As a female customer, it can be daunting to approach major automotive undertakings and when I expressed my concern about the experience, Mike demonstrated the highest level of integrity and expressed his regret for the miscommunication. In many other service experiences, I've come across businesses and employees that will deny and gaslight customers to defend their errors. The guy who was going to repair the key ignition, called me if I would like to get a used part instead of a new one and I totally agreed because the cost was much less than the new one. The mechanics were excellent at that time. However, something happened a few years ago as the people changed. Prices went up quickly and it made me feel the recent change of employees was the issue. The last time I went there, I had an oil leak - after the oil change. I told them about it, had to take it back and they said it was not an oil leak and all they had to do was tighten up the lid. However, when I took my car to another auto shop to clean the headlights, they found an oil leak. They fixed it and did it the right way. This particular incident made it clear to me that Yost had no intention of fixing my vehicle correctly. That made me very angry as I spent thousands of dollars in the past. They said once the fuel system was fixed they would check it. They did not. Two weeks after picking up the truck, the chirping and shifting got so bad I returned. After a day, AM then told me the engine was shot. They also claimed I never told them about the problem. I didn't appreciate being charged $1400 an a vehicle that was nearly dead anyway, but this may have been a simple oversight. Still, the service was friendly and the prices are good. They are great about communication and I never feel pressured, which I really appreciate. Often they are able to give me a ride to work if I can wait for a little spell. Because they had to wait for the parts to arrive, the repair took all day rather than the estimated four hours, which was a bit frustrating. However, the shop went above and beyond to make things right: they stayed open past their closing time to finish the job so I wouldn't be without my car overnight, and they kindly provided rides to and from the shop.
