Rude. Threatened to put a lean on my house 3 days after working and before sending me a bill.

I contacted On Demand for an estimate on removing a large 140 year old live oak which had fallen in my yard. I was told that I was in luck, as their estimator was in my area that day and would stop by. Chirp, chirp.....do you hear the crickets? No estimator ever showed up, I got zero phone call from their estimator Or their office. They failed the basic customer service test, which is inform the customer. read more

I chose On Demand Tree Service for several reasons. 1. All of the positive remarks from previous customers. 2. How fast Mike the owner came out to give me a price. 3. The price was very reasonable. 4. How fast he could get give me a date to get my work done. All of the workers were so polite, fast and cleaned up after themselves. Once everything was finished they had me come out to check and make sure I was happy or if I needed any more branches to come down. They'd step back look at my two oak trees to make sure they were even and then come back and take a few more down. Mike was on site almost the whole time and when he had to leave to meet another customer for a quote, his brother would be here, which he introduced me to in case I had an issue. I even had a tree removed and the stump grinned down, which they hauled all of the mess away. I had incredibly fast work done with this company for removing and stump grinding 2 large oaks, a dead jacaranda tree, as well as pruning and hedging overgrown vegetation on a double lot. I posted a review on another site and decided to hire them again to rejuvenate my lawn and plant a new jacaranda as per county code. I couldn't be more impressed with Paige's responsiveness and Mike's flexibility. He gave me landscaping ideas and was willing to work outside of regular business hours to accommodate my project. I contacted Paige and requested a quote to remove a large Oak tree. The owner, Jimmy, responded quickly and gave me a quote that no one could beat. They showed up right on time, the day that the work was scheduled, and three hours later the three was down and gone. Not only did they remove the tree and grind down the stump, but they blew all of the leaves off of my roof, out of my flowerbeds and raked the lawn without being asked. From the initial call to schedule an estimate to the completion of the job, doing business with Mike and his team was a total pleasure. Mike met with me just a couple of days after my initial call and when I called the office to schedule the work, they scheduled the job for the following Monday (which happened to be Memorial Day). The team showed up on Monday morning at 9:00 a.m. and they worked steadily until after noon when the job was complete. I don't have enough space to tell you what a fantastic job they did but every single member of the crew was professional and hard working! They worked me in the schedule at the last minute, and the crew was not only early, but also conducted themselves professionally during the job. Well, I can't imagine a better tree service experience. Mike came out (exactly on time) on a Thursday to give a (very fair) quote and the team returned (exactly on time) Monday morning to do the job. They took out two trees in power lines and trimmed over a dozen palms. The team was very professional. Everybody had their role and filled it well. The man with the chainsaw seemed extremely competent, the crew cleaning up was thorough (removing waste, raking, and blowing debris), and Mike was there the whole time helping out, overseeing, and checking in with me to make sure it was what I wanted. I'm not surprised that all of their reviews are so positive because they simply do their job very well. I had a terrible experience with On Demand Tree Service.They will damage your property (they created several thousands of dollars in damages on my property from a simple stump removal) and provide not much more than lip service as reimbursement.
