Jenny came to my family highly recommended by my aunt and it was the best decision we have ever made using Faithful Friends. To speak to the extent Jenny goes and her genuine love and willingness to take care of her "clients", our older pup is about 7 and has always been incredibly anxious particularly during thunderstorms. While we were in Florida this past week, a huge storm came through and not only did Jenny make sure to monitor its progress to ensure our pup got his anxiety medicine in time for relief but when the power went out, she went out of her way and far past the time she was paid for to bring over battery powered lights and set them up around our home to get the animals through the power outage most comfortably. She sat with both our dogs for a while giving them lots of love before heading home to her own family sending pictures and updates the entire time. I can not say with more certainty that my experience was incredible and our family LOVES Faithful Friends Pet Care and will continue to utilize their services in the future

There's no way to make such an event pleasant, but Rockhill did absolutely everything any vet. could do to make the experience as painless and meaningful as it could be for my cat and me. They called us as soon as we came in, gave us as much time as we needed in a special low-lit room, and let me leave through a side exit with a paw imprint, a cardboard coffin and the towel he was swaddled in as he died. Rockhill has been our family vet for a decade, and they've always been exceptional because they treat your animals as if they were their own.

Our very friendly dog got her lepto shot from a tech while Dr. Derstine looked on. No problem. Then another "tech" (long, dark, straight hair) came in for the blood draw and repeatedly stuck our petrified dog while she complained about "fur" until our dog understandably started wriggling and shrieked. Then Dr. Derstine and the 1st tech held down our dog until the incompetent tech got it write. We hate ourselves for allowing this to occur but we have never seen anything like in many years of dog ownership. Our dog ran out of the office and didn't look back. Neither will we. Dr. Derstine, it is not accepted vet practice to train techs in your office!!!

I was impressed with their intake - we had a thorough conversation going through his checklist to get info about the cat to make sure her sitters/hosts would know specific details about the cat (how much I usually feed her, that she doesn't like being petted on the stomach, etc). At the end of the day it's just a cat and all I really cared about was making sure she had food and water and was safe, but this was so much better than boarding her in a tiny cage or having a pet sitter stop by for just a few minutes a day. Knowing she would have a decent amount of space and regular human contact gave me the peace of mind to go on vacation and just not worry or think about her.

Based upon the booking screening, it was clear that the company is professional, well-run, and focused. They provide transportation for your pet to and from their boarding stay and even provide daily pictures of your pet via text. We were very happy with the arrangements until, in the middle of our vacation, we were told that our dog had an episode of weakness and was rushed to our vet whose information we provided at booking. Andrew stayed with our pet and transported him to the overnight Emergency vet for observation. Everything turned out fine and Andrew picked up our pet to finish his stay. Andrew went out of his way and not only did everything for our pet that we could have done, but he also kept us informed and comforted. The integrity, compassion, and dedication that PetsAreInn demonstrated during our time of deep concern helped us greatly and made us happy we chose a stay with a family in their home versus in a traditional pet kennel. Andrew at PetsAreInn was our pet's guardian angel, and we will look forward to using his service without hesitation going forward.

However, we were less than impressed as new guests upon arrival. The staff was not as welcoming and the expectation that was set while making the reservation fell pretty flat. We decided to try the resort one additional time because of the amount of positive reviews, but the second time also left us in disappointment. It was extremely difficult to get through to anyone when calling to check on our dogs. When making my reservation, I was told there would be communication about how our dogs were doing. This has not happened, so we tried to call, but the phones are not answered. I received no response to my voicemail or emails while I was traveling. The report cards that we received were duplicates even though our dogs have very different personalities. One of our dogs came home not feeling well, although his report card said he was "rambunctious". I hesitated before writing this very honest review because I may give the resort one additional opportunity to change my perspective. I have attached a copy of each duplicated report card that was received for my dogs as well as the email that was left without a response. Consideration should really be given to the offerings that are promised if there is not capacity to provide quality results/products.
