I wanted to give this studio the benefit of the doubt but unfortunately in the 2 weeks of dealing with them I am less than pleased. There are three main issues that I have 1) cost 2) staff lacking knowledge and 3) organization. The teachers seem so nice and love working with the kids but it is unfortunate that the owner/staff can't get it together. 1) Although the price for the weekly classes are comparable to other studios in the area, the cost for costumes for the show are OUTRAGEOUS...I mean this is the IE, not Julliard. I have a 2 and 4 year old enrolled and each costume for the show is $70+tax, extra (tights, etc) and the cost to see your own child perform is $20 per family member. Now 2 kids in the show, 1 kid in 1 number and the other in 2 numbers, that is a whopping $210 just for the costume!! From experience my child has been in 2 other recitals at another local studio, and the costume was $30 and tickets were $10 pre-sale $12 at the door. I feel like at such a young age when all they are going to do is go up on stage and wiggle about and most likely freak out why are the costumes so elaborate and pricey...maybe that is just me but this is strike one... 2) Staff not Helpful in asking questions... On my children's Saturday morning class I asked the front desk receptionist 3 questions... is this class going to be in the recital (response I don't know check the website, fair enough) when does the class start its after 10 (I don't know ask the teacher, ok where is the teacher? response...I don't know) Ok then... I get 2 phone calls in the same day asking if we needed any help with ordering the costume or questions about the costume/recital so I ask about the costume does it come with both skirts picture or just one, do they wear both, do we order separate , etc? The nice young ladies response that called me was...you guessed it "I don't know you will have to ask the teacher." Pardon my logic but why are you calling to ask me if I had questions if you can not even answer basic questions....Strike 2 3) The 2 times my children attended class they never announced that one class was starting and the next was beginning, it was just a cluster of people /parents/tots moving about and there is little organization to the viewing area where parents are waving at their kids constantly and hogging the area...could use a little more crowd control/parent management. Strike 3... back to our old studio we go, schedule worked better for us here but just not working out. read more

Amazing dance studio!!! My daughter has been dancing here for 2 years and has grown so much as a dancer! We recently moved 30 min away and we still come to On Pointe because of the awesome staff. They teach great dance techniques and share their passion for dance. My daughter loves Mrs.Cristina and all her dance team friends, and I have made great friendships with the other dance moms! This was our first time/first class here and although we like the class, so far the service is terrible and would not recommend it. We wanted to pay/sign up for recital but left out of town right after class. Bc there was a huge line we asked if we can pay for recital via phone later and was told yes. After calling an hr later was told by another girl we couldn't pay via phone and she wasn't sure why someone told us we could. Deadline was that day! Thanks for nothing! Oh BUT my friends were able to pay via phone!! Additionally, we asked about the recital outfit, they didn't know. Ok. When is the rehearsal? They didn't know. Keep in mind they said rehearsals is mandatory if you sign up for recital. Asked what time rehearsal would be to see if we could commit, again...they didn't know. The answers are usually "I don't know", contradicting or confusing. No policy or organization, "rules" are whatever they feel like that day at that moment you ask. It's a joke! UPDATE: We went in to cancel today and they literally threw a paper at me. Didn't say anything, didn't bother to ask why we're cancelling or how they could better assist us or for future dancers/to better their business, nope! This studio is amazing and I feel so grateful to live nearby. The staff has been so easy to work with and so accommodating with my children's needs. Cristina has been an amazing instructor to my girls through the past few years. I feel fortunate to have someone so passionate, patient and truly understanding. I love how she takes the time to get to know each girl and nurture a love of dance within each individual's character. I have loved watching my four year-old grow with higher self esteem. We also have had experience with several other instructors and they have been nothing but kind and professional as well. I love the variety of classes that are offered at this studio. Great classes, wonderful environment, lovely dance family. My child has been in classes and competition team and all of it has been a great experience. My daughter has been attending On Pointe since January 2016. My daughter started off in ballet for 2-3year olds and moved onto ballet/tap for 3-5year olds. Tuition is very reasonable! Cristina and her staff are all very professional and super friendly. My daughter can be shy at times and Ms.Cristina and her staff all have made her feel comfortable and excited about dancing. The studio is well kept up and always clean! Performances are fun for dancers and also for parents and family watching. Performances are optional. Costume prices are decent. The costumes are always beautiful and well made. Ticket prices for performances are range from $15 pre sale and $20 regular for ages 5 and up. I highly recommend on pointe studio!! read more

