I used to like PetSmart. But we recently were sent an autoship order without receiving prior notification to adjust the order or edit it if needed. The the order was shipped from our hometown in western SD to Osseo, Mn then to Denver then back to our hometown. (Very stupid Shipping Logistics) Unfortunately we were away for a few months and had a forwarding on our mail. The carton was then forwarded to where we are staying and ended up costing us an extra $30 in Shipping Fees. Very unhappy with their autoship practice. Had they sent an email to give me a heads up (like all other companies, where we have autoship, do) that this was going to be sent out, I would have adjust the order and changed the delivery address. But because of their lack of customer service I got stung. So much for free shipping. This won't happen again as I will no longer do business with PetSmart, who utilizes deceptive business practices. read more

This store has decent selection and good enough cleanliness, which ensured I didn't mind coming here when convenient. That's where the generous two stars go to. Unfortunately, the staff here are extremely unhelpful and so incredibly lazy to the point my recent visit will be my last. The way they treat people gives off the vibe that they believe they're somehow better than you. Must be looking pretty far down at us from their so very tall pedestal of entry level employee. They must believe customers are dumber than the staff are, since they expect you to pay double the price because they don't expect you to confront them. If even after reading all the reviews about the same constant issue of horrid management and you decide to attend this store, CHECK WHAT THEY CHARGE YOU. Make sure you know what you're supposed to be paying. The staff absolutely are NOT there to help you in any way and prioritize laziness over doing their job. Stick with Petco, the staff there are much more pleasant and happy to help since they actually care about the animals and customers. read more

Took our dog here today, some of her nails dont even looked like they were touched and some nails were cut so short that our pup was bleeding. We specifically request that our dog is not kenneled, but was kennel dried today regardless of our preference. Our chihuahua is not aggressive but was shaking, probably because her nails were bleeding. We asked to speak to a manager about the substandard service our pup received, and conveniently, a manager was not on shift. Will not be taking our dog back here and will not just not recommend, but advise others to not bring their dogs here. read more

I would give them less than one star but the app made me pick 1. The grooming department has the worst customer service that a person could imagine. My dog was turned away today because his ear was too matted to give him a bath. He was turn away 2 weeks ago because his rabies vaccine was expired by 3 days ( I understood that time but they were aware well in advance and didn't give us a courtesy reminder) they came to door with a copy of the vaccination record and the first thing they said was " did you get his vaccines? read more

The groomers at Petsmart are wonderful! Shawndra and Ken not only do an amazing job with our sweet but stubborn Saint Bernard, but you can tell they truly love animals. Today while waiting to pick up Ladybug, I witnessed a corgi that was very scared about getting his nails clipped and Shawndra and the other groomer (not sure of her name), were so gentle and loving with him. It's hard to trust your animals with others but I have full confidence in them! read more

Worst grooming service ever. I do not recommend this Petsmart. Had my dog for 4 hours and did not do what I asked for. I asked for haircut. They gave him a bath and some lame excuse why they didn't give him a haircut. Complete waste of 4 hours and $25. Had to schedule an appointment with a different groomer. HORRIBLE AND RUDE read more

My family and I have been loyal customers to this store for many years. I have spent a lot of money at this store and use to enjoy coming here. Over the last year or so customer service has really started lacking and staff has not been very helpful or friendly. Recently I purchased a reptile enclosure online. After purchasing it I found a different enclosure at another store for $100 cheaper so I returned the unopened and unused enclosure to Petsmart. The employee who did my return was a young girl and a cashier. She was very rude and she seemed annoyed that I had a return. She had to ask the manager to come over to approve the return. It's been 8 days and I still haven't received my refund. I called today to ask Petsmart if they knew the time frame on returns (wondering if it could take up to 10 days or if I should have already received it) a lady named Peggy answered. After explaining everything she said, "what are you asking me? You didn't get your return or what's the question". She then told me I would need to contact my bank, I explained again that it wasn't through my bank, it was an electronic card I used. she said "well that's still a bank, you'll have to contact them, I can't help you". She had a very rude tone. Returns are part of their job and the way they've handled this return makes me feel that management should do some customer service training and phone etiquette with their employees. We will no longer be going through them for any of our pet needs. Petco is 100 times cleaner and friendlier. read more

We have used PetSmart for years. Several of our dogs and our current pup for the last 3 years except for a brief time have been groomed here.. Our last appointment they would not groom the dog because of his rabbies shot. Which was due In October but past their date. Had an appointment with our vet. I keep my dogs shots current, but I can understand that. We made another appointment as soon as we could get in on a Saturday. We have an hours drive each way and work M-F. So today 2 weeks after the last appointment we get to our appointment and they will not cut him because his ears are matted, mind you I had brushed them before he went and have never had any groomer refuse to cut my dogs hair. It's their policy. We try to cut his hair every 6-8 weeks. So all the other times that they have cut my dogs hair what was the policy? If I would have known I would have cut the ear hair myself but I guess they don't have the customer service to make a call that says make sure your dogs hair is groomed before you show up to have him groomed. So then when we talk to the manager she can't do anything and we have to call corporate. Wait on the phone 20 minutes finally talk with someone who was very nice and they are supposed to contact us. I will believe it when I see it. We will never set foot in PetSmart again. If that's the best you can do for your long time customers it's not very good. Customer service is going down the toilet in most places any more!! read more

The service is great! People are always willing to ask what you need. The place is clean and friendly. I have a big fish tank and am always looking for new additions and/or feeder fish. I took away a star because their fish selection is always locked in. It'd be nice to have a few new different fish types circulate in with each shipment. read more

I've come in here twice and both times, I was never greeted or asked if I could be helped. I had to stand in one place for 15 minutes and then literally get into someone's face to get any help at all. When I did ask for help, the lady was incredibly useless and it made it very hard for me to want to give them any of my business. If she didn't know what to tell me, she should have found someone who could actually help. I'm a person, I would totally understand that she would at least take the initiative to find an answer to my question. Train your people and work on your service! read more
