We choose the safety of our dog over the convenience of having a mobile groomer. Megan did a great job grooming our Pyrenese, however about 2 days later I noticed she would not stop licking and going after the area beneath her tail. Upon inspection, I noticed it was an open wound that was now infected. Megan had sheared too close to her skin, hurt our dog and did not inform me upon pick up. We took our dog to the vet, and after a round of antibiotics + putting a cone on my dog + 10 days later, the wound finally healed. As I told Megan via text message, my husband and I would've been more understanding had she informed us of the accident - mostly bc it would've given us more time to try and prevent the infection, but Megan did not say a word. That is why we cancelled all future appts with her and we personally would not recommend her as a groomer. We are realist and understand these things happen sometimes, but if the groomer does not have solid experience grooming larger breeds, they should also be up front about that. It takes a skilled groomer to groom our specific breed of dog safely. RESPONSE TO MEGAN: what you are failing to see is that my animal is your responsibility while under your care. As 'an experienced groomer' this shouldn't be something I need to clarify for you. Therefore, if my dog gets hurt in any way, shape, or form, while under your care, regardless of if you notice or not, it is YOUR responsibility. Your lack of taking responsibility is concerning. Stating you didn't notice and proving how neglectful of a groomer you are is also very concerning. We are very happy with our decision to take our business elsewhere. We urge others to please beware and check your animals thoroughly after you leave them with her. read more

Fair price point too, most other groomers have charged me a handsome extra for few/non-existing mats/fussiness etc and given my pup awful burns :( My dog looked and felt great after the grooming, his best ever. No cuts/burns/bruises either. I know my pup is a massive pest when it comes to washing/grooming but he had bonded with Megan by drop-off time despite that. We did not have a good experience with the massively reviewed Aussie mobile groomers, highly recommend you try out On the Dogs side instead. We just moved to the area and our mini schnauzer Inu was in major need of a haircut. Without knowing what the options were, I looked around Yelp and also on a local Facebook group. All other groomers were booked months in advance but I luckily found Megan and On the Dog's Side Grooming. Another person in my Facebook group also recommended her! She is a mobile groomer and comes to you. I had some free time so I asked if I could drop off my pup and maybe shave a few bucks off the cut and she said yes! Not only was she super, super nice but the cut turned out really great and only took about an hour. I always hated it when I dropped Inu off and they put her in a cage till it was her turn. I was looking for a groomer who would have the patients needed for my geriatric Pomeranian. It was suggested to look for a mobile groomer and I am so glad they did! I found Megan from Yelp.com and called her up, she was here within the week, came right to my door! We took Toby out to her awesome grooming van and of course he was skittish, but she talked to him in a soothing voice, even though he can't hear, but it helped. I left him with her and an hour or so later she delivered him and I wanted to cry (happy tears)...he looked so happy, not stressed like he always did from our previous groomers, hence why I needed to find a new one. We are so happy we found Megan, i have a scottie with a very tough personality, many groomers called me half way through grooming session saying they can't finish the job because they can't handle my dog. One of them actually suggested to put my scottie to sleep for a time of a haircut. Then we met Megan and she is great with my dog. And i see how my dog is wiggling her tail and runs to Megan when they meet, unlike her freaked out look and attempts to escape when we came to our previous grooming places. I don't know how she does it, to me it is just magic My dog looks happy and beautiful, her fur is shiny, clean and smells good. Nails nicely cut, which is very hard with black colored nails. Megan is awesome. I got her business card when she went to get her van serviced at my husbands auto repair shop, Calabazas Auto. It was perfect timing because my baby Buttons needed to be groomed and I had been looking for a mobile groomer. My husband said that he could tell talking to Megan how much she loved animals. And he was right. When I went out to meet her when she arrived her focus was on my baby Buttons. As I was walking back to my house after I gave her Buttons to groom I turned around and she was giving my baby a kiss on his head. She did not see that I had turned around to see what she was doing. She did a great job with the grooming. He looks great. I had asked that she cut his hair short but not shaved because winter was coming. She did this. I asked that she shave his tummy and she did this. She said that his ears were sensitive and because of this she was really careful so as not to upset him. He looks and smells so good. I will definitely be using her services again. My babies are my kids and if any of you out there feel the same way and need to have them groomed I strongly recommend Megan.
