Last fall we had a pretty big roof leak upstairs. We called several roofing companies for an estimate and, by far, Shabir from On Point roofing repair gave us the best estimate. Because it was raining heavily he made it a point (no pun intended) to come on one of the days that it stopped raining in order that we wouldn't have more inside damage to the home. The repair was done well and efficiently. Now, unfortunately we have more roof leaks. I didn't hesitate to pick up the phone and call him to have our roof repaired once again. Repairs haven't been completed yet but I have no doubt he will quickly identify the source of the leaks and repair it before the next heavy rain. Shabir was very helpful with identifying the source of a major water leak after an intense rainstorm in late December. He located the problem including a general inspection of my roof and noted possible indicators of loose tiles where water penetrates the lining of the roof. Replaced a bunch of cracked/broken tiles, secured slipped tiles, resealed all vent pipes, clean outed and widened all valleys which weren't done properly to begin with, and sealed mortar caps using clear sealant. Great experience from beginning to end! Owner was super nice and very professional when giving us an estimate. The two guys who came out to do the work were very courteous and professional. They replaced 21 tiles and sealed up spots that needed to be sealed, we even have a 4 year warranty. ZERO stars is to MUCH for the quality of work. To include mismatched tiles, used not agreed upon roofing caulking, improperly applied caulking with areas to allow water to penetrate, left loose tiles, water proofing membrane was cut short at the vertical seam. This company came out to do a simple repair on my roof, what they failed to realize was that I have roofing experience and knowledge. Ended up returning three times to correct poor work, to the point where I am having another roofing contractor inspect and provide a second opinion on the finished repair before I decide whether or not to make final payment. This company fails to notify you early if they are running late or not coming at all, no consideration for your time. It was agreed ahead of time we would use asphalt/roofing caulking around the edges and at the aluminum flashing union, the morning off the final repair, i get a text to see if it was OK to use an all-purpose exterior caulking, luckily i had the correct asphalt type caulking on hand. This is just the type of poor craftsmanship you can expect. They were supposed to save some old tiles so i can have them on hand to replace cracked tiles in the future, but they took all of them and when i brought it to their attention, they said they took the the tiles with them and never returned them. Finally, to my surprise, the day after receiving the final invoice for repair, i receive a text from the owner sharing his belief that i intended not pay the invoice, and that he would undo all the repair and would take back all of his installed material, to which i happily agreed too. I can only say, if you choose this company, inspect the finished work, jump on youtube and edúcate yourself on how the repair should look like. read more

In my lifetime I have never had a contractor as honest as On Point Roofing. I had them out a year ago to repair a roof leak after a large storm but, we didn't have a chance to see if it worked. A year of rain later and no leak but, fast forward to this months big storm and of course the leak is back and more. They came out and quoted me an amount that seemed like I was ripping him off. He told me it was under warranty since he was here a year ago. He was able to come back in under a week to fix the repair and this time we simulated rain on the roof to verify it is fixed. I tried to pay him more but he refused and told me it was covered under his warranty. Regardless of the size of the company, these guys have the integrity and honesty not usually seen in contracting. Usually, I do not write reviews unless I am overly impressed with customer service or performance of services. In these times, it is important to let contractors know customer service starts with that initial phone call from the customers. Where contractors are failing is they do not take your information, you have to send it to them. Or it could be the later they take your information and never get back to you. You make return calls to the contractor, but they never get back to you, while you the customer is still in need or service. Also, they make appointments, but never show and some are non-committal as far as a date or time they can show. When you call back, they have call screening. Therefore, be prudent with your selection of contractors who do like work. Their inability to provide service which cost nothing, communication, might cost you in the long run. If you see this review listed under a contractor, it is because they were not concerned enough about my customer needs or services which I need to have done on my property. read more

On Point Roofing: Honest, professional company We had no leak. Because of high winds, a 3ft x 1ft metallic flashing sheet was bent 90 degrees, and was visible from street level; if the wind blew hard again, this was like a sail waiting to move/damage the tiles and the roof. I called on 2/2/23 one roofing company for a repair estimate. A secretary fixed an appointment with a "project manager" (PM) on 2/9/23. PM came on time. He inspected the roof with a "drone." He showed me on the drone's camera screen the flashing and some tiles that needed to be replaced or fixed. When I asked him about the warranty of the work, he said there was NO WARRANTY. This was illogical; if a leak occurred after their job, since we had no leak before, this would be because of their reckless behavior. Then I called on 2/17/23 five roofing companies. Four of them had answering machines turned on. The last one that I called was On Point, and a person answered; his name was Shabir, he was the owner. He said he would come the next day. He came; I showed him the metallic sheet from the street; he diagnosed it as a flashing right there. He said he would go up on the roof and check. He went up, and took pictures of the tiles that needed repair; while up there, he already corrected the flashing. He gave a very reasonable estimate; and there was a FOUR YEARS WARRANTY about any leak. The repairs were done on 2/21/23. His crew (Duran and his aid) were also kind and professional; they took the pictures of each repair before and after; they finished the job within three hours. We requested a quote for replacing roof tiles (65) and received a fair price however when we checked through the state licensing board we found no license listed. When selling a house youre required to have a licensed and bonded contractor to do the work. Im sorry that we could not hire them and they should be careful advertising themselves as roofing contractors.
