Mr Derek does not upsell and does not give BS; he is transparent and candid about the diagnosis process, the repairs, and the quotes. He offered to run simple tests on batteries and inspections of the car for me for free. He also responds quickly to requests, questions via Yelp and phone. My alternator of the car was bad and Mr Derek gave me two options: remanufactured and OEM. He clearly explained what the pros and cons of each one and respected my decision. Instead of different mechanics handling different tasks on the same car, one technician is now assigned to oversee the entire job from start to finish, including quality control and final sign-off. That change directly addresses the issue that led to my situation, and I'm glad to hear they're taking it seriously. My original experience was upsetting and created real safety risks while I was traveling alone, and I stand by how important it is for shops to be vigilant--especially with something as critical as tires. FYI, this location is under new ownership and feels disorganized and poorly supervised. It's disappointing, given that the Christian Brothers brand emphasizes Christian values, honesty and integrity. Kevin can't stand the way automotive shops double or triple the price of parts and charge outrageous amounts for work to be done. While I was quoted anywhere from $1500-$900 by multiple other shops, Kevin helped me my own brand new parts for half the cost, he came to my home and made the repairs in less than three hours for a fair and sensible hourly rate. He sincerely wants to help get your repairs done at a reasonable cost.