Perhaps some parents are more high maintenance than I am, but I feel that it is the fact that it is a smaller studio and that the owner is accessible -- and even teaches several classes herself -- that make this a great dance studio. Christina manages to handle upwards of 10 toddlers at once w/o so much as blinking an eyelash, which would frazzle even the most seasoned of mommies. During one class, one of the little girls started crying and Christina managed to comfort her while continuing the class; even told the mommy it was okay to let her stay in the class. Impressive in my book! I originally came to the school because it was the only one that offered classes for my youngster's age group. But, seeing the beautifully decorated studio, interacting with the extremely nice employees and instructors and enjoying the very reasonable prices will have us sticking with On Pointe as well as recommending anyone looking for a good quality dance studio! read more

We tried to join mid recital period, however, the hip hop instructor did not incorporate my daughter into the class as a walk-in and rather made her sit out (for two class sessions before we pulled her) because she wasn't participating in the recital. The instructor sat her during the time they worked on recital pieces, which was at least 50% of the hour session (if not more- she did warm ups and maybe 10 min of free style at the end). I didn't think much of it at the sit in session because I figured we hadn't committed ourself to the class so it made sense not to focus on teaching my daughter the routine. However, after we joined and week two she sat even longer than the sit in session I became concerned. My daughter went into the class full of excitement and left sad. The director was attentive at resolving our concerns and issued a refund at our request. The studio is nice enough but not all the instructors are skilled to teach younger kids (my daughter just turned 6) or adapt to rolling registration, which the program claims to be. My daughter was the one who ultimately made the decision not to return because she said she didn't feel welcome. (She is six!!) We have thankfully found another studio in the area that is much more inclusive. read more

Brought my niece to this studio years ago when it first opened to a class with Ms Cristina. My niece loved class and Ms Cristina got my niece to open up and not be so shy. My daughter actually attends the Orangecrest location, however we have been to the Norco studio on several occasions for various reasons. The staff is mostly the same and the owner is the same. We love the studio and have had nothing but great experiences. Cristina, the owner, is probably one of the sweetest individuals you will ever meet. She responds quickly to emails and devotes so much of her free time into making the whole dance experience nothing short of amazing for her dancers. My daughter has weekly privates with Cristina for her competition solo and she is not only knowledgeable in what the judges want, but is supportive and nurturing towards my little girl who is definitely on the sensitive side. I had my 4 years old daughter attending the dance class for a few month. Personally I didn't like the studio. The rooms are very small and suffocating. Most importantly, she had no improvement on dancing skills. It seems she just went to play and jump around with other kids. The teachers r inexperienced and can't motivate kids to dance. After all, I feel this studio is just an extended daycare, it didn't do much in term of bringing out kids' interest in dancing. read more

If you really want details, I had asked about the costume because my daughter had switched classes (from 4pm to 5pm), all i got was an "i don't know", so time passes and the recital comes, and I have a very upset little girl. Frankly, I'm offended that you would accuse me of ordering the wrong costume. I really feel disgusted. And, please, don't send me a refund, because it's not about the money, it's the principle of the matter. If you really cared, like you say you do, you would have called to check on my daughter and see how she was. But, it took you months, and this is the response I get. I honestly think you forgot about her, and you saw this review, and now you are trying to make yourself look like you do care. I love this studio! My daughter just started and I like how friendly and professional the staff is. They have classes for all ages and different styles, and in the event that your child is absent or cant make the class, they allow you 30 days to make up the class even if its not the same style (but same age group) which allows for the girls to try out a different style for a day. The recitals look amazing and fun, my daughter is so excited for her first recital in a few months.....about the negative review here...im very sensitive to negative reviews when it comes to a place im thinking of going, but i can tell you that person seems to be exaggerating. I ordered my daughters costume online and they have a video showing how to measure. Once you place the order , there are many disclosures you have to agree before checkout where you specifically agree you provided the right measurements, you hold yourself responsible for the order and what to do for refund. This is not a reflection on the studio or the teachers. They have drop in classes where you can have your daughter try out a class before signing up and i definitely recommend going and checking out the studio for yourself, you will love it:) read more

My youngest daughter started dancing at On Pointe at the age of 2.5. She is very shy and very much a mommies girl so I was a little nervous at first. She did cry the first few classes but Ms. Cristina helped her through the class, made it fun and exciting and soon, my daughter forgot why she was crying and was having a blast. She is now in an hour long combo class and there is NEVER a dull moment. Ms. Cristina even makes stretching for Ballet a fun time! :) The staff is amazing, I'm greeted every time I walk in the door by a smiling face and they make an effort to get to know you and your kids. They are helpful and informative, getting information out via email, FB and phone calls - as a busy Mom, I really appreciate this. One thing that is really important to me and On Pointe has never let me down on, is the cleanliness of the studio. With that many kids coming in and out each day, they manage to keep all of it clean, swept and organized. There hasn't been a dance class that has gone by that I haven't seen the staff cleaning the bathroom or around the studio in general. They go the extra mile and you don't see that often anymore! Overall I'm very happy with the experience that I've had there. We've made many lifelong friends and my daughter continues to love dancing at there. I can't ever see us at another studio!! read more
