We've been taking Maxie here for daycare for about a year now. Not only does Bark U make it super fun for the doggies, but also for their humans! We now have a collection of adorable photos of Maxie from their theme-day parties...Wizard of Oz, "Bark" to school, Halloween and of course, Holiday, and they were kind enough to give US a gift of a mug with a photo of Maxie on it to mark his "alumni" status! The Bark U team is thoughtful and compassionate and takes great care of their clients! Highly recommend!

We have been sending the boys to Christine since they were puppies . She helped us understand the trouble they were getting into and helped with training. After graduation they loved going so much we transferred them into 2 days a week daycare. I really think they know when they're supposed to get picked up by the van (Puppy bus ) they just stare at the door waiting on Tuesday and Fridays. It makes me happy that their mentally happy, they are socializing with other dogs and getting to run off leash. We also board them with them. The facility is clean (which is a must for me) open and organized. The van (puppy bus) pick up is so convenient. I have no guilt whatsoever leaving them here while we're traveling. We have tried other places before Bark U they really don't compare.

I am looking forward to sending her in on the Puppy Bus and now feel so much more comfortable with her boarding there for the holidays.

I retained…read moresomeone who lived very close to me and had great reviews, but after a few sessions I realized our schedules were not compatible; I was not getting consistency and reliability from her. It's important for me to make progress with my dog, so I Googled alternate options and stumbled upon Alex's page. I called him on a Friday and he picked up the phone right away. We spoke for a while about my needs and he came out the following Tuesday for what was supposed to be a 2-hour visit. I fell in love with him immediately, he is not only so personable and likable on his own, but he really takes the time to LISTEN to what you need and work on those things right away. I had mentioned my priorities to my previous trainer, but I found that she was teaching my dog commands that didn't actually accomplish what I was after. In our first meeting, Alex worked on SO MANY of my priorities. He got my dog to go into her crate on command, taught her to "stay," showed me how to "walk with" my dog better on her leash, and (using a 30' leash outdoors) started working on recall with her. We were so immersed in what was going on that Alex started to go a little bit over our time, but he didn't want to stop because we were making such great progress. I told him if he wanted to give me a third hour right then and there that I was prepared to pay for it, and he did!! I learned a lot of things from Alex myself during our first meeting, like how to employ the use of "deltas" (which my old trainer never once mentioned) and how non-verbal cues are arguably more important than verbal ones. Again, my old trainer actually discouraged me from using hand motions, but once incorporating them into my routine I noticed that my dog was much more compliant than she had been. Another positive difference between my old trainer and Alex is he really takes the time to teach you why he's doing what he's doing, and encourages you to participate. My old trainer just taught my dog a command and had me replicate/practice when she left. Alex really makes you feel like you are a part of the teaching process. After our private session Alex recommended some "Small Group Therapy" for my pup. He came at noon on a Thursday to pick up my dog and she proceeded to go on a several-hour outing with his two chihuahuas and a dog he was fostering. The entire time he was out with her he was recording and sharing videos on an iCloud album. It was INCREDIBLE to not only see everything that was happening, but to hear him narrate why he was doing the things he was doing. I could not get enough of his videos and felt like I was there during the session. On top of Alex's excellent communication, punctuality, reliability, friendliness, competency, and effectiveness, his rates are OUTRAGEOUS in the BEST way! I truly believe he is under-charging for his services. I can get three hours with Alex for less than I paid for one hour with my prior trainer, and I feel much better about the work that is done during that timeframe. I adore Alex, and most importantly, what he is doing works. He really gets into the mind of your dog, and has such a wonderful way of connecting with them and their needs. I am elated to keep our work going - my pup has lots more Small Group Therapy outings in her future and it's wonderful that I have the option to use him one-on-one to teach her even more commands in the house. One day I hope to move on from essential commands to more fun ones, like "roll over" or "go get X toy."

My husband and I adopted a 2-year-old rescue yellow lab from a breeding farm who needed a lot of support adjusting to home life. When we first started working with Michelle, we could barely make it out our front door. Walks felt overwhelming due to reactivity to cars, people, and other dogs. We began private lessons with Michelle about four weeks after bringing our pup home, and she was truly amazing from day one. Patient, knowledgeable, and incredibly supportive, she met us exactly where we were and gave us practical tools that made a real difference. Now, the transformation has been unbelievable. We're regularly going on multiple 1+ mile walks every day, and they're not just manageable...they're genuinely enjoyable. Navy absolutely loves them, and so do we. We honestly can't thank Michelle enough for helping us build this kind of life with our dog. We recommend her to anyone we know getting a dog and will absolutely be back as we continue working on new goals. Thank you so much, Michelle, you were truly a lifesaver.

First, I'd toss out that 2 star review from the person in Savanah, GA. Seems unlikely someone from…read moreGA would call for a dog assessment from a company in King of Prussia - but that's just me. We have 2 dogs, both rescues from Lancaster puppy mills. One was a mill momma for 7 years and very traumatized. We spent 2 years working through her trauma. Then we adopted a 4 month old through the same rescue. Far less trauma, but we knew 2 things - she was smart as a whip - and going to be a handful so we decided to find a trainer. The rescue partners with At Attention so we looked into them. At first I was turned off by the aggressive, military bootcamp style name - then was pleasantly surprised to learn they do only positive reinforcement training. We looked at their services and staff and chose Andrea. Loved her back story and felt she'd have the vibe that would be right for our trauma dog. And she did. We'd never worked to train our trauma dog beyond the absolute basics because her trauma was so deep she'd revert. The pup however needed active training. We did the initial consult and Andrea observed all the things with little input from us, suggested a plan that included giving the trauma dog the basics. So we signed up for 5 sessions of the basic puppy training at our home because - again - the trauma dog would not have done well out of her environment. I can't say enough positive things about our experience with Andrea. She's got definite "dog whisperer" mojo. She's knowledgeable, loves the dogs and is just a kind hearted spirit (which the trauma dog gravitates to). The new puppy hit the extra willful stage so we signed up for another 5 sessions and it's been kind of miraculous. The puppy is learning the rules and older trauma pooch is learning how to be a dog. The two now play together for extended periods of time, something we never thought the trauma dog would have in her life. The trauma dog is helping to teach the puppy the rules of the house, and the puppy is teaching her how to be - well - a puppy. Money well spent and Andrea is an amazing trainer!
