand go to person if I needed a tissue she was right there if I needed a hair pin she was on it! As far as my daughter goes she said "mom everything was perfect" I knew I did something right:) It was worth every penny and I would do it all over again the same way! This was by far the WORST service I've ever recieved from anyone. I wanted to have a baby shower there and even tasted the food which was decent but I'm guessing Bertha the event coordinator has to run prices by her husband because when we went to the tasting her husband joe said the quote was too low and after that she ignored all my phone calls to her. I even sent emails. Very UNPROFESSIONAL SERVICE!! They need a class in professionalism. I've never been treated like this and it's their loss!! Anyone that asks I will tell them to NEVER do business with them. read more
